I can see lots of TWW threads for end of April but I thought I’d start one for any of us who are 1dpo in early May.

I’m 1dpo today. Fourth cycle of trying for second baby. Ovulation day came a week early for us this week, but we DTD 3 times in the fertile window so I’m hopeful.

I don’t remember getting any early symptoms with my last pregnancy.

I usually test waaaay too much. So get ready to see loads of iffy faint lines -ha!

What about you?

Yes I would think so @SoItGoesAgain

@SoItGoesAgain yep I'd definitely say you've peaked.

I'm on CD19 and still not ovulated 😅 I tend to have shorter luteral phases so it's not beyond the realms of possibility (plus my OPKs are getting stronger) but I think I'd be interested to speak to the GP about getting something to stimulate ovulation so my cycles aren't so long.

PollyDarton1 · 02/06/2023 11:37

That said I only started taking OPKs around CD15 so possible I've missed it, plus I only take 1-2 a day.

DmcinT · 02/06/2023 16:04

@SoItGoesAgain deff hit ur peak… welcome to TWW there’s a good few of us over the last few days so 🤞🏽 for the next week or so that we get some bfp
I’m just 3 dpo and time is going by so slow, wish I could just forget abt it for a week but easier said than done🙌🏽

@PollyDarton1 I’d say if ur opks are getting darker it’s deff close.. mine started the day before my peak too (before that they were stark white and showing 0 on pre mom) 🤞🏽 For u x

Vic231 · 02/06/2023 17:59

Hi everyone, I'm back! Just about to go into my TWW. According to my app I ovulated yesterday and we managed to DTD every other day for the last week 😅 let's see this month...

DmcinT · 02/06/2023 18:04

@Vic231 welcome to the TWW 🎉

just checking who else is in TWW? Anyone any symptoms yet?

CinderRosie · 02/06/2023 18:38

@DmcinT me 🙋🏻‍♀️ only 1 DPO and zero symptoms. Last month I symptom spotted like crazy and had loads of nausea, cramps, sore boobs but got a BFN so I will try to pay no attention at all to them this month (I say that now lol).

HavinKittens · 02/06/2023 18:59

I’m 2dpo.

this is kinda crazy but I’m suddenly getting cold feet and sort of hoping I don’t get a positive this month

my little boy has been such hard work this week and I just don’t know if I could cope with a baby too

I mentioned taking a break from ttc to my husband and I think he feels the same way

I’ll probs have a bfp now, the irony 🙄

Aw that's so understandable, it's a big life change for everyone in the family! I'm sure you'll make it work though, whatever happens. How old is your little boy?

HavinKittens · 02/06/2023 19:55

He’s 17mo now and just hitting a difficult patch developmentally I think. I was chatting with a friend who tried for a 2 year gap and ended up with 3 years (because of MC) and she said she was glad in the end as at 3 they can do so much more. I’ve been thinking about this since! And my two year old niece is a (delight) and super hard work 😅

I'm trying for a 2 year gap (will now be 2yrs 1mo) so similar to what you would potentially have. My baby girl is 16mo in a few days

Kat4257 · 02/06/2023 19:57

And omg yes she is hard work at the mo 😂

This was me too, every time I felt something I googled it and managed to link it to early pregnancy 🤦🏻‍♀️ 😂 If only we could book a holiday or something for every TWW to keep us distracted 😂

CinderRosie · 02/06/2023 21:16

Can totally relate to the cold feet 😂 I just had dinner with DH and chatting about finances thinking that in a few months we’d have so much more saved up in preparation for a baby… but then there is never a right time. I’ll probably go and get a BFP too 😂

SoItGoesAgain · 02/06/2023 21:30

I'm feeling so hurt and angry tonight. I ovulated yesterday, so realistically today is the last day of my fertile window.
My husband knows this.
I've had a rubbish day in general with some bad news. I work 18 hours on Fridays. 10 at my day job and then an 8 hour night shift. I tried to have a nap but couldn't sleep and said to my husband that at least me getting up early means we don't have to have rushed sex.
He doesn't want to and doesn't understand why I'm upset.
I've come off a lot of medication and have been having horrible side effects to try to conceive and all he has to do is have sex.
I know I'm being unreasonable.
Sorry for the rant.

HavinKittens · 02/06/2023 21:34

@SoItGoesAgain i don’t think you’re being unreasonable at all. I would feel exactly the same. And I’ve been in a similar situation with my dh. Ovulation day, told him so, and he stayed up late and then said he felt too tired.
Felt so angry and upset. Sorry you’ve had a horrid long day xx big hugs

@HavinKittens thank you.

DmcinT · 03/06/2023 08:46

@SoItGoesAgain i deff don’t think ur being unreasonable. I think they don’t fully understand that feeling we have when we literally have a day or 2 to make it happen or it’s another full month again. They deff don’t feel it as we do or how every day/ week feels so long

HavinKittens · 03/06/2023 08:58

Agree with @DmcinT

My BBT finally rose this morning, 3dpo.

OP posts:
DmcinT · 03/06/2023 09:32

@HavinKittens oh that’s great, that confirms ovulation doesn’t it? I haven’t used temping yet but I think I’ll start next month if this cycle doesn’t work out. I really struggle these days now between 1-10 dpo questioning everything and wondering did I even ovulate. I run 5/6 days a week but I’ve stopped since Wednesday incase it interferes with journey or implantation, I know it’s prob silly but at least if af comes I won’t be beating myself up for having run🙈 I’m still doing strength & conditioning gym class 3/4 times a week but don’t find them as intense as my runs.

do ppl generally exercise during TWW or do u rest as much as possible?

HavinKittens · 03/06/2023 09:54

Oh @DmcinT you sound very fit and healthy. It’s hard not to start thinking about how everything might have an effect isn’t it? I think whatever makes you feel better but doesn’t interfere too much with your life is okay, but I guess finding the balance is hard.

I am not an exerciser! Haha I only walk daily. I am overweight and need to lose some. I think if we don’t get lucky this month then I will have a break and work on my health.

OP posts:
Kat4257 · 03/06/2023 10:18

Sorry if very silly question but for measuring BBT, do you just check your temp first thing in the morning? Does it have to be the same time or just whenever you wake up, as sometimes I'm up at 4:30 with my daughter and sometimes she will let me have a lie in till 7 🙃 so would I take it first thing after waking so that it's my "freshly woken up temp" 😂 or make sure it's consistent so 7am every morning?

HavinKittens · 03/06/2023 10:28

Not a silly question, I had to look this up too. You need a thermometer that can go to two decimal points, for example 36.34 rather than just 36.3

I think the most important thing is that you’ve had at least 3-4 hours sleep, and you take your temp as soon as you wake up, without doing anything that might change your temp eg talking, drinking, getting out of bed.

Ideally at same time every day but I don’t think that’s as important as the other stuff. So long as you’re not taking it at 5am when your room is cold one day and then 8am the next day your room is boiling hot cause of the sun, if you see what I mean.

Ha sorry that ended up being a right rant 🤓

OP posts:
HavinKittens · 03/06/2023 10:30

Here’s mine for this cycle, fairly up and down but I guess there’s an overall pattern.

Last month the drop in temp at 10dpo was really obvious and clear sign I wasn’t pregnant.

HavinKittens · 03/06/2023 10:34

See here’s last month with a more obvious rise after ovulation and then starts to fall at 9dpo cause no pregnancy to keep the progestrogen and the temp up.
