Hi ladies

I thought I’d create this thread if anyone wants to jump on.

I have a little boy who was 2 in April šŸ’–

we decided in March to start trying for baby #2 and we were delighted to get pregnant that same month! Unfortunately we lost the baby at the end of April at 6w 4d

The MC is completed and I have taken an OPK this morning which looks to be really high. Not quite peak but definitely high which is just great that I’m ovulating again! I didn’t know what would happen. We both feel ready to try again this month so will be going for it.

Whether you’re TTC baby #1 #2 #3 etc you’re welcome to jump on ā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļø

Sez281 · 11/08/2023 12:54

@Jadeypie I'm so sorry to hear about your dad šŸ˜” You're definitely right to step back a bit for yourself and let nature take its course x

@Hankthehonk Awww that's an amazing scan! So happy for you 🄰

Strawb28 · 11/08/2023 14:56

@Jadeypie I am so sorry for your loss šŸ˜¢šŸ’”

Westy22 · 11/08/2023 19:30

@Jadeypie So sorry šŸ’” thinking of you x

Still no AF but I've had a fair bit of CM Today with hints of brown in it. Not a clue what's happening..don't think my body does either as my boobs have swelled up again and feel a bit off. No testing just watching and waiting x

Sez281 · 12/08/2023 08:04

@Westy22 that's very strange. What day are you on now? I did test this morn (11DPO) and a BFN. AF due tomorrow so think I'm out. I kind of knew this wouldn't be my cycle so just want it to arrive now šŸ˜”

Westy22 · 12/08/2023 09:10

I know @Sez281 a little bit more brown today, hoping its just a very strange start to my period as I'm fed up of the raging hormones now. Xx

Sez281 · 12/08/2023 09:24

@Westy22 Ugh our bodies are so annoying aren't they! I feel so nauseous again this morning. (I'm starting to think it might be the proceive max vitamins I started taking about 10 days ago) Also I've been testing my LH levels just out of curiosity (as I have loads of them) and it's rising so I don't know what the hell is going on 😣

Westy22 · 12/08/2023 18:28

I was looking at proceive @Sez281 I'm on cytoplan atm but the vitamin levels in proceive look a bit better, maybe you need a bit longer to adjust to it. AF has arrived, which I'm okay with now as it's a new cycle 😊 going out for tea and going to have a wine and chill 😊

I've been tracking LH throughout the last two months and have noticed mines like a rollercoaster practically the whole month so it tells me nothing, other than maybe explains why I'm so mentally unstable most of the time 🤣 it also rises before AF so im probably not going to use them after ovulation going forward. I'm also proud I've not done a pregnancy test for a few days now 🤣🤣 if I keep this going I could change the habit...although we're approaching a Mercury retrograde and that messes with me 🤣🤣

Good luck over the next few days šŸ¤ž xxx

Sez281 · 13/08/2023 13:56

Hi @Westy22 Glad you are ok with it arriving, at least you know where you're at now! Mine arrived this morn and I'm weirdly ok with it too as the app was bang on so hoping I'll be back to "normal" now after my messed up CP last month. Pmsl about the mentally unstable comment, I'm the same and not going to waste LH after ov anymore now either, I was just doing it out of curiosity but it didn't tell me anything. I'm also happy with my new predicted dates as my fertile window falls into my 4 days off work and not when my DH will be out of the country as feared so I plan on dtd as much as possible then. (I also need to make it up to him as I've been a right hormonal bitch with him the last few weeks šŸ™ˆšŸ˜‚) I'm going to continue with the proceive max as I've another 20 sachets left and it cost me 60 quid! šŸ˜‚ Best of luck in the next cycle šŸ¤ž xx

Westy22 · 17/08/2023 21:04

How is everyone? X

Approaching my fertile window and proud to say so far ive bought no ovulation tests šŸ¤£šŸ’Ŗ

Also had my hormone levels checked and apparently there normal so that's made me feel better, I did ask for the numbers as I don't really trust my GP anymore as yet again no conversations just a text to say normal šŸ˜‘ so I've done a bit googling and although they were done on cycle day 4 rather than 3...my FSH, LH, Oestrogen and testosterone look within normal range..here's to hopefully a chilled month šŸ™ x

Sez281 · 18/08/2023 18:39

That's really good news about your levels @Westy22 šŸ™Œ I can't believe it's nearly fertile window time again. I'm not far behind you. AF finished yesterday so I'm thinking a couple of days and we'll start trying to dtd as much as possible. It falls really well for me this cycle as I'm off work next week and then half way through the tww I'll be going on holiday so definitely a nice distraction. Best of luck to all this cycle! šŸ¤ž

Hankthehonk · 19/08/2023 06:41

@Westy22 brilliant news about your hormone levels and that you're feeling more relaxed this cycle. Hope the tww goes fast for you!
That does sound like the ideal cycle @Sez281 in terms of enjoying everything else in life, have a brilliant holiday!

xxcxdonxx · 20/08/2023 08:03

Morning ladies, I hopefully have some good news!
I had a bfp at 10dpo but then a bfn at 11dpo so I assumed it was another chemical. I bought some CB tests just to confirm
and got another bfp at 12dpo and then this morning at 13dpo. It’s so hard not to think the worst and worry about line progression when previous experiences tells me not to get my hopes up but for today, I am going to try and think positively šŸ’œ

Hankthehonk · 20/08/2023 08:37

@xxcxdonxx so happy to see this! Really excited for you, good luck holding on to the positivity. If anxiety does creep in, that's normal but I hope you can stay happy as this is such an exciting time

Sez281 · 20/08/2023 08:40

Aww that's amazing @xxcxdonxx tentative congratulations! Are you officially late yet? I know it's easier said than done but try not to go on line progression. Lines on 12 & 13 are so hopeful ā˜ŗļø xx

Hankthehonk · 20/08/2023 08:44

How are the other pregnant ladies doing? @Freddie15VES @DmcinT - and sorry I think there are others but can't remember usernames to tag.

I had a whole week of feeling excited and relaxed after my 12 week scan, then got screening results back yesterday. I'm low for the three syndromes they screen for but I've got low PAPP-A. I've been reading up on it and it seems most people go on to have healthy babies but there are potential risks especially around low birth weight. I'm going to get extra monitoring and scans.
Trying not to worry too much but the dread at the back of my mind has been switched back on. Back to counting the days a bit anxiously until my next scan (3 weeks tomorrow).

Jadeypie · 20/08/2023 08:53

@xxcxdonxx awww congratulations love news to see ā¤ļøā¤ļø

@Hankthehonk I understand the anxiety when u get some news like this and then you go mad on Google. In my first pregnancy I sailed through untill the last five weeks when they decided the baby was small, could have either down syndrome or dwarfism they sat me in a room to explain everything I was shocked. When he was born he was not small he was 8.3 and he didn't have down syndrome or dwarfism. Sometimes they have to tell you things for the just incase even when it doesn't mean anything xx

I haven't posted much but I do keep checking in on you ladies from time to time xx

HopeAndStrength · 20/08/2023 09:46

Ahh @xxcxdonxx that's so exciting!

xxcxdonxx · 20/08/2023 09:54

@Hankthehonk @Sez281 @Jadeypie
thanks so much ā˜ŗļø The anxiety has definitely crept in, analysing every twinge or when I go to the toilet. I think it’s a mix of not wanting to get my hopes up but also wanting to be back to my first pregnancy when I just took a positive test as gospel and moved on, it’s a confusing time! My period is due tomorrow so I know I will keep testing over the next week or so and hopefully settle my nerves.

@Hankthehonk I can totally understand your worry. I measured small with both my pregnancies and had extra scans. Im
not aware of anything that caused the concerns other than the actual measurements. With my
second I ended up having a C-section the following day as they wanted her out as quickly as possible, she was 7.1 and perfectly healthy, my first was 8.1.
Ive not read up on PAPP-A so I don’t know anything about it, will they offer you any additional tests or scans?

Sez281 · 20/08/2023 10:04

@Hankthehonk I think like others have said it might just be a case where they have to give you every possible scenario (doesn't help the anxiety I'm sure!) hopefully next 3 weeks fly in for you šŸ¤ž @Jadeypie hope your doing ok xx

HopeAndStrength · 20/08/2023 10:07

@Hankthehonk I'm sorry you're feeling anxious after your results. Hopefully your midwife can talk you through what it means and provide some reassurance.
I know what you mean that each milestone feels like a long wait. I'm currently on the countdown to my 20 week scan at the start of Sept. Feeling much better at the moment, the nausea has pretty much gone now. I also have a bit of a rounded belly (not quite a bump) which is exciting.
I hope everyone else it getting on OK.

Hankthehonk · 20/08/2023 10:15

Thanks all, I'm going to speak with the midwife tomorrow. The main thing they want to keep an eye on is baby's growth so it looks like I'll get extra scans every 3 weeks in third trimester. They'll also monitor my bloods and blood pressure more regularly as there's a slightly higher risk of pre-eclampsia. The list of risks also includes miscarriage and stillbirth but trying not to focus on that, I don't think the risk there is high.
@Jadeypie it must have been scary to have those possibilities suddenly at the end of your pregnancy but brilliant to heart that everything turned out well.
@xxcxdonxx lovely that both your babies had such healthy weights in the end. My daughter was 8lb5 - I'm 5ft10 and dh is 6ft2 so I feel like we would never naturally have a small baby! But preparing myself that it might happen now due to this papp-a thing.

@HopeAndStrength congrats on making it so far and great to hear you're feeling good! Not long to go now, the 20 week scan is so exciting as you can see so much. Are you planning to find out the sex?

Hankthehonk · 20/08/2023 10:17

Oh and it seems that they prefer to induce women with low papp-a which I'm a bit gutted about. I had a terrible time being induced with my daughter and was really hoping to avoid it this time. But obviously if it's deemed medically necessary, so be it.
