Hi ladies

I thought I’d create this thread if anyone wants to jump on.

I have a little boy who was 2 in April šŸ’–

we decided in March to start trying for baby #2 and we were delighted to get pregnant that same month! Unfortunately we lost the baby at the end of April at 6w 4d

The MC is completed and I have taken an OPK this morning which looks to be really high. Not quite peak but definitely high which is just great that I’m ovulating again! I didn’t know what would happen. We both feel ready to try again this month so will be going for it.

Whether you’re TTC baby #1 #2 #3 etc you’re welcome to jump on ā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļø

@Westy22 ah it's all so up and down isn't it! I was fairly upbeat yesterday and today I'm really feeling quite despondent about it all. No I don't track cervix changes... I'm bad enough just analysing opks and symptom spotting so really don't want to add bbt and cervix etc into the mix! That said, I think it's partly because I've been quite lucky not to take too long for my previous pregnancies (4 cycles and 3 cycles respectively) - I can imagine if it takes longer I'll be more eager to try and track what my body is up to.

@Freddie15VES 10dpo is still super early - still in implantation window so you wouldn't see HCG yet necessarily... šŸ¤žšŸ» Try again in a few days! (This is what I'm telling myself to resist testing early... 9dpo and will be waiting for AF...)

DmcinT · 08/06/2023 18:05

@Westy22 @SnookyPook the swinging pendulum of emotions is just mental, it’s deff from some hormone shift in me today I’m just not exactly sure which but as usual all we can do is wait and see šŸ˜©šŸ™ˆ feel like I’ve been saying that since we started trying in nov… it’s just been waiting waiting… kinda feels endless some days

@Freddie15VES i tested negative at 10 dpo the last time and then positive at 12 so ur deff not out šŸ¤žšŸ½ā¤ļø

Freddie15VES · 08/06/2023 18:45

@DmcinT aw thanks for the slither of hope! I weirdly feel like I’m not pregnant though and I feel like I’m just waiting for AF now! But not upset or sad - just hoping I can actually have another baby! That’s the only thing that keeps worrying me!

It's such a crap time isn't it @DmcinT and I'm only in the first few weeks of actually really trying (first pregnancy was a surprise as I'd been on the pill 19 years and only off it for 4 months).

A fair few cramps this afternoon and dagger pains down below, now I'm defo convinced I'm going to come on lol. Ment to be out with friends at the weekend and I'm like do I drink or not šŸ™ˆ

Freddie15VES · 08/06/2023 19:10

Wow….literally just taken another

@Freddie15VES ABSOLUTELY a line there, omg huge congrats šŸ„³šŸŽ‰ hope it progresses good and dark now over the next few days. So exciting šŸ„°ā¤ļø

Westy22 · 08/06/2023 19:29

Awwwww @Freddie15VES congratulations šŸŽŠ keep us updated xx

DmcinT · 08/06/2023 19:30

Oh also @Westy22 would that be possible implantation though? I had a few sharp dagger pains the last time around 9 dpo and I 100% think it was implantation looking back.

I’ve kinda had similar this evening too, deff cramps & twinges on and off and stomach is so bloated, that swollen feeling where there no way u could hold in. I was thinking would it be af but I’ve never gotten it 5/6 days early, I’ve a short enough cycle as it is at 27 days so now I’m doubting it could be af related but who knows really šŸ˜‚šŸ¤·šŸ½ā€ā™€ļø

SnookyPook · 08/06/2023 19:31

@Freddie15VES Eeeeee! That's a line!! No Botox after all 🤪😁 You've now given me a nugget of hope again after your previous post said you don't feel pregnant as I just said this to my DH about 15 mins ago... Haha.

Westy22 · 08/06/2023 19:44

@DmcinT hopefully but I just don't know lol I have no idea when I actually ovulated, I had along of stringy clear CM on the 31st so i went with then ha. My cycle is so out tho because I've just thought if I only ovulated then...I mustn't be due on for another week 😩 kill me now 🤣

My fault tho tbh because I didn't want to wait for a period before I started trying so everything's all over the show lol

I'm super bloated and had nausea again today around mid day. I have no pregnancy tests so that's killing me 🤣 but also good so I don't test 145278982 times a day 🤣

Freddie15VES · 08/06/2023 20:09

Thanks guys I’m honestly like WTF 🤯🤯🤯 I said to my boyfriend today how I felt really down and disheartened cos we did everything ā€˜right’

I’m actually shocked. Now it’s dried it’s DEFO there. I’m just feeling so scared now I don’t think I’m going to tell other half until Father’s Day so that’ll give enough time for a super sticky baby!

OP posts:
SnookyPook · 08/06/2023 20:26

@Freddie15VES ooh that's a lovely idea to tell him on Father's Day! Do you think you'll manage to keep it quiet until then though?! Hehe.

SnookyPook · 08/06/2023 20:38

@DmcinT are you planning to test tomorrow? I'm still pretty determined to wait until AF - especially as not really expecting it this month now but boy is time dragging!! And @Freddie15VES has now paved the way... šŸ¤”šŸ˜†

DmcinT · 08/06/2023 20:45

@Freddie15VES thsts a lovely idea, I’d love to think I could do that but if I see a bfp I don’t think I could keep it to myself and be around him for the weekšŸ˜‚ I’d need to move out lol

@SnookyPook I think tomorr could still be too soon for me, I’ll only be 9/10 dpo, I even think Saturday is prob still too early tbh but because I’m going to the hen I said I’d testšŸ™ˆ I think it’s very likely I’ll still be neg (even if I am poss).
what are u thinking?

@Westy22 ah yeah, that is hard to know. But lovely to think it can happen that soon after too, everything crossed for ušŸ¤žšŸ½

it would be so lovely to move onto ā€˜February Baby’s’ together 🄰

SnookyPook · 08/06/2023 20:55

@DmcinT yeah wise to test before a Hen-Do, though as you say, there'd still be a chance wouldn't there, even if neg on Sat... šŸ¤”

I'm planning to hold out for AF tbh... Even if it drives me mad waiting. Haha. It's what I did with my previous two and resulted in my only pregnancy tests being positive (until the one after the miscarriage - that was my first negative one! Very surreal) - much as I'm tempted I'm not sure I'd really take much comfort from a squinter or a fear of a chemical etc. That's just me...

Has everyone realised that if we get preggo the next couple of weeks, we're prime candidates for leap year babies?!

SnookyPook · 08/06/2023 20:57

I mean they'll all be leap year babies.. but specifically, Feb 29th birthday!

Freddie15VES · 08/06/2023 21:18

@SnookyPook @DmcinT i feel like I’ll be able to because I feel sick with fear that I’ll have another miscarriage or this is a chemical pregnancy or an indent etc so I want to try and protect him from any more hurt! He’s also starting a new job soon so want him to be in a really good frame of mind and not worrying! I’ll just have to chew all your ears off with my worries if that’s okay! So crazy how the first people I tell are people I’ve never met! šŸ’–

what I don’t get (I don’t know if anyone can offer any clarity) but how could I test this morning with fmu and it be absolutely negative like not even a squinter but then at 7pm when I’ve been drinking all day, probably only held a wee for a few hours I get a faint line? Just stressing it’s not real!!

OP posts:
DmcinT · 08/06/2023 21:21

@SnookyPook omg šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚ I never realised that. My cousin was born feb 29th so that would be a bit mad! She’s coming 10 (actually 40) now next year.

SnookyPook · 08/06/2023 21:51

@DmcinT haha love that! I'd deffo make a thing of the 'real age' birthdays I think šŸ˜‚

@Freddie15VES it's so weird isn't it but I guess it just depends when the HCG reaches that threshold where it's detectable... Your body isn't working to the same clock haha. Meanwhile, chat away about your worries here to your heart's content. When I'm lucky enough to get another BFP I will be just the same!!

DmcinT · 08/06/2023 22:33

@Freddie15VES sorry we cross posted just reading urs nowā¤ļø I absolutely understand the worry. I think my friends and family would think I’ve lost it if they knew how obsessive or that I’ve been with everything so this is a great space to discuss with people going through the exact same emotions. I always know there will be a few on here feeling the same as me. Share all ur worries here no probs šŸ˜‚ we’re here for ya ā¤ļø

Westy22 · 08/06/2023 22:39

@Freddie15VES lovely idea to tell him on fathers day ā¤ļø I'd do the same if I ended up with some good news this time.

Keep us updated ā¤ļø I love that I've found chat, it keeps me going lol x

Freddie15VES · 09/06/2023 06:52

Not sure how I’m feeling today, feel like it might be a chemical!! Does this look darker than yesterdays?! Pregnancy is so full of worry! !

@Freddie15VES that definitely looks a bit darker to me, but remember also that HCG is expected to double every 48hrs. I think every other day is recommended for testing (or just not retesting once you've had the positive but we all know how likely that is... šŸ˜†)

SnookyPook · 09/06/2023 08:41

@Freddie15VES this time yesterday you hadn't even had your positive test so it's been under 24hrs. šŸ’•

Westy22 · 09/06/2023 08:43

I think it looks darker @Freddie15VES xx
