Well here we are again, day 1 of new cycle. It’s been over a year now (I’d ducked out of these threads for ages). Finally going to start with some private investigations. But not for a few weeks.

Anyone got any fun ideas for this month?

@Mrsrobinsonx Definitely on the way there. I would probably test later on today, apprently late afternoon is a good time for OPK testing, and definitely in my experience I have a very short peak so it may be gone by tomorrow.

this is why I’m glad I follow my body & use ovulation tests as my app is telling me to start testing in 2 days! So probably would have completely missed it if I did that. X

Hi all, came across this thread and I just wanted to pop on and let you all know my story. I have been TTC for 13 months. I had a chemical pregnancy last August. I used some ovulation tests this cycle and discovered that I was ovulating on CD 12. I usually have a 30 - 33 day cycle, and my Flo app always predicted ovulation on CD17. Anyways, we DTD on CD12 and I can confirm I am pregnant 🤰 I am so glad I didn't rely on my app this month. I am super nervous and I am experiencing cramps and lower abdomen pain. I am hoping this is a good sign, and praying that all goes well. Visiting my GP in the morning.

Congratulations to those with BFPs so far, much love and luck to those still trying.
I'm 36 TTC#1 with my OH (35), this is our 5th cycle trying. I'm on CD20 & 9DPO. Trying to hold out til Friday to test but my willpower will no doubt break. Had a couple of days feeling quite nauseous on 6&7 DPO and very tired today and yesterday but trying not to read too much into things.
The TWW has me so anxious and agitated every month, talking to my partner and he listens but he doesn't really get it. He wants this baby as much as I do but the biological pull (and clock!) isn't there the same way and despite my trying to explain he just doesn't grasp how slim and narrow our chances and windows really are.
Hope everyone is coping, just getting the words out feels so helpful! Xx

@Mrsrobinsonx hey love, I would defo test later today as you may find you ovulate overnight. Me and my friend both experience this and without evening testing we would both miss our ovulation positives! She has just given birth to a gorgeous baby boy so I trust that process hah! Even if you don’t get a positive later and do in the morning, at least you won’t miss it by testing later. Sending you lots of luck and looks like it’s DTD time 😃 I agree the app always puts me ovulating too early so I always trust the tests over the app! Xx

@MilkyAndFluffy yes I definitely will ☺️ my husband actually said this morning when we dtd ‘I think you’re ovulating’ because he now knows my body and signs as well as me 🤣
so will keep it up over the next few days 🤞🏻

Also welcome @NervousNoo you're one day behind me, and I am also going crazy symptom spotting but have managed to hold out testing so far... mainly because I dont have any in the house!! I have already convinced myself I am 100% pregnant though, I'm such an idiot!

@Natty83 @ukMummyof1 I’m joining you with AF arriving today. Tbh I’m not angry because I’m one month out of lap surgery where I had to have an ovary removed so I’m just so happy my one remaining ovary is working! The only time I’ll be happy to see AF. Hoping feb will be our month - I don’t trust OPKs so will just be going ham 😂

I’m joining the thread. TTC #1, I’m 10 DPO but have long 35 day cycles. Usually by this point I have very sore boobs, sometimes spotting 4 days before AF as well but this month so far absolutely nothing! Getting nervous my cycles are starting to be irregular as they had just settled into a pattern after stopping the pill.

A fellow lurker here. Ive never posted to one of these forums before but here goes.. currently 5dpo TTC #2. DD is 3.5 yrs and DH had testicular cancer in the intervening years so things have changed a bit. No concerns from his side of things but expecting it to take longer this time. We conceived DD on cycle 2. Had raging hyperemesis with her all the way through so this isnt something we’re entering into lightly.
Been using OPK along with sperm meets egg plan. Had a chemical preg last month so we must have done something right!
Today i’ve experienced mild cramping on and off, and sore boobs. Planning to test sunday (10dpo) 🤞🏼🤞🏼

Just got my peak ovulation test so that’s exciting. Although that means I’ll probably ovulate cd13 or maybe 14.. is that too early?
last couple of months it’s been around day 16 but guess my body is still adjusting.
I’m sure I read if you ovulate early it’s not good!🙈 X

@TunnocksTCake Oh I know. Keep feeling like something is different this month and then have to rein myself in and have a word! Hate getting my hopes up just for them to be dashed.

@Mrsrobinsonx I ovulate earlyish every month, usually get my peak on CD10 so presume ovulating CD11. Have only just recently discovered the info about early ovulation not being great. Most reliable sources I've checked say day 11 onwards is generally fine but before day 11 can be problematic. I expect (and hope) 13/14 will be fine for you as in the "normal" window, also hoping that just being on the cusp means I'm not too early and it'll happen for me. Fingers crossed!

Also joining late! Had a miscarriage end of November/early dec had a period early jan and fertile days were 6th-12th jan so really hoping for some good news over the next few days. During this stage last time I’m sure I had more symptoms already before my missed period but trying not to overthink.

@BambiBooBoo no the only thing that’s changed is a total lack of symptoms! Usually I would be spotting premenstrual with really sore boobs by now but I feel nothing! Only I’m really tired but last week was on my honeymoon so it’s my first proper week back at work after a long break.

@Lasereyes12 how strange. Maybe your lack of symptoms is a symptom?? 🤯

Hey @MilkyAndFluffy I caved and took a frer... Bfn so now Ill spend the day wallowing in disappointment. Gosh I hate this bit. It could change I guess but it's so disheartening when you see so many people get positives at this point, feel like I'm out already. Hope you have more luck than me!

Hi all, I have been lurking for a while as I'm on Cycle 7. I ovulated on CD8 (4th Jan) and I tested positive on Sunday after I'd missed my period by 2 days. I already have a little boy born in May 2020, and for that pregnancy I had loads of symptoms. For this one I've had nothing, other than continuous mild stomach cramps since last Thursday. I am a bit worried it's not a sticky bean, as my tests are not getting darker as the week goes on, and I have these stomach pains.

I loved my May 2020 bumpers group from Mumsnet so hopefully if this bean sticks around I can join an October one!

Wondering if anyone can help...I'm so confused. I usually ovulate day16/17 however I started testing yesterday and got a blank circle on clear blue and straight to static smiley today (CD11). I had a MMC in November and my period did come earlier last cycle but could miscarriage mess up cycles this much? Also have I missed my ovulation?

@Maxime34 oh I’m so sorry lovely, the disappointment it’s absolutely heart wrenching even when there’s still a chance, seeing that BFN is just devastating.

Sending you hugs today, try and keep focused on Fridays test as you may still even be implanting which can happen 10dpo and the hCG wouldn’t be produced yet! There is still hope, but I hate hate hate that feeling ARGH. 💝i have absolutely everything crossed for Friday for you

I’m very lucky I slept in for work this morning so I flew up and got sorted and then realised I hadnt test, chewing myself up now because I just want to know so think I’m gonna have to test in the morning instead of Friday (it’s killing me the wait). I feel like I ovulated months ago

Aw thank you, you're so lovely @MilkyAndFluffy trying to stay positive as you say there's still a chance. Wish I had more willpower as seeing negatives just make you feel so hopeless. Keep me posted if you do test tomorrow. Im keeping everything crossed xx

I did one yesterday too @Maxime34 and got bfn at 10dpo so feeling the same as you. App says I'm due tomorrow and I have got period cramps, just want it to come now so I can start again. Will be my first period since mmc so expecting it to be heavy and awful, cramps already feel far worse then precious cycles. Every month I look at expected due date it just feels further and further away and I'll be older :( feel so hopeless.

Haven't had my first period yet @ExcitedandNervousC1 so not sure. But I was ill one month and ovulated three days after period finished! Literally went straight to static smiley, have you taken any meds or anything different? I think that's why they keep saying dtd every other day and you're sure to catch it whatever your cycle does x

It's so rubbish isn't it @Enigma85 but I think 12/13 dpo is really when a line should be there is it's going to arrive so we've still got time. I've been really crampy too so not feeling too optimistic but it's just a waiting game now. Keep me posted and I'll keep my fingers crossed. I think I'm going to wait until Friday now as I think it'll just upset me if I get another negative tomorrow.
