4DPO yet again, are you with me?

Today's 4DPO. This is second TWW after a miscarriage and that was the first time I was pregnant :(

First TWW after the miscarriage was very hard and very emotional for me, i was symptom spotting every little thing. This time around I feel calmer but its still 4DPO and my brain knows its too early for HcG to be there but not sure how I will be from 10DPO onwards.

Who else here is going through the TWW and how are you coping?

11dpo and BFN, been testing since 8dpo and it’s so disheartening.

pretty sure this means I’m out, does anyone know of anyone who got a bfn’s at 11dpo and went on to get a positive?

i had a bfp at night on 12dpo. it was stark white in the morning of 12dpo. i didnt even have any symptoms. as long as af hasnt arrived, youre not out!

@Laylattc also are you using these special early testing ones? Can be just hormones haven't built up
Last time at 12dpo i had a shadow only, by evening digital positive and then symptoms only day after

bookworm100 · 07/07/2023 13:02

Can I please join? 4DPO here and have been convinced of symptoms since 1DPO Grin

TT82 · 07/07/2023 13:35

@bookworm100 welcome! ☺️
That's this horrible progesterone! It raises after ovulation and every month I think that's it 😆
From the other hand, it is good it is up!

Fingers crossed 🤞🏻

bookworm100 · 07/07/2023 13:43

Thanks @TT82 - haha I know, it drives you crazy! Fingers crossed for us all. Looking forward to following the thread! Flowers

bunnynbear · 07/07/2023 14:51

@bookworm100 welcome! Im also 4dpo! Itching tor the tww to be past 10dpo. How you finding it?

OP posts:
bookworm100 · 07/07/2023 20:40

@bunnynbear same! I know they say you absolutely 100% can't have any symptoms at this stage but I have such an achey lower back, almost like I get at ovulation again but I know I've ovulated as I track my temperature etc. Gargh, full on TWW insanity here already. Think I'll probably end up testing at 7 or 8 DPO tbh, are you holding on for 10?

bunnynbear · 07/07/2023 22:38

@bookworm100 I'm gonna try and hold out to 12dpo but I may cave at 10dpo! I ovulated late this cycle and I think it messed with the luteal phase so I'm a bit worried about that.

OP posts:
bookworm100 · 08/07/2023 08:09

@bunnynbear - you have more willpower than I! What do you mean you think it's messed with your LP? I'm pretty clued up on all this cycles/tracking and ovulating later shouldn't have any impact on the length/quality of your LP? Flowers

Giles1008 · 08/07/2023 08:22

AF arrived today, two days early which probably means I was out with ovulation and probably never had a chances 😂😭.

All that waiting and there was probably no swimmers anyway - urgh. A busy month anyway that’s me having a break for 3-4 months - wishing you all well with your journey

bunnynbear · 08/07/2023 08:24

@bookworm100 i think it's more that I'm holding out cos I don't want to disappointed! How long have you been ttc? This is my third cycle since my miscarriage.

my cycles have always been about 32 days and ovulating on cd15/16 but this time it was cd20. Both flo and Premom now has this cycle as 35 days long but I've never had such a long cycle so not sure if the LT will still be 16/17 days like it usually is or shorter (and still have a 32day cycle). I miscarried in April so since then my cycles have been a bit off.

@bunnynbear - so sorry for your loss Flowers

Your LP is fairly fixed, so however long it normally is is how long it will be. Ovulation is the only moveable part of your cycle, and all the dates are affected by that. So if you ovulated later than normal, your LP starts later than normal but will be the same length. So your cycle will be a longer one overall this month but it won't harm your chances.

I really highly recommend the book Taking Charge of Your Fertility for properly understanding your cycles and how it all works. I've been charting using the book for five years now, first using fertility awareness to avoid pregnancy and now TTC.

Waiting until 10DPO definitely sounds like a good idea. I'm afraid I'm a POAS addict which is outlet down to poor self control!

bookworm100 · 08/07/2023 09:03

*purely!

TT82 · 08/07/2023 09:36

@Giles1008 lots of hugs and see you back ❤️ (I think I will be still here with my ivf journey)

bunnynbear · 08/07/2023 10:10

@Giles1008 sorry to hear that. Still have 🤞🏼 for you the next time you ttc.

bunnynbear · 08/07/2023 12:24

@bookworm100 thank you for the reassurance! I thought if my cycle was longer than it may cause problems. Now have to just wait and see what happens end of next week!

Hi everyone, how are you all?
I am 7dpo and have this urge to test 🤦🏻‍♀️ I don't think I even implanted if I was lucky...as didn't have implantation pain or spotting or anything 😩
And that's me who decides this time I don't test at all! 😅

bunnynbear · 10/07/2023 10:46

@TT82 I'm 7dpo as well and feel no symptom, sign, hint or tingling of pregnancy at all! I know its too early anyway. if there's no symptoms or anything by Thursday (10dpo), I think I may wait to test until sat (12dpo) just to avoid disappointment. when will you test? how you been feeling?

OP posts:
TT82 · 10/07/2023 10:56

@bunnynbear I am the same! No symptoms, apart from high dose progesterone I am taking (bigger but soft boobs, sleepiness..but not like when pregnant). I know I will have negative but feel like I need to see it , to stop thinking about it 😅

Definitely won't last till 12dpo, will try till 10!
My DH says we could finance another round of ivf with the cost of all my testing 🙈 men cannot understand it 😆

bunnynbear · 10/07/2023 11:16

@TT82 i find testing to be addictive. once I start, I keep wanting to check just in case it could change!

IVF can be expensive too right? how long have you been ttc? I'm coming up to 7 months now and I have blood tests due (has to be done when af comes) and a scan booked to check everything is ok but this is all subject to another BFN.

@bunnynbear I am ttc for over a year, had 4 cp... It is age related- I am 41, all tests good, DH too, egg reserve and hormones also good, but that is all quantity.. It is a quality issue. We decided to do ivf with genetic testing, which adds to the cost. But I cannot go through lots of more cp to find a good egg/embryo if not to test.
We have moved to Switzerland and here ivf not covered at all, so yeah not cheap. I have 2 kids but as we always wanted 3 and delayed for various reasons, we are now upset and like trying to get on the last train. I also cannot have multiples as have this strange heart shape uterus and both were premature.. So they will be transferring only one at a time, which decreases chances even more.

If you are younger than 38 then yes do tests, try etc. But then I would at least freeze the eggs...while you are still younger and more of them are good. I actually didn't know fully this problem, thought if my hormones good, I am healthy tgen eggs are good too.... Nope! Nature does its job 😕

@Lemonbell so sorry for your losses, it is tough 😔, especially to understand it is age when we don't feel it
🤞🏻 it will still happen to us! ❤️
