I can see lots of TWW threads for end of April but I thought I’d start one for any of us who are 1dpo in early May.

I’m 1dpo today. Fourth cycle of trying for second baby. Ovulation day came a week early for us this week, but we DTD 3 times in the fertile window so I’m hopeful.

I don’t remember getting any early symptoms with my last pregnancy.

I usually test waaaay too much. So get ready to see loads of iffy faint lines -ha!

What about you?

@PollyDarton1 well in that case don’t be disheartened if the tests aren’t getting darker as you can still get a positive 24 hours after thinking they’ll never darken.

Soph2512 · 05/06/2023 06:32

Good Morning Ladies, How's everyone getting on this month?

I haven't been on here for a while, just to try and not get worked up about my window ha. Just coming to the end of it now, I have managed no tests this month which I'm taking as a Achievement,

HavinKittens · 05/06/2023 07:35

Morning!

Nice one Soph, it is an achievement to forget about testing.

I’m 5dpo. It’s not like me to symptom spot but I had some weird pulling feeling in my lower abdomen last night. Bit early for implantation though I think.

@HavinKittens really helpful to see thank you as I'm going to start doing BBT this month. Do you take temp everyday? I'm on CD 2 but yet to purchase but should still have a weeks worth if I buy today!?

Thank you <3 its taken some will power thats for sure.

Its so hard not to symptom watch isnt it. Fingers crossed it could be for you though.

I think my OV is today and I have had a tiny pain in my lower right abdomen so im hoping that it is..

HavinKittens · 05/06/2023 09:11

I try for daily but often miss days. The easy at home app needs six readings before ovulation and three higher readings after ovulation before it will put in the ”cover line” to show there’s been a rise. I got their Bluetooth thermometer cause it’s easier than trying to squint in the dark 😂

Definitely think I'm ovulating now even without the BBT/OPK peak - just crumblings in my lower back and my skin is rubbish! Me and DP have dtd 3 times this week so hopefully something will catch! I've also woken up with a cold - stuffy nose (and runny, somehow!) and weirdly this was the very first symptom I had with DS at 1dpo (I am sure it is nothing connected, but I remember the day after I conceived I had a stuffy nose!) 😂

fleur89 · 05/06/2023 14:19

Hello all!
An update from me following my private appointment at Portland Hospital this morning. Unfortunately I miscarried again, two in two months 😢

Good news is I'm ovulating in 3-4 days based on what they saw on the ultrasound and my lining is thickening up nicely. I've been advised not to try this month as my hormones are still all over the place and throwing off low level hcg.

There's a slight adhesion on my womb lining that will be monitored. It could be a result of the recent miscarriage(s). If I don't fall pregnant in the next few months and/or suffer from light periods then this could require a follow up. Apparently it's very small and the rest of my lining looks fine so the doctor said it shouldn't inhibit my ability to fall pregnant and implant and will likely resolve itself.

Feeling more positive now and hopefully I'll be joining the ttc tribe again in July!

Soph2512 · 05/06/2023 14:26

@fleur89
Thank you for giving us a update, Im soo sorry that, that has happened to you, and I wish you lots of love and healing. 💖

Hey 👋🏼

first time positing but looking for some relatable stories

7dpo - one faint positive kinda tested on wim , really wasn’t expecting anything to come up.

10dpo- 13dpo
I had an array of symptoms from really bad lower back, stitch sensation and cramping. The cramping and the pain was not familiar didn’t feel like AF style cramps. I ended up going to urgent care on 12dpo to get checked out. The pain was radiating from the left when they examined me. They did a pregnancy test was negative.

13dpo - I had for about 2 hours the worst cramps ever, if it didn’t stop think I would have been headed back to hospital. Thankful it didn’t last long. (No bleeding) all in my lower tummy, similar to AF but a lot more painful.

but it was odd it was like the next day all the pain and cramping had stopped my period didn’t arrive and I was in limbo.

as I got a negative test on 12dpo haven’t tested since, just thought I would give it a week or so and maybe I would have a few symptoms.

14dpo - 22dpo

it’s to easy to symptom spot and in all honestly no symptoms are jumping out to me massively in the last week except:

  • some cravings mainly ice cream and I’m not an ice cream lover
  • heart burn since 7dpo
  • boobs are tender on and off
  • funny minty taste in my mouth (but have had this since having covid 3 weeks ago)
  • feeling sick before I get hungry the last 3 days.

now I know I should just test.. but seeing negative tests are really challenging. :( just wanted to see if anyone had anything similar and can relate. Whether it ended in BFP or not.

Coffeebeans95 · 05/06/2023 14:47

So sorry was trying to post on a new thread seemed to have posted on here :( but any comments welcome!

PollyDarton1 · 05/06/2023 15:58

Oh @fleur89 - I'm so sorry about the miscarriage but glad your womb is thickening up and look forward to TTC in July Flowers

DmcinT · 05/06/2023 16:21

@fleur89 I am so so sorry to read this, I really hope ur coping ok and have a good family/friend network for support. Sending so much love and hugs xxx

fleur89 · 05/06/2023 17:07

Thank you so much ladies! I'm a bit worried about the adhesion and there's a chance it's due to infection post-medical management of the MMC in March.

I'm being observed now and thankfully have private medical insurance that covers this kind of thing as tbh the NHS were very dismissive and I had a pretty poor experience that left me with high anxiety.

Wishing everyone luck this cycle and hoping to rejoin once my body settles down. Definitely recommend seeking advice early if something doesn't feel right. Better to be an annoying patient than letting things potentially escalate. 💕

HavinKittens · 05/06/2023 19:12

Fleur I’m so sorry, what an incredibly hard few weeks for you.

you’re so right about seeking advice early and trusting yourself if things feel wrong

will be lovely to have you back when you’re ready to ttc again, or just whenever you want a chat with us xx

Goldie1234 · 05/06/2023 20:57

So sorry @fleur89 I hope once the hormones have settled it will be the right time !!!!

CinderRosie · 06/06/2023 10:13

So sorry @fleur89 , hope to see you back here in July.

How is everyone feeling? I am 5dpo and feeling extra fatigued to normal, I hope I'm not getting yet another cold as only just got over the last one...

HavinKittens · 06/06/2023 11:44

6dpo here
having real mixed feelings about ttc
no symptoms except feeling tired and grumpy but I think that’s just life 😅

OP posts:
CinderRosie · 06/06/2023 12:04

@HavinKittens what kind of mixed feelings, are you thinking of taking a break/stopping?
It's such a rollercoaster, I didn't appreciate before TTC myself just how many emotional changes there are. I flit between being desperate to be pregnant this month, to thinking oh shit what am I doing. I'm exhausted at work today and wonder how on earth I'd cope being pregnant 😳

Soph2512 · 06/06/2023 13:50

@CinderRosie I'm not too sure I think I am 1/2 DPO, I'm feeling very up beat this month, Probably because I havent over thought about things.

Its such a rollercoaster isnt it there are soo many feelings that go with it. I feel like we have been trying for sooo long now.

PollyDarton1 · 06/06/2023 14:06

I'm so confused, temp isn't changing (it's consistently just below 36c) and OPK aren't peaking but not far off. I would say this is the strongest one I've had so far this cycle but it's not positive is it?

Come wait with me - May TWW
PollyDarton1 · 06/06/2023 14:06

(The test line is ever so slightly lighter than the control)

Soph2512 · 06/06/2023 14:32

@PollyDarton1 I would say it isn't positive but I am no expert, I use the clear blue ones so i get a :) or a circle to save any confusion.

Unicorn25 · 06/06/2023 14:44

Those of you who use the easy@home tests. How long do they stay clearly positive for after you've peaked? Had almost 24 hours of positives now. I think with my previous pregnancies I must have just not tested again after my peak 🤷🏼‍♀️

DmcinT · 06/06/2023 15:03

@HavinKittens 6/7 dpo, I’ve had a dull ache around my uterus for the last few days but unsure did I just pull something in the gym or uterus is sensitive after D&C a few months ago, so hard to know. I also just napped for an hr & half (v unlike me but I couldn’t stay awake) I’m just lucky I’m on summer holidays so not in work.
next few days are going to be hard not to test but I don’t think I have any of the same symptoms (except tiredness) that I had the last time so I’m telling myself I’m out 🙈 prob just to soften the blow if af arrives

@PollyDarton1 thats deff getting there, I’d say my next one after similar to that was peak, can happen within an hr or 2 so keep testing x

@Unicorn25 mine stated positive for abt 12 hrs but everyone is different, I’ve read u can have a quick spike (like mine) or a slow long peak. I think the outcome is the same so it’s nothing to worry abt ❤️
