Lmao.... But do you line them all up on the counter and then use a looking glass to see better in case your own eyes didn't see the invisible line? No? I don't do that either......... 🙃

@VixFromThe6ix 😂…and I definitely don’t shine lights through the back of the test window to see if I can illuminate an invisible line that doesn’t exist to the naked eye. Nope. Not me.

Omg the light works!!! I wasn't able to take a picture with the light behind the test but you can see it so much clearer!!!! I got another way to obsess. Yay!!! @Eirlys1986 thanks for the tip.
Btw this is the rest (the lower one) that became positive after like an hour. Looks convincing, right? The top test was taken two hours later and it's a clear negative.
Next time I talk to my fertility doctor I'm gonna ask what this could be.

In other news, I became hopeful I had implantation bleed earlier tonight and now pretty certain I’m having a 23 day cycle and period. Booooo

@VixFromThe6ix it isn’t getting heavier but it has a distinctly “period” feel to it and I have been the absolute irritable pisspot from hell the last 3 days mood wise so I suspect it’s early PMS. I will feel more hopeful if all bleeding stopped tomorrow but I don’t know. Periods have been bang on 28 day cycle the last few times but I did sometimes have 23-24 day cycles prior to having my son. I shall report back tomorrow! 👍🏻

14dpo here, no spotting or AF yet (usually starts 13dpo). Temp still reasonably high but disrupted sleep and wake up times this past couple of weeks have impacted reliability of that.
Going to wait until the evening and if no AF will test. Found some interesting info about timing of pregnancy tests (see below). It’s reassuring as I only got a BFP with my first child on 18dpo but now I realise I was always using FMU.

I’ve also read something lately about how pink dye tests can absolutely be valid outside of the time frame, as the urine continues to move up the strip (covered by the cap, eg a FRER). The second line will only turn pink with hcg which is only produced in pregnancy. My bfp with my first child was actually negative within the time frame at 18dpo and I checked it in the bin after 8hours and there was a faint pink line!

Sorry to hear you’ve been having a stressful time of it with testing @VixFromThe6ix! Wishing you so much luck and I hope you get more positives!
I definitely do the same as you and @Eirlys1986 and I always get my phone torch out to have a better look! I find that looking at the tests sideways (so the line would be horizontal rather than vertical) and also slightly bending the cheap tests so they’re curved (if that makes sense) are the most disheartening things as I can sort of convince myself I see something when they’re flat and the right way up, but I do those things to get a closer look and it really emphasises the stark whiteness haha.

Im feeling really fed up today. I got a tiny bit of hope this cycle as we actually dtd at the right time for once, and then my IBS came back which I haven’t had since I got pregnant with my son. As it’s hormone related I started to think maybe I could be pregnant, but today (10 dpo) my bbt dropped lots and I also got a BFN. My period’s not due for 5 days and I know they say you’re not out until it arrives, but I don’t want any hope really when I just know I’m out this month, as it’s when I get my hopes up that it’s worst when my period comes. Also it’s my 39th birthday on Sunday and I started having all these little imaginings of testing positive just before my birthday 😢

@Mrsspoon3 I also bend the tests because like you my brain imagines something that it's seeb before but changing the way the test lays tricks my brain into seeing clearly.
I'm sorry you're feeling fed up today. I would be too. Every time we managed to DTD at the right time for some reason I thought this is it. Each and every time. So it was always kind of sad when I'd feel things but it's just my body telling me my period is coming. I don't know enough about bbt to say if you still got a chance or not but I guess there is always a chance of error and yes, anything is still possible till your period officially arrives.
It was my birthday on Aug 26 and we just did our first round of IUI days before my bday, so I Romanticized it as an early bday present. The thought that I conceived in the last days of my 30s. So I completely understand you on how you're feeling.
Do you plan to test more?

@Mrsspoon3 sorry to hear you’re feeling fed up 😞, it’s all a bit rubbish isn’t it? I know you feel like you’re definitely out and sometimes it seems kinder not to hope but you really do never know till AF arrives. I will continue to hope ok your behalf!
AF definitely now arrived early for me, a 23 day cycle, fan-bloody-tastic 😤. My toddler slept through but I spent the night awake with cramping…annoyed and disappointed this morning and really fed up

I am thinking about temping next cycle, I have never tried it before and only ever used OPKs, does anyone do this and can share their experience, what’s best to use etc? Figure it’s worth trying 😊xx
