@MrsBP15 thank you. The tablets were £25 for a month supply on Boots and were 3 for 2 so I got 2 packs and got hubby a pack. The sachets were £50! That's what I couldn't justify. Although they are double the quantity of vitamins etc than the tablets have but both were higher doses than Pregnacare which I'd been on the previous cycle and that had still cost me £24.

Good luck with your appointment. They should be suggesting everything you need given how long you've been trying so don't over think it. Just tell them you'd like to be referred for further tests.

Pineappleapple · 25/08/2023 08:57

Also agree with procieve tasting like carrot juice! Just what you want! Also I had to Google why my pee was neon! Normal apparently 😂
I will do a couple of months on the sachets then may switch to some tablets, we'll see.
Got a flashing smiley on clear blue 6 days ago, still flashing so think maybe I got an abnormally low reading so it started flashing too early. It's making sure we keep up with DTD though and will just keep going as peak will be sometime soon - I imagine! A week earlier than usual but stopped breastfeeding which may change things.

ChildrenOfTheQuorn · 25/08/2023 09:27

I'm so loathe to stop breastfeeding. My DC had teething pain last night and the only thing that calmed her down was a feed. I really don't want to be forced into a corner on that issue yet 😭

H0pefull · 25/08/2023 16:10

Hi everyone, hope you’re all ok 😊

is 5DPO to soon to be feeling any kind of anything?😂 the bottom of my stomach today has just felt really heavy and almost like there’s a tugging sensation at the bottom of it..so hard to explain.

never had this before but equally could just be imagining it and driving myself mad ☺️

VixFromThe6ix · 25/08/2023 17:19

@H0pefull symptom spotting makes me feel every symptom imaginable lol. some women are so in tune with their bodies that maybe you're actually feeling something that's going to result in a BFP!! Fingers crossed for you 🤞🏻

My toddler stopped on his own but I did feel very sad about it. I loved BFing. When we started I was still BFing and the thought of stopping made me so uncomfortable. I read enough that some breastfeeding is while while TTCing especially if your period has come back. Is there a reason you think you need to stop?

Some breastfeeding is fine**

(Why can't we edit our messages lol )

I agree with @VixFromThe6ix my little boy is almost 2 and we still BF 2-4 times per 24 hours and I appear to have a regular cycle despite this. Consultant also reassured me absolutely no evidence that miscarriage is associated with BF as I was worried about this when we lost our recent pregnancy

Eirlys1986 · 25/08/2023 17:30

@ChildrenOfTheQuorn only caveat I would add is there is evidence BF can shorten luteal phase and depending on how early you ovulate and how long you’ve been trying it could be impacting conceiving that way but plenty of people get pregnant despite BF and it would be so sad to stop before you both want to and it not to make any difference to TTC

Pineappleapple · 26/08/2023 22:09

@ChildrenOfTheQuorn we were stopping breastfeeding anyway, but I have read it shouldn't affect fertility as long as periods have returned. It is a special thing.
We weren't accepted for fertility tests because of breastfeeding however, but we were down to one feed a day and it was probably time to be honest, but I did cry a lot.

Hi ladies, I think I’m out for this month. Feeling really upset today and on the verge of tears the whole day. I’m at work and I just want to go home and hide under blankets and cry… hope everyone else is having a better day than me and wishing everyone who’s still waiting all the luck and baby dust!

Eirlys1986 · 28/08/2023 13:01

@El1988 😞 sorry to hear you’re feeling so sad. What’s making you feel certain you are out? It’s a horrible build up then awful disappointment whenever it isn’t the month xxx

VixFromThe6ix · 28/08/2023 15:11

@El1988 sorry to hear you're feeling down today. I have those days too and I find that a good cry helps so much. I also find that having some good chocolate somehow makes me feel better. Hope you feel better soon.

I am 4dpo today. Is it too early to test??? Haha, kidding ... But seriously why does the TTW absolutely drag on??

I had my bday on Saturday and somehow I didn't cry for turning 40. I'm proud of myself 💪😎

El1988 · 28/08/2023 15:45

Hi @Eirlys1986

thank you for the sympathy… I took a test on Sunday and it was negative (would have been 10 or 11 dpo - and I think I feel myself starting to cramp in advance of AF, so I figure it will come any day now… my cycles are a little off since the mmc…

@VixFromThe6ix oh I plan on having a cry in bed with chocolate and bad tv later. The only thing keeping me going 🙈

and I know the feeling with the 4dpo - it feels like it should be at least 8dpo at that stage!

Ivebeenthinkingtoomuch · 28/08/2023 16:58

@VixFromThe6ix I’m also 4dpo today. The tww really drags doesn’t it?
Any symptoms yet?
I’ve had twinges here and there but trying to not read too much into it 😂

VixFromThe6ix · 28/08/2023 17:08

@El1988 glad that you have a plan to help you cope. My guilty pleasure has been Love Island. They make episodes every day so if I miss a few days, I have a couple hours of trash tv haha somehow it makes it better. And when your cycle starts again, treat it as a new beginning. This may not be your cycle, but maybe next one is. This whole process is so stressful but it's like you have to be unrealistically optimistic or else it starts to not just affect you but those around you. Enjoy your evening of self care and I'm sending you tons of positivity and baby dust for your next cycle

@Ivebeenthinkingtoomuch hey cycle twin!! It really should be 8dpo so I can just pee on the stick and go about my day haha but I feel nothing. Nothing at all. I think I had no early symptoms with my son either. This is our first IUI cycle so I don't know what to expect. Just hope I don't do too many cycles, it's such an involved and expensive process. My fingers crossed for you and hope your twinges mean something :)

@El1988 Sending a big hug. Hope you're ok, enjoy that chocolate later. Not put until AF appears, but if it does I hope it's over quick and you can get into your next cycle asap. 💖

BB2023 · 28/08/2023 17:49

I'm 9DPO today I think based off clear blue ov tests, although I normally get sore boobs a few days after ov and I've not had that this cycle, I've not been feeling anything really to be honest.
Been very irritable today which usually means AF is on it's way. First cycle after MC so wasn't expecting anything and in some ways it's been nice not thinking about the TWW much x

MrsBP15 · 28/08/2023 18:18

Sending you a hug @El1988 i was in the exact same place when spotting came last week and then period a few days later. In a way, it feels a bit better when my period actually comes because I can start planning the next cycle! All that being said, I had one of the heaviest periods of my life this weekend, so intense! I’m on Day 4 of this cycle and have a blood test for tomorrow and have day 21 test booked too. Had a really good appointment with my GP on Friday and she reassured me I was doing all the right things and she weighed me and turns out I’ve lost 9lbs in the last 8 months! She asked if I tried, I was like “er hell no!” 😂 to be fair, we’ve adjusted our diet and I’m doing lots of yoga so must be doing the trick. Would like to loose another half stone or so at least to get my bmi down so I’ll just keep doing what I’m doing. Thinking of buying proceive for this cycle but might just go for the tablets to start with. Going to do SMEP again (or Boy meets Egg as my husband calls it, play on Boy meets World 🌎 lol) and pre-seed lube. Going to use CB ovulation sticks much earlier too x

VixFromThe6ix · 28/08/2023 19:20

I'm happy to see you're keeping a positive outlook. ❤️ first cycle after MC can't be easy, mentally. When do you think you're going to test?? Are you waiting till your period is due? I would have tested at 6dpo 😅 but I'm just impatient.....

💖 I'd expect AF to start on Friday, I don't have any tests so won't be testing until at least the weekend if AF hasn't shown up. As I say, no expectations this month which has taken the pressure off and zero symptoms so I'm not feeling any urge to test xx

worldwidetravel2017 · 29/08/2023 10:45

10 days post ovulation here

Had some nausea and sensitive boobs

Also been quite warm

Who knows though

No period due cramps

CurlyWurly1991 · 29/08/2023 11:38

Hi
Just checking in, been busy here. 13dpo and a BFN frer yesterday, although don’t really trust early tests since I didn’t get a BFP until 18dpo with my first (confirmed through temping etc). Has been an unusual cycle but still finding my ‘baseline’ after starting Vitex for irregular cycles.
hope everyone has a great week.

BB2023 · 29/08/2023 12:57

@worldwidetravel2017 @CurlyWurly1991 Sending lots of BFP vibes to you both x
