Heading for cycle 9, I'm out this month but hoping for a bright month ahead.

Pineappleapple · 22/08/2023 17:44

@MrsBP15 I have reacted ok some cycles and felt pretty down others. Last period arrived and I was ok, one before I was pretty upset I think. Or may have been other way round. Hope you feel better for a good cry

MrsBP15 · 22/08/2023 14:23

thank you @BB2023 having said I haven’t reacted in the same way as before I have just completely broken down and bawled my eyes out. Feeling so alone and confused, even though I know we haven’t been trying for that long it feels like forever. I know it will pass and I’ll feel better in a few days but for now just feel so shit.

Fingers crossed for you that you get your BFP or your cycles start to settle asap ✨

Think we can all empathise with you lovely. Some cycles are harder thank others for sure. Lots of love x

Eirlys1986 · 22/08/2023 22:27

@H0pefull I got my peak OPK last night so am likely similar timings to you entering 2ww, it was a bit earlier than expected which I am glad about as I often ovulate a bit later around day 16-17 and worry my body doesn’t have enough time for implantation so we shall see what happens this month

MrsBP15 · 22/08/2023 22:48

@BB2023 @Pineappleapple Thank you so much for being so sweet, it means so much to me to be able to be honest on here and know that people are going to be supportive.

I know I’m lucky in many ways and am ready to go again next cycle. Feels good to take a day or two to feel a bit sad though.

VixFromThe6ix · 23/08/2023 01:41

Hi ladies!!
I had my first iui session today. I don't know what to call it haha ...session? Cycle? They injected me with my hubby's swimmers. They said I had two mature follicles, so here's hoping one released an egg. Tomorrow should be OV and then my TWW begins.
I have to say.... This process is very involved. I work from home but I can't imagine if I was working at the office that this wouldn't raise questions. Since Saturday I've been at the hospital now three times and I had no choice on when I was asked to come in!! And my hubby was there once (today).
I'm turning 40 on Saturday so fingers crossed I got my birthday present!! Lol
I asked th nurse and she said a glass of wine is ok at my bday dinner. This is going to be the first dinner just two of us since our son's birth. I'm excited to actually dress up 😊 I'll try not to think about what might or might not be happening in my uterus.

Sorry I'm blabbing on... Putting my toddler to sleep and typing so hoping it all makes sense lol

Looks like there are a few with a similar TWW time. Crossing my fingers for you ladies

Sending lots of positive vibes to you @VixFromThe6ix - hoping this is your month 💖💖💖💖

Eirlys1986 · 23/08/2023 08:00

@VixFromThe6ix exciting! Fingers crossed for you and hope you have a fantastic 40th! Xx

RoseH36 · 23/08/2023 08:13

@VixFromThe6ix Happy 40th for Saturday. It's my birthday Friday so here's to a great weekend for us both 🥳

Hello to all the newbies. I've been catching up, took some time away for a bit.

Back in the TWW. This is my first cycle taking proceive so will see if that's made any difference. Spoken to my GP surgery and I'm all good to go on getting progesterone as soon as I get a BFP, they will fast track it for me so it won't take so long for the pharmacy to get the prescription. Trying not to pin too much hope on it helping but after seeing so many success stories it's hard not to. With this in mind I'm not going to just wait and see if AF turns up and will test early so if I am pregnant I'm not wasting precious time to get the prescription.

Anyone else have days though where they are fed up of being in limbo? I just feel like I can't plan things too far in advance "just in case". It doesn't help that I had bad SPD from 4 months first time round so was signed off work really early. Thankfully now I work from home that won't be an issue but I was immobile so often that I feel I can't forward plan anything and it gets me down.

Eirlys1986 · 23/08/2023 09:44

@RoseH36 happy birthday for Friday! 🎉. I deffo get the limbo thing, anytime we book anything- holiday, family meet up, meal etc I’m thinking where within a cycle I’ll be or how many weeks preggo I would be if this cycle was a success. It’s bananas. My OH does it too now which is nice that he’s vaguely as preoccupied with it as me 😂

xxcxdonxx · 23/08/2023 10:38

@VixFromThe6ix huge happy birthday for Saturday, hope you enjoy your meal
out 🥰

@RoseH36 it’s my birthday on Friday too, have a great one! 🥳

I got some lovely news last weekend with a bfp. I am nervous but just taking it day by day at the moment. I got a really strong positive test this morning, I know i can’t read too much into it but taking it as a win for today 💜

El1988 · 23/08/2023 10:58

@VixFromThe6ix happy birthday for Saturday and fingers crossed for you! Hoping that you get your birthday present!

@RoseH36 i know the limbo feeling oh so well - like “oh can’t plan that holiday because might be pregnant” “can’t do this or that or plan anything at all really in case I actually finally manage to get pregnant!” - I feel like it’s this constant low (or not so low 🙈) level stress in your life. It’s exhausting. Finger crossed for you as well that this is the month!

@MrsBP15 hope you’re feeling better, I know the feeling as well.

Im either 12 DPO or 7DPO depending on which random dip in my bbt was the ovulation temp drop, so it’s a fun head game atm where I’m like “are these pre-period cramps or are they implantation cramping or is it just that the pasta I had last night wasn’t good and my tummy is upset?” It’s really really messing with my head. 😖

ChildrenOfTheQuorn · 23/08/2023 11:13

This is my first cycle with proceive too and I am not a fan! Yuck 🤢 Meant to be orange flavour but reminds me more of carrot juice.

VixFromThe6ix · 23/08/2023 12:07

@BB2023 thank you so much!!

@Eirlys1986 thank you! I wish for once it would just work the first time around haha

@RoseH36 happy birthday to you!!! Hope proceive works for you 🤞🏻 and I agree about being in limbo. It's a terrible feeling. I feel like my life revolves around TTC

@xxcxdonxx congratulations!!!! What a nice early birthday present :)

@El1988 thank you!!! Oh I know that feeling..is it implantation or is it cramps?? Crossing my fingers it's good news for you!!

Mrsspoon3 · 23/08/2023 16:23

Hey, hope everyone’s doing ok. Have been reading messages and keeping my fingers crossed for everyone’s bfps!

Haven’t posted for a bit as I’m just feeling a bit frustrated with ttc. It’s not so much the not being pregnant yet as this is only our 4th cycle, but I’m finding it really frustrated that we’ve still not been able to give it a good try yet! I feel like every month my toddlers sleep is really bad around the time I’m ovulating so we don’t manage to try, or we do manage to and then I don’t ovulate and ovulate later in the month so it’s all wasted!

Ive ran out of money for digital OPKs now so been using cheapies, but getting so confused. Up until yesterday my lines were very, very faint, then I did a test yesterday which looked almost positive a couple of minutes after I did it, then potentially positive 17 minutes later (have attached photos) but I don’t know if that result should be so carded as it was looked at 20 mins after doing test!

I did a test later that evening and it was super pale, and did one just now and again it’s a lot paler (photo attached).

For those who know about these things, do you think …

  1. The test yesterday counts as my positive
  2. I likely missed the peak and it happened some time before or after the darker test yesterday
  3. I just geared up to ovulate but it didn’t actually happen, so my tests got to almost peak but then faded again as I didn’t ovulate?

Any thoughts would be very much appreciated 😊

@Mrsspoon3 argh I feel your pain! Timing dtd is a nightmare around ov. Mine is so variable (cd11-18 so far I’ve been temping). Ideal world we would all be having sex every other day throughout the cycle but life does get in the way!
have you tried using premom? The app takes pictures of the OPKs and calculates relative concentration of the test line against the control. I don’t think it’s very accurate but it can help to spot rising and lowering LH levels. It saves them all as photos which takes some
of the guesswork out of it.

Im on 7dpo and feeling absolutely shattered. Have loads of social stuff on in the coming week. Must remind myself to try and plan stuff around better next time, at this time every cycle I just want to curl into a ball and sleep until AF or - better - a bfp greets me!

El1988 · 23/08/2023 20:41

@CurlyWurly1991 7DPO as well, I think 🙈

also with loads planned for the next week, why do we do this to ourselves? 🙈😅

El1988 · 24/08/2023 07:39

Update - I tested this morning, way too early (I was going to try to hold out until Saturday or Sunday) and I don’t know am I hallucinating or is there an incredibly faint second line - more than likely hallucinating though, to be fair… I’m just seeing what I want to see in the little window 🙈 also I have zero sore boobs, which I had very badly the whole time before the mmc…

RoseH36 · 24/08/2023 08:05

@Eirlys1986 @VixFromThe6ix thank you 😊

@xxcxdonxx Birthday twins! Happy Birthday to you too and huge congratulations. Got everything crossed for you

@El1988 Hate the symptoms spotting and second guessing everything. As much as you try not to it's impossible

@ChildrenOfTheQuorn yuk! I've been taking the tablets instead. Figured I'm only 2 years over the suggested max age for them lol

@Mrsspoon3 I hate trying to use my own judgement on those things, I used them last month alongside Clearblue but this time round only used Clearblue as I couldn't get on with them

MrsBP15 · 24/08/2023 10:08

@VixFromThe6ix fingers and toes crossed for you and happy birthday for when it comes!

@xxcxdonxx Huge congratulations to you! So exciting, I bet you are over the moon!

@El1988 Did you mean to attach a pic? I can't see anything? Fingers crossed the line continues to develop...

@ChildrenOfTheQuorn I've not tried procieve but I think I'll try it next cycle and for my husband too. I'll probably go for the tablets though as I'm really bad at drinking bad tasting medicines. @RoseH36 is there a recommended age for procieve then? (and Happy Birthday x)

@Mrsspoon3 I'd say that looks like a positive OPK. I would recommend the Premom app as you can see the line progression if nothing else.

I'm after some advice as I've got an appointment to see my GP tomorrow.

I'm going to ask her about blood tests and pelvic scan and also about IVF postcode lottery in my area and if I would even qualify (which I imagine I don't). I just wondered if you can think of anything else I should be asking about at this stage?

Been trying for about 6 months, just turned 37, getting positive ovulation test and have spotting before period (poss low progesterone?) have suspected/possible endo and (I haven't said this on here yet) I have actually been pregnant before in my very late teens/early 20s.

I'm going to write down questions so I don't forget anything but like I say, I wonder if there is anything I should be asking about? Want to make the most of the time!!

Thanks all so much for your continued support. You're the best!!x

ChildrenOfTheQuorn · 24/08/2023 12:20

@MrsBP15 I think the drink is specifically catered for 35+, whereas the tablets for under 35. Of course the drink is more expensive for us oldies 😐

El1988 · 24/08/2023 12:47

@MrsBP15 nah, I didn’t bother attaching a photo cos I was literally squinting at it to see if I could see anything so the camera wouldn’t manage to see anything 🙈😅

Also for the proceive max for 35 plus, it’s pricy, I’ve taken it and I quite liked the taste, but it’s more of a hassle to shake it up with water in a protein shaker or whatever. I don’t think it made much of a difference though? I’m taking pregnacare now, and extra folate, vitamin d, omega 3s, 200mg coq10 and vitamin d3 because that was a bit low on a blood test, and my gynaecologist recommended it. It’s very hard to know what the best vitamins are 🤷🏻‍♀️

MrsBP15 · 24/08/2023 12:57

@ChildrenOfTheQuorn Of course they are! Sigh! If I do take them I'd like my husband to take them too but can only see sachets for women?

@El1988 Oh well fingers crossed you have squint less and less as time goes by! I take folic acid, Zinc, Vit D, Vit C and B12. I was thinking about adding Omega 3 as it's meant to be good for endo anyway. I've seen that Proceive max is pricey but I'm happy to give it a go, it would just be whether to stop taking the other ones as well? I might ask my doctor tomorrow though I think they tend to just really advise folic acid.

El1988 · 24/08/2023 18:40

@MrsBP15 there are defo proceive tablets for men, cos my husband is on them, and I think there are the max sachets too, just fyi!

MrsBP15 · 24/08/2023 18:47

Thanks @El1988 i’ll check it out!

Anyone got anything they think I should be asking my gp about?
