@RoseH36 it only takes one!

I get on well with the easy at home ones. Trying clear blue advanced this month to see if having more of a lead into peak helps. So far I'm not a fan.

SnookyPook · 24/05/2023 14:31

@RoseH36 I just use the OneStep! I don't think they're great if you want a really exact peak etc but I just use them to know which few days to make sure we DTD a bit more and as I say, they've worked twice for me (both times I was actively trying to conceive) so no complaints.

RoseH36 · 24/05/2023 18:20

@Un7breakable so very true! Interesting to hear you're not a fan so far. I'll be looking into other options if we aren't pregnant again next month.

@SnookyPook thank you, will take a look at those ones, there are so many options! I tested again not long ago with the Clearblue and it's now showing peak!

RoseH36 · 24/05/2023 18:22

@TheFanciestPants sorry to hear you've been through it too. It's been surprising how many people I know who have. It is nice not to feel alone, definitely need a good support network to chat to.

Pineappleapple · 24/05/2023 19:37

Mind if I ask your thoughts? Clear blue said ovulation CD14. These don't seem to be showing me anything? Looking at SMEP, sounds similar to what we are attempting.

@RoseH36 I think i have had 4 days of high days on clear blue. Definitely 3 days. Who knows. Sorry to hear about your miscarriage.

Pineappleapple · 24/05/2023 20:01

Sorry those photos have posted the wrong way round! Anyone know how you edit a post? I won't bother now but for future

Muriel84 · 24/05/2023 20:51

@Pineappleapple ive not used premom I just use cheap LH tests from Savers/Poundland but from the photos it doesn’t look like you’ve had a surge yet? How longs your cycle?

@Cirque1 thank you ❤️

@Eirlys1986 yes you are clearly a very lovely GP! Please can we all come and sign up with you 😂 I had a row yesterday with a very patronising rude man who refused to take over prescribing progesterone so now I’m worrying about running out in two weeks x

Pineappleapple · 24/05/2023 21:22

Thanks for taking a look Muriel. Yeah that's what I thought. Assumed my cycle fairly regular but when I wrote it out it varied from 24 days to 42 over the last 10 months or so!
Sorry about your GP experience, that sounds awful

Muriel84 · 24/05/2023 21:42

@Pineappleapple ah yes I remember you saying your cycles haven’t been regular. I’d keep testing a couple of times a day, you should get a surge soon. Are you doing SMEP? So exhausting when you ovulate later than expected! X

Mrsspoon3 · 24/05/2023 22:51

@Pineappleapple Im not very good with the none digital opks so no advice, but totally sympathise with how hard it is trying to track ovulation with irregular cycles! Mine have also varied massively (from 30 to 49 days!) over last few months. Hope you get a surge soon!

Mrsspoon3 · 24/05/2023 23:08

I’m a bit fed up. Got my period yesterday - absolutely knew it was coming but still very disappointing. It’s so ridiculous to be so upset when we’ve only been trying one month!! But think as I’ve been trying to talk my husband into it for a year in my head that time has been added on to our ttc journey! Feel like I’ve been waiting forever to get pregnant again. Also I don’t think we’ll be able to try this cycle as my fertile week is most likely by my calculations going to fall during the worst week ever when my husband is out the country for most of the week, and my toddler is having a procedure done at the hospital and needs to come off his meds for it so he’s going to be in lots of pain. So think the chances of being able to dtd are slim, even if ovulation happens to fall on one of the days my hsuban is around! 😭

Hope everyone else is doing ok this cycle!

RoseH36 · 25/05/2023 07:54

@Mrsspoon3 not ridiculous at all! I feel the same whenever my period arrives too and since our mmc we've only tried twice. We had to miss one month as I came down with a sickness bug right on our peak day, I was gutted.

Hope your son's procedure goes well.

Mrsspoon3 · 25/05/2023 08:21

@RoseH36 Ah thanks! It’s so hard isn’t it? Sorry to hear about your mmc too x

RoseH36 · 25/05/2023 08:49

It really is. You try not to overthink things but it's so hard not to. Thank you.

LeopardLover · 25/05/2023 13:31

@Mrsspoon3 Oh sorry 😔 It's understandable you'd feel disappointed. This is first cycle properly trying too, I'm not expecting to get my BFP because I know the odds are low, but I'll still be disappointed.

Hoping your FW is a little different than expected. Sounds like you'll have a lot going on with your toddler's procedure - but you only need one shot if you can squeeze it in.

Is anyone else back in the TWW?

Hope you're doing okay @Mummyme87 @TrudyProud @muriel84 @Eirlys1986 💜

emmatcc1 · 25/05/2023 13:38

@LeopardLover I’m in the tww currently 7dpo about to start testing in two days.

LeopardLover · 25/05/2023 14:06

@emmatcc1 Oh that's exciting! How are you feeling? 4DPO over here. 😴

TheFanciestPants · 25/05/2023 14:17

@SarahShorty how are you getting on?

I was wondering if you could share a bit about your experience please. We got my husband's SA back this morning and it was pretty low (2 million), I don't know what normal levels are (and apparently that was all he was told!) but the GP did infer this was LOW, so we have an immediate fertility clinic referral. So I expect to be joining you in the hopefully not to distant future.
As we had a mc we mistakenly were under the impression it would be ok. Ah well, I guess at least we know now.

SarahShorty · 25/05/2023 14:50

@TheFanciestPants my DH's SA came back as 11million (I think) but with good motility and morphology. Anything below 15 million is considered low by the World Health Organisation and thus my DH was diagnosed with oligozoospermia. Since we had two chemicals 6 months apart, our consultant recommended to try a little longer until we hit the 12 month mark and then if still nothing, go for IVF. January was my first egg collection.

SarahShorty · 25/05/2023 14:51

@TheFanciestPants I forgot to answer your first question, sorry. I'm preparing for my second FET for next month, so I'm already back on estrogen tablets.

JumbleJo · 25/05/2023 14:55

Hi everyone. My last message on here was that I was out this month because I thought I could feel AF coming. After nothing happened I decided to do a test and got an unexpected BFP!

I feel happy but so very nervous after my mmc in March. Last time was just awful. I started bleeding when I thought I was 10 weeks pregnant, went for an emergency scan and was told the baby had died at 7+2, just two days after we’d had a private scan showing the baby’s heartbeat. So this time I’m not getting an early scan, it just gave us so much false hope.

Sorry to sound so down in the dumps! I really am happy but I’m determined to be realistic this time. Hard though, obviously. I just want to be purely happy!

I’m sorry also if this bothers anyone - I know pregnancy announcements can be bloody awful. But you’ve all been so lovely I just wanted to share the news xx

SarahShorty · 25/05/2023 14:55

@TheFanciestPants sorry to spam you, was that 2 million per mil or total?

SarahShorty · 25/05/2023 15:03

@JumbleJo congratulations! xx

emmatcc1 · 25/05/2023 15:04

@LeopardLover I’m not experiencing any major symptoms only some twinges and these weird detailed dreams for the past few days.
