Hi ladies

I thought I’d create this thread if anyone wants to jump on.

I have a little boy who was 2 in April šŸ’–

we decided in March to start trying for baby #2 and we were delighted to get pregnant that same month! Unfortunately we lost the baby at the end of April at 6w 4d

The MC is completed and I have taken an OPK this morning which looks to be really high. Not quite peak but definitely high which is just great that I’m ovulating again! I didn’t know what would happen. We both feel ready to try again this month so will be going for it.

Whether you’re TTC baby #1 #2 #3 etc you’re welcome to jump on ā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļø

Haha @SnookyPook I'm pretending I'm in a TWW until AF tells me otherwise lol x

Hankthehonk · 02/07/2023 18:11

Thanks for checking in @SnookyPook good to read all the updates! How many dpo are you now?

I'm 6 weeks today and definitely been feeling more pregnant these past few days. Boobs are sore and fatigue is a lot more intense. Still feeling anxious obviously, I'm finding it hard to think about the future as I so badly want everything to be ok this time but it's hard to picture.
Got my booking appointment on Friday then I'll get scan date through so just trying to take it a day at a time! We had a glorious family holiday this past week, I was knackered but loved just being with dh and dd. Trying not to wonder if it's our last holiday as a family of 3.

DmcinT · 02/07/2023 18:48

Thanks @SnookyPook and @Westy22 it’s funny for woman who don’t know each other we’ve been through a lot together ā¤ļøšŸ„° rooting for everyone of u this month toošŸ™šŸ½šŸ¤žšŸ½

@Hankthehonk glad u enjoyed the holiday, please god the next will be a holiday of 4ā˜ŗļøšŸ˜€ I’m similar to u symptom wise. Just wondering what all they do with u at ur booking appointment? I think that’s the one we have at 4-5 weeks here but not sure, is it just registering/confirming pregnancy, taking bloods, going through your medical history and the dos and donts of pregnancy?

Hankthehonk · 02/07/2023 19:17

@DmcinT It takes 45 mins to an hour here (I'm in Scotland) - they ask you a lot of questions about medical history including family history. Then that's you properly on the system, they get you booked in for bloods and scan after that.

I just did it in Feb for the pregnancy I lost but apparently you need to go through it all afresh.

DmcinT · 02/07/2023 20:10

ah yes that’s the same as ours just a bit earlier. I had one in feb also šŸ˜” but same I had to go through it all again a few weeks ago.
the heat has really got me today, mixed with nausea it’s tough goin šŸ™ˆ

Hankthehonk · 02/07/2023 20:51

@DmcinT sorry you're suffering in the heat! Hope you can take it super easy and maybe float around in a pool?!
Back to work for me tomorrow after my week off, dreading managing work and parenting now the fatigue has really kicked in

DmcinT · 02/07/2023 21:40

@Hankthehonk oh best of luck tomorr, hope all goes well. Is ur job demanding/on ur feet all day or can u get little breaks throughout the day?

Hankthehonk · 02/07/2023 22:54

@DmcinT It's a desk job so could be a lot worse but I'm in tons of meetings and generally just have too much to do so breaks won't be easy. I know most jobs are probably the same. I'm scheduling in lunch breaks each day and need to make sure I actually take it and either go for a walk or rest! Things should be a wee bit quieter over the summer hopefully with lots of people on holiday so fewer meetings šŸ¤ž and I do 4 days, so I know I don't have anything to complain about compared to people with jobs like doctor, nurse or teacher.

xxcxdonxx · 03/07/2023 07:31

@Westy22 @SnookyPook the Tww is torture, hopefully you are managing to keep busy which is 100% easier said than done!

@DmcinT @Hankthehonk those early weeks feel so long, it’s tough going when you aren’t feeling well but are almost trying to hide it.

Jadeypie · 03/07/2023 07:41

Morning everyone 🄰

Freddie15VES · 03/07/2023 10:02

Sorry guys I’ve been totally awful on this. Other half is currently on night shifts so I’m full on with my 2 year old and battling with extreme tiredness šŸ˜‚šŸ˜©

also @DmcinT how weird I also have my first scan on the 11th haha we seem to be very in sync!! Be funny to see if our due dates are still the same after this scan!

DmcinT · 03/07/2023 12:30

@Hankthehonk hope today is going well, deff book in a few ā€˜self meetings’ to give urself wee breaks if u canšŸ™ƒ

@Freddie15VES that’s hilarious, we are deff in sync. How u feeling now? I woke again from 5-8 this morn, seems to be a pattern now 😩 and I’m so bloated today I deff look 4/5 months gone

Freddie15VES · 03/07/2023 13:13

@DmcinT generally I’m okay but I’m SO tired mid morning and I’m the evenings. The nausea really really hits me if I don’t eat nearly every hour. But I can’t stomach much - it’s so hard when you know eating will make you feel better but then you feel so so sick when getting something down you!

How you getting on in your TWW @SnookyPook?

Had some weird feelings the last 48 hours, super tingly boobs all day yesterday which has now subsided and then totally exhausted today, to the point work commented I looked knackered lol. One app is telling me I'm due on (flo) and prenom is telling me I'm now 1dpo 🤣 so who knows. I did opk yesterday and today and I'm now thinking I ovulated yesterday and now my hormone is switching up I'm exhausted? Could be wrong tho as this week would be my usual period week based on previous ones šŸ™ˆ

(Top one is yesterday, last two are today)

Xxx

Hi @Strawb28 how are you doing? I was expecting to get my lh peak today and it’s nowhere in sight, not even close. Hopefully it magically appears over the weekend ā˜ŗļø

Strawb28 · 07/07/2023 09:15

Hi @xxcxdonxx i got a complete shock when I got my peak on CD12 this month. Completely out of the blue as last month it was CD17!! I would be 1 or 2dpo now but going to keep testing incase it may have been a false peak but it just goes to show the ovulation doesn't always go by the book!! X

xxcxdonxx · 07/07/2023 09:44

Ah how strange @Strawb28 , so you could be in your tww just now. Everything crossed for you šŸ¤žšŸ».
Funnily enough, my strongest test line so far this month was cd11 but dipped since then. I don’t think I missed it so hoping it reappears!!

Strawb28 · 07/07/2023 09:53

@xxcxdonxx yes apparently I am 2dpo!! According to mumsnet my strongest was a 0.96 om CD11 but they were quite dark all of CD11 and CD12!! They've decreased significantly and I'm on CD15 now but still want to keep an eye incase I miss it! X

SnookyPook · 10/07/2023 11:17

Hey hey! How's everyone doing? Miss you guys! The thread has gone quiet now so many have had BFPs!

I'm 12dpo... Got my pre-AF cramps - due tomorrow - pretty certain I'm out. Has anyone else found their pms/emotions during the tww has been worse since your loss? I think the fluctuating hormones combined with reminders I'm no longer pregnant/really wanting to be pregnant again are just affecting me a whole lot more. I never used to be too bad pre-period but I've been weepy and ragey and just bleurgh.

Hope everyone else is good. ā¤ļø

HopeAndStrength · 10/07/2023 12:10

Hi @SnookyPook I am keeping my fingers crossed for you!

I'm doing OK thanks, 11 weeks along (hopefully) and waiting for a scan on 19th July.

Symptoms are stronger than last time but I am finding that I feel good in the mornings, then nausea kicks in later in the day. Lots of stretchy aches and pains this time too, which I know doesn't guarantee a ything but I'm hopeful it means things are progressing in there.

Will keep you all posted on the scan next week!

Sez281 · 10/07/2023 12:32

Hi ladies, going to join this thread if that's ok? I've just been reading back on some old posts and it's so nice to hear so many BFP stories after loss. I had MMC at the start of March, cycle only back to normal since May so have been actively ttc since then. AF due in 2 days and have only had BFNs but I really feel like I could get a positive one as I have really sore breasts, cramps and very nauseous this morn. In my heart I know it's more than likely PMS but I never had it this bad before. Has anybody that had an ERPC felt that it made pms symptoms stronger? I'm probably just overthinking everything šŸ™ˆ

Hankthehonk · 10/07/2023 12:43

@SnookyPook I've been wondering how you were getting on! You're not out yet, but it may well be wise to try and prepare yourself for af arriving. You are so strong not testing already, I'd never make it to 12 dpo. I will hold out hope for you.
The intensity of emotions/PMS is totally understandable. I definitely felt that in the 3 months between pregnancies, every little thing feels more intense when I might not have noticed it pre-loss.

I'm feeling more pregnant by the day/week (am 7w1d now), I actually vomited last night for the first time and I've been so exhausted especially in the evenings. Craving gross food, currently making a salad and fantasising about chicken nuggets. Which is obviously reassuring to a point but I had similar symptoms with the pregnancy I lost. I am not really able to think ahead with this one, I'm so anxious, I've got a private scan next week (after much back and forth about whether to do it) and I feel sick with nerves every time I think about it. But I decided I would rather know sooner rather than later if things are NOT going well, even though it wouldn't reassure me much if the scan is positive.

Hankthehonk · 10/07/2023 12:45

@Sez281 welcome to the thread and sorry for your loss. Exciting that you are feeling hopeful about this month, when are you planning to test next? Rooting for a bfp for you!

Sez281 · 10/07/2023 13:04

@SnookyPook I feel like I could have written this post. I never had PMS symptoms or mood swings before my MMC in March, I'm getting angry and emotional over the smallest things 😭 I'm due AF in 2 days and part of me knows it's coming but then the other half has convinced myself I've got symptoms as I've never known breast pain like it before (but then again maybe it was there and I never noticed šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø) Fingers crossed for both of us this month but if not we'll both be sharing new cycle together so we can help each other through it

Sez281 · 10/07/2023 13:06

Thanks @Hankthehonk and congratulations on your BFP. It's so exciting! I made it to 8w4 before MMC in March so I know even if I do get BFP I'm going to be so nervous about it. My plan is not to tear before AF due in 2 days but I've no willpower so will probably test tomorrow šŸ™ˆšŸ˜‚
