Good luck @Un7breakable , great news about the ovulation hopefully being before DP goes away
ps @Muriel84 - yeh, my pee is also glow in the dark 😂 …..happens literally around 15 mins after I’ve drunk the stuff!

Mrsspoon3 · 03/05/2023 18:25

Oh my goodness @Eirlys1986 and @LeopardLover , I’m so glad it’s not just mine that won’t do sitting!! He’s been like that since he was born, when we had to constantly hold him upright as he couldn’t yet sit by himself. I remember going out with my friend when he was about 5 months and she was like “Does he never just sit down?” And I was like “Er … no” haha.

I also didn’t have any symptoms my entire first pregnancy @LeopardLover. Literally the bump when it eventually came was the only thing. People kept telling me I was lucky but I didn’t feel it as it made me so anxious. I tested 3 times a day for 7 weeks and had loads of private scans as it worried me so much! But he was fine! So no symptoms definitely doesn’t mean you’re out 😊

VixFromThe6ix · 03/05/2023 18:38

@TrudyProud yay!!!!! Congratulations!!!!!! So exciting. Please do stick around and update us on how you're doing.
Is this our first bfp???

I'm 6dpo but pretty sure I'm out since we failed to DTD on time. I'm easily annoyed today so I'm guessing my period should come within a week.

Had my full blooded ultrasound and blood tests yesterday. My appointment is early June so I'll know how the results are. Crossing all my fingers and toes I'm still making eggs lol

@Mrsspoon3 my son was also like he is now from day one, very colicky/unsettled/demanding. I do often feel jealous of “pudding” babies as my family affectionately refers to littles that will sit still and entertain themselves but DS is certainly maximum fun value

@Eirlys1986 Haha pudding babies, I like that! Yeah I feel jealous sometimes too when we’re out and about and there’s babies just sat there not needing to be constantly entertained, but I do also love how he is! He has so much personality and is into everything and I wouldn’t change that. Though I wouldn’t mind a pudding baby this time around … 😂

Eirlys1986 · 03/05/2023 19:30

@Mrsspoon3 😂me and other half literally had the exact conversation the other night of saying we are “owed” a pudding baby who sleeps this time….fat.chance.

Mrsspoon3 · 03/05/2023 19:52

@Eirlys1986 Haha 😂 Yeah I think odds are high I’ll get another one just like my little boy 😂

Mummyme87 · 03/05/2023 20:38

I thought second time I would definitely get a sleeper… I did until 12 weeks when he refused to sleep. Started sleeping through at about 2 1/2yrs I seem to recall. Why I want to torture myself with that sleep deprivation again is beyond me but there you go

TrudyProud · 03/05/2023 20:42

@VixFromThe6ix I wasn't sure but looked through this thread and think so. Hopefully the first of many sticky beans

Eirlys1986 · 03/05/2023 21:05

@Mummyme87 I feel the same! When I’m up with a screaming toddler sometimes several times a night still I just sit there boobing him back to sleep thinking “what in the hell are you doing?” 😂 . I just figure I can deal with a few years of complete chaos/ sleep hell to get to that end goal of a happy family unit……then puberty will come 🙄 😆

LeopardLover · 03/05/2023 21:15

@Eirlys1986 @Mrsspoon3 I want a pudding baby this time round!! 🤣 Having two min-sleepers would be bad luck. @Mummyme87 At least you had until 12 weeks I guess 😅

To be fair 2 is such a wonderful age! Really hard work but so rewarding too. I'm looking forward to enjoying the baby stage a bit more next time! I'm hoping we can get lots of "spontaneous" DTD in next cycle.

@VixFromThe6ix 6DPO is early days, you definitely aren't out yet! Fingers crossed there's lots of eggs in there. Bet you can't wait for the results already!

Mrsspoon3 · 03/05/2023 21:31

Haha yeah it’s a mystery why we do this to ourselves @Eirlys1986 @LeopardLover @Mummyme87 😂
To be fair mine is quite a good sleeper, albeit in my bed, and when the omeprazole is doing its job sorting his reflux, but he’s just such hard work in the daytime haha. It’s all worth it though isn’t it 😊 And I hear it gets easier …

Mrsspoon3 · 03/05/2023 21:34

Also the online Clearblue calculator tells me I can start testing on my opk tomorrow! I’m so excited even though it’s just an opk and not a pregnancy test haha. Feel like I’ve been waiting for ages to actually get started ttc and this is at last the first step!

Eirlys1986 · 03/05/2023 21:40

@Mrsspoon3 ahh I was really excited to start the OPK last week too! I will basically become excited by peeing on any stick

Eirlys1986 · 03/05/2023 21:42

@VixFromThe6ix good luck for all your results, I imagine this will feel like a long wait until you get them

Mummyme87 · 03/05/2023 21:50

@Mrsspoon3 who told you it got easier? 😂😂😂 they just get harder, always something else. I have an almost 9yr old who is just he most hormonal monster ever, and his 5yr old brother is a massive wind up. Gahhh they drive me mad. Give me a baby any day 😬😂☺️

FiddleLeaf · 03/05/2023 22:10

Hey ladies, I missed this new thread! No TTC news from me but we got engaged last week & I’m thrilled 🎉🎉

Just in our fertile window this month & we have an NHS appt at the end of the month to see if there are any other options before we go for private IVF.

Eirlys1986 · 03/05/2023 22:13

@FiddleLeaf congratulations! Wonderful news 🎉 💍 xx

Mirla · 03/05/2023 22:17

Had a super busy day with work yesterday and forgot to do an OPK, so I think I'm just going to assume I already ovulated and forget about it (hopefully for the entire TWW, haha).
Seems like quite a few of us are a couple of days post ovulation now. Fingers crossed for some excitement coming up soon then!

Mirla · 03/05/2023 22:18

@FiddleLeaf Congratulations!

FiddleLeaf · 03/05/2023 22:18

Thank you! It was a big surprise and I’m so happy 😊

Just caught up on the thread, congratulations @TrudyProud ! You’ve giving us all hope 🤞🏻 x

Sarahloudobby · 03/05/2023 22:28

@FiddleLeaf congratulations

TickingTui · 04/05/2023 00:14

@LeopardLover OMG those twins sound so chill! My son is high-energy so knowing my luck, it would just x3 lol. Good I'm not the only one with a clingy boy! Had him in the trolly yesterday and he kept insisting 'big cuddle!'. So we had to stop every half aisle to hug😂... Two other mum's looked very bemused

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 Same! Partner is not keen and I'm 37... Would love to move quickly and see it happen. But at cycle 7 of trying, right now I feel the same - would just be so grateful for No.2!

@Eirlys1986 @LeopardLover Yep my kiddo needs a sib too! We are also alergic to sitting here. If DS isn't excited by dinner, he'll be struggling and shouting 'all done!' the moment he's in the chair.

It'll no doubt be hard but he always gets excited seeing a baby So maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised but I'm prepared for chaos lol. I'll also be in the sleeping hell boat as I'm also still boobing back to sleep at 5 am pretty regularly @Eirlys1986 !

An Julia Donaldson deserves a medal IMO @Muriel84 - she's saved me from many a food and shopping meltdown😅

TrudyProud · 04/05/2023 04:37

Thank you and Congratulations @FiddleLeaf ! Awesome news.
