Yeh I know 48 hours would be optimal definitely 😂, I’m a bit worried about testing on a Monday morning right before work as if it’s not the news I want I think I may be prone to being an absolute b**h to everyone all day 😆

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 13/05/2023 10:34

Just to mention when I had low progesterone post miscarriage, my charts looked nothing like yours. They were all over the place and very unbalanced

Mirla · 13/05/2023 11:01

@Eirlys1986 I get the logic of waiting for a stronger result but if you can find some reassurance that even a faint line is a line, maybe just go ahead and do an afternoon test today because maybe it'll settle your fears a little?

@Mrsspoon3 My GP's logic was that the referral takes a while anyway, so she'd get the bloods done for me straight away. Perhaps you can be quite direct with them and say you're worried about your cycle and TTC so could you have progesterone tested please?

I've tested this morning and there's definitely no distinct line but then it seemed like there was a darker patch... and my brain played tricks on me a bit so... I'm offering this up for your consideration; is this just the pink wash not having fully cleared the window yet? I'm 99% sure that's a negative. But you know. TTC insanity strikes.

I took my B vitamins late yesterday. Hmm.

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 Thanks sooo much, that makes me feel so much better!! Hopefully I’m just worrying about nothing. I was going to say I’m just used to post-ovulation temps being higher, but actually looking at it now it looks like it’s my pre-ov ones which were much lower, so cover line was lower. Anyway, I will try not to worry! 😊 It’s true things will probably be different this time with the impact having a little one naturally has on your body. Hopefully all will work out. Thanks so much for your reassurance! 😊

Mrsspoon3 · 13/05/2023 11:11

@Mirla, thanks! I might see how I get on next month and the maybe contact my gp. Ooh I see what you mean! I honestly don’t know! I do definitely see the dark patch but not sure if it’s the pink wash not having cleared. Have you got another test to try again later? Good luck, I hope it’s a BFP!

Eirlys1986 · 13/05/2023 11:15

@Mirla I can see a darker edge but then I’ve been staring at lines a lot recently 😂, I presume this is just a standard test? Perhaps repeat with a more sensitive one OR exercise the patience I clearly lack and wait 48 hours and retest 😂. Thanks for your thoughts on the retesting for me today, I’m still holding my pee so I can make a decision once toddler has gone for his nap 😂

Mirla · 13/05/2023 11:19

@Mrsspoon3 Yeah, I've just counted and I've 7 left, so I could have a POAS party all day 😂
I think maybe I'll do one this afternoon just because of the B vitamin thing, and then leave it alone til tomorrow.

Mirla · 13/05/2023 11:24

@Eirlys1986 It's a Premom/Easy@home one, which claims in the paperwork it has a sensitivity of 10, which I think is the same as the FRERs, but whether it is actually as sensitive as it says is another question... I saw a paper where some researchers found that relatively few brands actually accurately report their sensitivity. I guess that's why everyone loves the FRERs, as they actually do what they say they do.

Tomorrow is also really not that far away. 😂

Mrsspoon3 · 13/05/2023 11:25

@Haha 😂 I’d definitely end up actually doing that! 😂 That sounds sensible though! Good luck 😊

Muriel84 · 13/05/2023 12:20

@Mrsspoon3 oh have an amazing time tonight! We just watched Eurovision special of Saturday kitchen. It’ll be such a fun eve! @Eirlys1986 i may have done this when I contacted my GP… thank you for validating my actions! 😂😬

@Mirla i similarly think I can see a hint of something but also have line eyes from my own testing! A frer is meant to be 6miu isn’t it?(@Mummyme87 correct me if I’m wrong?) boots are 10 but seem very sensitive. I did a £1 “early” test this morning and it was very very faint! Meant to be 10 too. But it was 12 hours after my last test.

@Eirlys1986 good luck looking after your son on your own this weekend! Hope you get a break at some point. X

Eirlys1986 · 13/05/2023 12:53

@Muriel84 he’s asleep now so I have enjoyed myself a sandwich and just watching the new cleopatra series on Netflix. I remember when I could sit and watch this stuff alllll day if I wanted 😂. I repeated a boots test this afternoon and feel satisfied and a bit happier that the line is just as strong as yesterday so I feel now like I can leave it at that for 48-72 hours before any retest (genuinely this time as I think I’ve only one test left anyhoo!) 😂
@Mrsspoon3 enjoy Eurovision! X

Mummyme87 · 13/05/2023 13:00

Yeah @Muriel84 they are 10miu but much more sensitive than many others.

TheBirdintheCave · 13/05/2023 13:05

Congrats to @Muriel84 and @Eirlys1986 ! ❤️

Only news from me is that we'll be closing our first IVF round tomorrow when we'll find out how many day 5 embryos are suitable for freezing (currently 8+). Transfer is planned for late June/early July as I was high risk for OHSS but thankfully seem to have avoided it for now.

Eirlys1986 · 13/05/2023 13:09

@TheBirdintheCave thank you 😊, so glad you have avoided OHSS! Are you actually finding out tomorrow how many of the embryos can be frozen? Good luck! X

Un7breakable · 13/05/2023 13:13

@Eirlys1986 Fingers crossed it keeps getting darker.

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 Glad the spotting is better this month.

Spotting started as usual for me at 9dpo so I think I'm out this month. I've been pretty ill which was interesting as Dr had to find what they could give me that I wasn't allergic to and was pregnancy safe just in case.

Got three months to wait before I see gynea and by that point I hope I'll be able to be referred to fertility. Does anyone know if gyne does this or GP has to do it?

Eirlys1986 · 13/05/2023 13:22

@Un7breakable highly likely GP will have to do it, sometimes hospital specialists will refer between themselves but it is usually Gp. Is there a specific reason your GP/you decided to see gynae in a general clinic first before fertility services? Sorry if I’ve forgotten past details of everything x

Mrsspoon3 · 13/05/2023 13:40

Thanks @Eirlys1986 and @Muriel84 , so excited for tonight! 😊

Mirla · 13/05/2023 14:30

My afternoon retest was resolutely blank so I am 100% leaving it alone til tomorrow now. I'm sure now that that darker patch was nothing. It really did line up for a moment there but I looked back at it later and it was clear as a clear thing.

Eirlys1986 · 13/05/2023 14:52

Sorry @Mirla - worth a retest tomorrow morning as you say x

emmatcc1 · 14/05/2023 10:33

Did a test this morning and it’s very negative but I was sure I’ll ovulate tomorrow. I’ll do another one in a couple of hours. I also have some ovulation symptoms.

Muriel84 · 14/05/2023 13:02

@emmatcc1 maybe repeat this eve? Mine goes up very quickly, i get a quick surge.

@Eirlys1986 @Mirla how are you both doing today?

@Mrsspoon3 how was Eurovision?! Xx

Eirlys1986 · 14/05/2023 13:34

@Muriel84 good thanks, feeling much more settled now after getting a more obviously positive test yesterday so feeling able to just leave things be. I also felt very flushed and tired yesterday so that was reassuring in a way to feel “different” somehow. I almost can’t believe it. How are you feeling about everything overall?
@emmatcc1 what ovulation symptoms do you get? Definitely worth testing twice daily when you feel you are moving towards peak time as you can miss that LH surge if it spikes and drops quickly
@Mrsspoon3 hope you had a great time! I was thinking of you when watching last night 😂

Muriel84 · 14/05/2023 13:41

@Eirlys1986 good that’s great to hear ☺️I’m feeling a little crazy already! Insomnia has hit. Have the strange sensation in mouth/throat I’ve had with last three pregnancies. Such an anxious time. Using ICs I bought and getting darker so that’s good. Might phone epau and see if I can get an early scan cos of my history. But not even at expected date of period yet 🙈 x

emmatcc1 · 14/05/2023 13:45

@Eirlys1986 I have ovary pain and bigger boobs. Also my cervix is open and I have a bit of ewcm. I did start testing twice yesterday but I was expecting a positive today, I’ll do another test later today.

Mummyme87 · 14/05/2023 13:46

@Muriel84 @Eirlys1986 lovely news about tests getting darker! Congratulations guys
