@Joonbug23 congrats! Hope it's a sticky bean, best of luck ❤️

TheBirdintheCave · 17/04/2023 09:25

@Joonbug23 Congratulations! :D

Hankthehonk · 17/04/2023 12:56

@Joonbug23 Huge congratulations and thank you so much for sharing! It makes me really happy to read stories like yours, partly for my own encouragement and hope, but also because I'm genuinely happy for you, knowing what you've been through. Sending good wishes for a healthy pregnancy

Daniki · 16/04/2023 21:03

@Ella31 it's hard when that comes around. I was due the 3rd April and found it very tough. We're you normally regular cycles before this? Might be worthwhile following up with GP/ EPU?

I was very regular. Should it have come back by now? It's been nearly 7 weeks.

Daniki · 17/04/2023 13:33

@Ella31 I'm no expert of course but 7 weeks seems long after a chemical. It could be completely normal but worthwhile mentioning to check all ok, takes the worry out too? Xx

buckingmad · 17/04/2023 15:22

@DHB how long are your cycles? I have a longer cycle so I don't ovulate until CD18. I've been testing since my period ended this month just because I had a miscarriage 2 months ago so my cycles are still a bit weird. Some people have a slow increase whereas others (me) have a quick surge. I literally go from a low reading to peak in 24 hours. Keep testing once a day!

DHB · 17/04/2023 18:35

@buckingmad They’re usually around 28-30 days but not a clue when I ovulate, this is my first month testing!

buckingmad · 17/04/2023 18:57

@DHB most people have a luteal phase (the time between ovulating and AF arriving) of 10-14 days so if you have a 28-30 day cycle you’re probably ovulating around cd14-16ish. So don’t worry that you’ve not got a higher reading yet, you’re still quite early in your cycle!

DHB · 17/04/2023 19:48

@buckingmad Thank you, I will keep testing once a day and hope it goes up :)

tulipsunday · 18/04/2023 14:55

Congrats @Joonbug23 ! Wonderful news. Do you mind me asking if the conceive plus is an external or internal application? Just debating what to try this month as have also had a lack of EWCM post miscarriages. Thanks.

Good luck everyone for this cycle. CD 12 and Ovulation tests starting to darken but not at high or peak yet according to premom app xx

Joonbug23 · 18/04/2023 17:03

Thank you so much @Hankthehonk - wishing lots of positivity and luck to you too!

@tulipsunday i used the pre-packed internal application tubes (I bought them from Amazon - a pack of 3).
I used them 2 days before, the day before, and day of ovulation (tracking with OPKs to identify rise and peak).
I was only going to use one on the day I got my peak, but thought sod it, let’s give it a real good go and used them each day haha!

I definitely found it helped with producing/mimicking ewcm for me!
Best of luck!😃

Ella31 · 18/04/2023 18:27

I'm beginning to worry a lot. Nearly every post I read who has had a chemical has either ovulated within a month and I'm going on 7 weeks with no ovulation or period. I am getting static smileys bit that's about it. I'm not pregnant either. Tests all negative.

TheBirdintheCave · 18/04/2023 19:19

@Ella31 Maybe try and arrange a scan at the EPU? I agree that seven weeks doesn't sound right for AF return.

MrsJGrealish · 18/04/2023 23:19

@Bubblesandballoons did you ever get your sticky blood results back? Xx

Bubblesandballoons · 19/04/2023 08:35

@MrsJGrealish hey, how are you doing?
They finally came back as no issue, which is as I thought, and now my consultant has decided it would be best to send me to another consultant who specialises in recurrent miscarriage 🤦🏼‍♀️, despite saying she’d do a hycosy next, so yet again more waiting around and not actually getting anything done. Been over a year and I’ve only had blood tests and an ultrasound that’s it… so frustrating. I hope you are fairing better xx

MrsJGrealish · 19/04/2023 11:56

@Bubblesandballoons well that's a big no from me. That's so frustrating. I was very much considering paying privately to see what they say but just holding back atm. Not ivf because I'm pretty sure my body won't like hormones but just answers, I seem to conceive ok they just never bloody stick ☹️ maybe like a fertility MOT? If such a thing exists xx

Bubblesandballoons · 19/04/2023 12:55

@MrsJGrealish i’ve looked into a private fertility not type thing over here, but just not sure I can justify the cost of it all, and if it’s all fine then I’ll just be annoyed 😂.
I know how you feel, it sucks seeing that positive only for it to disappear a few days later and have no idea why. Also fed up of the at least you have your son or your getting pregnant so that’s a positive sign comments 🤯. I’m stuck between desperately wanting another one, to not ever wanting to see that line as I can’t bare to watch it fade again xx

MrsJGrealish · 19/04/2023 13:15

@Bubblesandballoons it's a head melt for sure. It's literally my own fault for testing early. Also the annoying 'you fall pregnant after a chemical' is lies! Well not lies but still doesn't help them stick 🤯 Anyways I'm at the resigned stage of not ttc and giving my body a break while I try and come to terms with it all. DH is very much against private care but I've no doubt I could talk him round. Actually pretty glad of the break mentally and physically xx

MrsJGrealish · 19/04/2023 14:43

@Bubblesandballoons did you see the update char put on the thread? she's 38 weeks pregnant well maybe 39 now!!❤️

Bubblesandballoons · 19/04/2023 16:57

@MrsJGrealish I’ve tested on day of period last two times with strong positive only for it to fade, so I wouldn’t beat yourself up about testing early 💛. Hopefully the break will give you time to decide on what you want going forward. I’m considering a break but then the stupid thoughts creep in like what if I miss my one good egg 🤦🏼‍♀️.
No I didn’t get an update about char, wow can’t believe she’s about to give birth! Has it really been that long!

DHB · 20/04/2023 12:02

Anyone with Boots OPKs, does this look right? I’m CD13 but absolutely zero, after increasing to 0.1s yesterday and the day before. The pink looks like it’s run and the control line isn’t very dark either?

I dipped into a cup of wee, rather than weeing on the stick to avoid going past the max line. Left it for 5 seconds instead of 3, just because it hasn’t been picking up a dark control line so I thought maybe it hadn’t got enough urine?

This was left for around 5 minutes when I took the photo.

Met with Doctor and she doesn't seem concerned. She said if there's no sign in a month to come in again. I should add that I am getting flashy smileys, just no static.

TheBirdintheCave · 20/04/2023 15:14

@Ella31 Oh that's unhelpful :( Sorry she fobbed you off. I had an anovulatory cycle once which was 60 days long (essentially I skipped a cycle) so perhaps that's what's going on?

BudgetBuster · 20/04/2023 16:47

Hey everyone,
I have been MIA for a few weeks now getting my head sorted after another early miscarriage start of the month.

It feels strange being back here and considering OPKs and tracking again. My husband and I haven't really spoke about when we will try again. He did mention we will try one more time before going down the fertility clinic route but I was still in hospital feeling miserable at the time.

I do however have a consultation at the Early Miscarriage centre in my EPU next month so I think I might wait until after that to start trying again. Has anyone been to these appointments before?

Dinosaur39 · 20/04/2023 17:16

@Ella31 sorry to hear the hospital aren’t being particularly helpful! I found the same thing!
They love to say ‘leave it a month and see how you get on’ but if you went a month ago they would probably have to check it now so I’m pretty sure they just make up these timescales. I would really push for a scan if I was you, 7 weeks can be completely normal but it’s better to get checked out for peace of mind which in itself can help with a period!

I’m in my first TTC month (miscarriage in February but wasn’t trying for that pregnancy) I don’t think I’m in for much of a shot as it was low level trying this month and only DTD once on peak ovulation day. Yet all I can think about is this TWW!
Any tips of not spending every waking minute counting down until you can test!?
Anyone else around 2/3 DPO?

@BudgetBuster sorry to hear about an early miscarriage for you.
Please be kind to yourself and let yourself heal ☺️
I haven’t been to an appointment at the EPU before but I hope it goes well for you and you get some answers that you need.
How long have you been trying for?
