@Stephy1024 Thank you!! Sorry about your confusing test 😔 I can't imagine the heartache you must've been through and how anxious you must feel thinking about your next pregnancy. But hopefully once you're ready to go again it won't be much of a wait xx

@Pineappleapple Great news about the fertility appointment! I don't talk to anyone except OH either so it's lovely to have such supportive Mumsnet friends ❤️

Frustratedttcno2 · 03/07/2023 21:02

Hi can I join?
I'm 40 and have one dc who is 3. We have been trying since late 2021 for our second. We fell pretty quickly but it ended with a partially ruptured EP so I lost a tube.... I feel like im slowly coming to terms that with that happening and not even a hope of something g since and my age that its just not going to happen for us!!! I put on a brave face but in reality it's all I think about!!!

Congratulations to everyone with their BFP!!

Pineappleapple · 03/07/2023 21:19

Welcome @Frustratedttcno2 that sounds tough. I am not so bad this time but TTC no1 really consumed me. The brave face is so hard isn't it

Muriel84 · 03/07/2023 21:27

@LeopardLover yay glastonbaby!!! What wonderful news 🥰🥰🥰

SnookyPook · 04/07/2023 00:24

Welcome @Frustratedttcno2 ! Sorry to hear of your struggles. It's so hard isn't it and can become so all consuming...

On that note, just cos it's a safe space amongst friends, I've had sore boobs today. Best I can describe it is it's felt sort of like I need to beeastfeed - slightly heavy and tender. Was so determined not to symptom spot but here we are 😂 Also, looking back, I experience similar at the same dpo with my last pregnancy (the one I lost) so... 🤷🏼‍♀️ Time will tell I guess. Another week until AF is due.. gonna be a long one 😂

SnookyPook · 04/07/2023 00:26

Ahaha have made myself laugh with the term 'beastfeed' - actually probably a more appropriate term for toddler feeding! 😂

Eirlys1986 · 04/07/2023 06:55

@SnookyPook haha definitely like feeding a little beast! 👹. Really hope your sore boobs are a good sign and want the week to fly by for you! (Even though we know that now you have entered the valley of torment time will infact slow to the pace of a thousand year old snail 🐌)

Eirlys1986 · 04/07/2023 06:58

Hey @Frustratedttcno2 👋, sorry to hear about your EP and losing a tube, that is really tough and traumatic for you. It’s normal to be so preoccupied with TTC once you decide that’s what you want to do. I really hope things happen for you and we are all here to support, feel free to tell us how you are feeling anytime as hopefully we all really understand a lot of your feelings x

Mrsspoon3 · 04/07/2023 07:31

Just been catching up on everything! Thanks so much for your messages re situation with the husband @DmcinT @SnookyPook @LeopardLover@RoseH36 @Eirlys1986 @Pineappleapple You’re all so lovely!! 💗

We have a counselling appointment in a few weeks. Things on the whole seem to have gone back to normal, in both good and bad ways. We’re getting on ok mostly and I mentioned to him I wasn’t pregnant again (got my period yesterday) and he said “Ah well maybe you will be soon”, so I guess we’re still trying! Had a bit of an argument yesterday though as it’s just so hard doing everything and with the dog etc.
My husband went away for the weekend just gone (again!) with friends to play golf, and I had toddler and dog for whole weekend. Took the toddler to church on Sunday so was out 2-3 hours, and when I came back the dog had pooed all over the floor!! It’s just so stressful. I told my husband I can’t have both again if dog keeps doing that as I find it so hard stuck in the house all the time! Also I asked my husband to do some dishes before he went to bed Sunday night which he promised he would, and when I got up with toddler on Monday they were still there so had to do them all. Was quite annoyed when I’d done everything all weekend too. He just doesn’t get it and how much I’m doing.

Anyway! That was so lovely of you to say @LeopardLover! 😊 I really don’t feel like a superwoman haha, more like I’m just about holding it together, but I don’t really get any acknowledgment from my husband of anything I do so your message realty made me smile 😊 Thank you! Congratulations on your pregnancy!!! 🎉🎉 I’m so happy for you! What great news! How are you feeling?

@Pineappleapple Ah nice to speak to someone else with a high needs little one. It definitely helps being out with them doesn’t it? How old is your little one? We have a lot of stuff and no storage too! Although it helps that my nearly 16 month old is tiny so hasn’t outgrown too much haha. He’s still in some 6-9 month old clothes (mostly 9-12 months) and still sits in his Jumperoo to watch TV while I do jobs haha (he’s 9kg and weigh limit is 11 and he doesn’t bounce in it, just sits like he’s in an armchair 😂). There’s definitely a lot of stuff taking up space though! Glad your fertility appointment has come through too!

Mrsspoon3 · 04/07/2023 07:32

@Eirlys1986 I’m so glad the clinic have offered you a free consultation with a specialist! That’s really good and I hope will be really helpful for you!

@Bumblebee413 Ah I’m so sorry to hear AF arrived! That’s so disappointing. I’m so glad you have your DH coming home to look forward to though! Hope you’re feeling ok.

@RoseH36 Glad to hear you’ve been referred for further investigations! That must be reassuring they’re taking it all seriously and if there’s any cause to be found they’re looking into it. Hope it will be really helpful.

RoseH36 · 04/07/2023 08:13

@Stephy1024 that's totally normal, sadly you may find any joy and excitement has now been cruelly taken away. I didn't feel any happiness at all getting my last bfp. It feels very unfair.

@SnookyPook haha it's impossible not to isn't it? I've been getting my SPD/round ligament pains on and off since last week. They settled down but are back today. That's the only symptom I had the last twice, although both times they then abruptly stopped and soon after was when I had a mc so trying to stay relaxed and not over think every twinge. I don't recall any symptoms at all with my first for several weeks.

@Frustratedttcno2 so sorry to hear what you've been through. Putting on a brave face is incredibly hard.

@Mrsspoon3 I'm glad you have an appointment, hope that helps but sorry to hear things aren't improving at the moment. It must be hard not being able to go out for long because of the dog.

Thank you, I hope there is something causing them in a way as I think to be told I'm fine will be harder as I then can't understand why it keeps happening.

H0pefull · 04/07/2023 10:41

Morning lovelies,

trying very hard not to symptom spot as I don’t usually..but has anybody ever felt a pain like they’ve pulled a muscle in their stomach?

my instinct is telling me this cycle isn’t the one, I feel like my ovulation tests were all over the place with ultimately low levels, but you never know 🤞🏻

SnookyPook · 04/07/2023 11:57

@RoseH36 @H0pefull yes it's soooo hard not to symptom spot. I think tww just puts me on hyper alert. Ultimately the only thing is to wait and see isn't it?! 6dpo....

How's everyone else doing? X

TT82 · 04/07/2023 12:07

@SnookyPook hi, I am at 1po, had a bit later this cycle after cp. Last one before ivf in August.. But on a positive- had a meeting with a dr today, she agreed that after so many cp quality is an issue and we need to be patient to get a good one, she supports genetic testing and back-to-back egg collection not to waste time and have more chance for a good one. She said my AMH 17 is very good for my age and she stays positive 🙏

Angelsrose · 04/07/2023 14:47

Good luck this month @TT82 !
Has anyone used Preseed lubricant? Any good?

SnookyPook · 04/07/2023 14:52

@TT82 that sounds promising! Everything crossed for you 😊💕

@Angelsrose people who've found it good are probably on the pregnancy boards... 🤪😆 On a serious note, not tried it but have heard some people say good things about it. Guess it can't harm?!

TT82 · 04/07/2023 15:13

@SnookyPook , @Angelsrose thank you!!! 🙏

Pineappleapple · 04/07/2023 15:16

@Angelsrose I looked into it, and another one, read that if you normally use no lube it makes no difference, but if you do, you need to use one that is fertility friendly like preseed. Hope that helps

Pineappleapple · 04/07/2023 15:19

@Mrsspoon3 glad you have a counselling appointment, that is a brave step for you both and glad he has agreed.
My lo is 3, so older than yours. The about of stuff has decreased - or just not having massive things like jumperoo/ high chair etc is better. Feel like my lo is high needs. Maybe not, just seems hard to do anything with her around! Wants me sat with her all the time!

Frustratedttcno2 · 04/07/2023 17:38

Thanks everyone.... yeah the EP was really difficult!!! Took us 2 years to concieve our first and that will be 18 months since the EP, so ts dragging now.

I'm on a waiting list to get a scan cause the dr that did my surgery mentioned possible polyps too!! So not sure how they impact anything?

RoseH36 · 04/07/2023 18:21

@SnookyPook definitely on hyper alert, you feel like you're away of every single little thing with your body don't you? I must be a similar dpo as you.

@TT82 that all sounds promising and not long to wait! Sorry to hear you've gone through several CP, they are just awful.

@Frustratedttcno2 that's such a long journey. My in laws took around the same length of time as you with their first, who was 2 last month. They are now expecting their 2nd later this year after another similar length of trying. Fingers crossed for your second soon

VixFromThe6ix · 04/07/2023 18:28

@LeopardLover eeee!!!!! Congratulations!!!!! Beautiful line!!!!! Did you tell your hubby??

Eirlys1986 · 04/07/2023 21:04

@Mrsspoon3 the counselling is a really positive step. From how you describe things at present I think the counselling should really help with you being able to make it very clear the imbalance you are experiencing at present between your responsibilities in the home and his and what you need him to do to rectify it. I’m happy for you that he also seems to have not shut the door on ttc so I do hope that helps you feel more hopeful about the future too xxx
@Frustratedttcno2 it is my understanding that some studies do suggest that endometrial polyps (ones in womb lining) can cause problems with implantation and pregnancy development so if you have any in the womb hopefully having them removed will be helpful. I’m sorry you’ve had it so tough and had to wait so long for first baby and now a long wait again with the trauma of EP also. I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, women have truely the shittiest time and cruel experiences when ttc and birth children to this world and each and every one of us is a complete warrior to continuing to fight for the little ones we know we want regardless of all that’s put in our way. Xx

Angelsrose · 04/07/2023 22:01

@Eirlys1986 wise and comforting words as usual. ❤️

Eirlys1986 · 04/07/2023 23:04

@Angelsrose thanks, I’m glad if anyone finds it comforting as I truely can’t even begin to explain how important everyone on here has been in making me feel less alone over past few weeks.
