I hear you @VixFromThe6ix I bought loads of cheap hcg sticks so I can torture myself for days until AF arrives 😂I really hope you get a BFP soon. Sounds like your journey so far has been very difficult and yet you are still kind enough to help others with support and share tips ❤

VixFromThe6ix · 31/08/2023 18:11

@Optimist1981 aw thank you that's so nice of you to say. I am happy to share anything I know or experienced because I know this journey can be long and hard. I think you'll find support in this group is great, especially on those days you feel more down than usual.
That said, I hope you have a bfp soon 🤞🏻

@H0pefull My best friend didn't test positive until 4 days after her missed period. You're not out until your period comes 🤞

Eirlys1986 · 31/08/2023 18:37

@VixFromThe6ix really hope you’re not feeling too stressed out by the current testing situation, I sure know I would be. I was testing negative on Frer all the way until day of period being due with my son then boop!all of a sudden strong positive, so there’s always hope till the last minute.
@Optimist1981 I agree, it sounds like you’re doing everything right, my mummy actually only had me as her first and only child with my at the time 50 year old father at the age of 42 herself so your body can do it so just try to keep as positive as possible and keep trying 😊. The only thing I would add to everything you’re looking at already is a vitamin specifically tailored to over 35s ttc such as proceive max(people are going to be bloody sick of me banging on on here about it), it is gross expensive but a fair few ladies on here are giving the cheaper proceive tablets a go this month instead of the max sachets. May be worth a gander if you haven’t already x

Hi @VixFromThe6ix thanks for the welcome. I've not thought about testing because we've agreed that if it doesn't happen for us we're not going to proceed with any intervention and will just accept what we do have and be grateful. However, you've raised a very good point, there may be some non-invasive things we could do to improve our chances if we know about certain issues. Food for thought - thanks so much!

Coq10 can improve egg quality in older potential mums

Optimist1981 · 31/08/2023 21:44

@worldwidetravel2017 @Eirlys1986 Thank you for your messages. I should have said myself and partner have been taking Zita West supplements since April. I had to wait 2 mths for coil removal on the nhs so that let them build up as I'm sure coq10 takes 16 weeks to get to optimum levels. Will look at proceive as ZW is very pricey.

MrsBP15 · 31/08/2023 21:53

@VixFromThe6ix I’m sorry you’re going through a confusing time. I hope things become clearer for you very soon. I imagine the not knowing us the worst part!

@Optimist1981 Welcome! Sending you luck for your ttc journey. Im sure you’ll find people here really supportive, I certainly have.

@H0pefull I can’t comment because I don’t test but I’ve seen a lot about people not getting a positive until quite a few days after period is due so it’s seems it’s possible!

i’m CD7 and have had some mild, dull cramps today which for me is back pain as I don’t get any abdominal pain when I’m on my period. I’m due to ovulate on CD14 which is when I’ve ovulated in past cycles so should be accurate. Is this normal? Could it be early ovulation pain? Is it too early? Or is it likely nothing?!

BB2023 · 31/08/2023 22:03

@VixFromThe6ix what a confusing time, still early so see if you can hold out a little longer - know that is super difficult though!

@Optimist1981 Welcome, lovely to have you here. Keeping everything crossed for you xx

BB2023 · 31/08/2023 22:07

If I OV when I thought I did then I think AF should be due tomorrow. I had a couple of cramp twinges tonight so suspect it's on the way. I have got some tests being delivered tomorrow so I'll do one if AF hasn't come by the time they arrive. Highly unlikey to be positive though as first month after MC so don't really know exactly when due on until it happens! x

CurlyWurly1991 · 01/09/2023 09:06

@BB2023 best of luck on those tests tomorrow.
@VixFromThe6ix what a torture to see the line and not be sure where you stand. I’m hoping that you will get that bfp if not this cycle then next.
@Optimist1981 love your name! Reminds me that we have to be positive.
@H0pefull another late bfp-er here. Didn’t test positive until after 18dpo with my daughter. That test was only positive after the time frame. Apparently it’s more common than online TTC forums would have you believe - I think arojnd 3% of women still test negative at 18dpo so some must be much later. I posted some stats upthread that might be of interest.
16dpo here, no period, still bfns. Stoped temping because it frays my nerves.

H0pefull · 01/09/2023 09:13

Thanks @CurlyWurly1991 thats really interesting and reassuring to know!
AF due on Sunday so we will wait and see what happens.
fingers crossed for you 🤞🏻☺️

VixFromThe6ix · 01/09/2023 12:38

8dpo no line today. Yesterday I had lower back pain, a headache, sore boobs and slight cramping. I just can't understand my body. I give up, lol. 🙌
Waiting for my period to come so I can use it as a new start. And have some wine while I'm at it lol

Still early lovely - don't give up hope just yet. So frustrating pregnancy symptoms and AF symptoms are the same! Xx

Optimist1981 · 01/09/2023 13:54

@VixFromThe6ix so sorry to hear that. I've never had an 'ambiguous' line but sure I'd lose my sh*t if I did!! You must be going through so many emotions. Be good to yourself this weekend x
@CurlyWurly1991🤞 for you
@BB2023 @MrsBP15 I agree, when being hyper focused on ttc, you can imagine, feel and bring on all sorts of symptoms. I try not to read into anything and rely on tests and period to tell me what is happening. Anything else just gets your hopes up which is not always the best thing in a long game like ours!!!

worldwidetravel2017 · 01/09/2023 14:09

13 ish days post ovulation here

Waiting to see if period is here by end of weekend

CaffeineAndCrochet · 01/09/2023 14:58

Slight temp rise this morning which means we may have missed our chance to try this month. But then again, neither of us have been in the mood the last few days. Maybe the occasional month off is no harm, I don't know.

H0pefull · 01/09/2023 15:02

Fingers crossed for you @worldwidetravel2017 !! Xx

@Optimist1981 I'm the same, the only symptoms I really get are sore boobs a couple of days after OV but in terms of AF symptoms I try not to read into much. I've tried previously to track CM but I have no idea what I'm doing and it seems different every other day 🤣🤣🤣

RoseH36 · 01/09/2023 16:07

Hello! I will go back and catch up later on what I've missed as I'm really behind BUT has anyone else noticed you can't get FRER tests on Amazon anymore?? I've had to order the pack that contains 1 of those, a digital one and standard test.

H0pefull · 01/09/2023 17:05

@RoseH36 yes I’ve noticed this. I find they intermittently come and go in stock on Amazon. I was able to order some 3 weeks ago, but when looking today I was the same and could only find the pack of 3 with the digital x

VixFromThe6ix · 01/09/2023 17:41

One out of three tests today showed a line after the allotted time frame. You know, I'm just doing it to myself at this point. WFH gives me the luxury of direct access to the tests all day long 🤣🤣🤣

Is there professional treatment for us POAS addicts?

Fingers crossed for you @worldwidetravel2017

VixFromThe6ix · 01/09/2023 17:46

@CaffeineAndCrochet time off from all the tracking and testing is always healthy in my opinion. It gets too much sometimes. With little toddler eating up all our sleep and energy we are now seldom in the mood because we are just so tired. Hopefully next cycle you get the timing and the desire to DTD aligned 🤞🏻

RoseH36 · 01/09/2023 17:59

@H0pefull it's so strange. Will have to keep an eye out if anymore come up.

@VixFromThe6ix I did see the article that was posted recently about lines coming up after the allotted time frame. Interesting read

VixFromThe6ix · 01/09/2023 18:09

@RoseH36 did it say it's a good thing or to "stop testing your every pee and then digging through the garbage can an hour later, you psycho?" 😅

OP posts:
Eirlys1986 · 01/09/2023 18:26

@VixFromThe6ix 😂, don’t worry, I keep pootling off looking at the various negative sticks I’ve got secreted in cupboards hoping they will somehow have magically turned positive. It’s a sickness 😂
