4DPO yet again, are you with me?

Today's 4DPO. This is second TWW after a miscarriage and that was the first time I was pregnant :(

First TWW after the miscarriage was very hard and very emotional for me, i was symptom spotting every little thing. This time around I feel calmer but its still 4DPO and my brain knows its too early for HcG to be there but not sure how I will be from 10DPO onwards.

Who else here is going through the TWW and how are you coping?

@TT82 it wont be until October although I’m thinking I may book a private scan before in the hope it will reassure me.

my first midwife appointment is booked in for the end of September.

@ManchesterRoad fully understand! I also was doing 6+w scan privately...,too long to wait for 12w. Take good care of yourself xx

Quick update from my side: all 4 embryos came back abnormal, so no transfer for me. In mid-November will start 2 egg collection and then will see what's next..

@ManchesterRoad thank you! Was really done after receiving the results, but now better. Funny after all these supplements etc I feel super young, very even predictable cycle, lots of energy etc. ☺️

I am ok thank you, had a private scan last week and all was good. I have my NHS 12 week scan next week so keeping everything crossed 🤞🏻

Thought I’d give an update on what’s been happening with me.

I know I’ve been radio silent since my ectopic. It was much a harder miscarriage second time round. I tried to go work within a month and found September very hard so cut back a lot in October. Me and DH also decided to have a holiday just to get away and reset as it’s been a difficult year with the two miscarriages.

We’ve still been trying to conceive but the second miscarriage has really messed up my body. This month my body had problems ovulating, three times I had high/peaks with the final and highest being on cd24 (4-6 days later than usual) which meant my cycle this time would’ve been 39 days instead of 32. I read late ovulation (after cd21) increases risks and less likely for conception. So I wrote this month off and we went on holiday during the tww with no expectations.

However at 12dpo I got a shadow of a shadow that only I could see on an easy@home test. It’s been scary as I keep thinking it’s a chemical. In the past, it was darker at 12dpo when I’ve tested positives and I’ve had some symptoms. This time nothing, no symptoms. I had FRER with me and I’ve added the pictures. The lines have gotten darker on FRER but not as much on easy@home. I can help but always have this worry it’ll be a chemical or ectopic. I should be excited but I’m very scared. We’re back in the uk on Friday and planning to go for a scan next week. I have to given my previous ectopic pregnancy. I’ll keep you all posted.

From my side update- In the mid of my second IVF cycle. Got hives first 3 weeks now from norethisteron pills, cannot sleep at night, so not sure I will go through a third cycle (even if they recommend at my age)..
But lets see, maybe we will get one euploid embryo xx

@TT82 been thinking and wishing to hear good news from you! I’m sorry to hear about the hives. Can the second ivf still be successful? I’m praying you get some good news soon 🙏🏼

yeah we’re planning on going next week but I’m very scared. I’m still affected from the internal scans from the last pregnancy so this one is daunting. Still no symptoms but my DH tells me my breathe smells metallic and he can smell something.

@bunnynbear just remember every cycle and pregnancy is different! Worry only about what you can control, and here you cannot, so try just not think and take it day by day xx

Yes, every ivf cycle is different, even if two don't produce chromosomally normal embryos, doesn't mean that third wont..just low chance for each cycle at my age. It is more financial question and now physically to go through it again

@TT82 i am doing ok thank you. 20 week scan next week, just feel like I can’t relax into my pregnancy still yet. Hopefully in the new year it will start to feel more real!

@TT82 yes you’re right! I’m trying to stay positive but every twitch or pain I think it’s af and I need to change that mentality. When will you know if this ivf cycle has worked? Please keep us updated.

@ManchesterRoad thank you, yes I keep thinking I’m lying by saying I’m pregnant as I may miscarry, it is taking time to get used to.

how are your symptoms? 20 weeks scans a big milestone, 🤞🏼it all goes well: are you going to find out the gender? I’m happy to hear its going well for you 😊

@bunnynbear I will! On Friday they will tell me when is egg collection surgery, then a week to find out if any of 5d embryos we got and if lucky and yes, then like another 4 weeks of genetic testing.. so not any soon

So not a great update. We returned yesterday and I tested in the morning only for the line to be fainter. We went straight to the hospital who told me their poas test has come back negative so they wouldn’t scan. My tests are still coming back with a line but I guess I’ll be miscarrying soon. No sign of af but I’m assuming in the next few days I’ll be experiencing my third miscarriage. I have no words to describe this.

Back from my egg collection surgery 😮‍💨 17 collected this time! But many immature so now to wait a week for final results. They don't update here only after all done 😒
They told me they want to do antibodies tests and endometrium biopsy and something else as too many mc I had and can be more problems, not just egg quality.. Fact I had pregnancies doesn't mean I cannot develop them

@TT82 i started to bleed on sunday so its been painful and exhausting. after the second miscarriage i had asked to be referred to the recurrent miscarriage unit but 2 chasers, 3 months later and another miscarriage and still no appointment. both myself and my GP have once again chased and hopefully i get an appointment soon. but GP just said "you need to just keep ttc".

17 sounds alot, is that normal? so in a weeks time, what will be the next step? i have my fingers crossed that you get good news next week.

Yeah 17 for my age not so good, my body this time overreacted a bit. But majority will be not good for fertilisation anyway, as immature. If we get any 5-day embryos, they will biopsy them for chromosome testing...then based on results we need to decide what to do next. Meanwhile they will do endometrium biopsy and some antibodies tests on me too, to be sure it is not a reason if mc. So yeah more waiting

@TT82 how are you doing? how was christmas? was thinking of you and praying you got some good news. were the results good?

Nothing new on my side. slight silver lining, i had the intro appt for the recurrent miscarriage unit, ike a triage. will need to do blood test when af arrives (new years day!) but basically been told that it is highly unlikely anything is wrong with me cos i got pregnant so many time in a short space of time and its just bad luck, really really really bad luck. the kicker in all this is that my follow up appt with the recurrent miscarriage unit is end of next year!! that was their first available appointment.
