Well here we are again, day 1 of new cycle. It’s been over a year now (I’d ducked out of these threads for ages). Finally going to start with some private investigations. But not for a few weeks.

Anyone got any fun ideas for this month?

Thanks @Enigma85 , I'll dtd tonight and tomorrow anyway so hopefully not too late

Just want to pass on a word of warning that I wish someone had given me, the first period after MMC can be quite painful so try and not plan too much and get some pain meds. Don't mean to make you nervous but it took me by surprise and I wish I had known as I thought something was wrong. Think of it as a great way of your body cleaning itself out again and getting ready for your BFP. Sending you all the best, MMC is the hardest thing I've gone through x

Sad to say I'm out this month ladies! Finally ovulated D18 after stopping the combined pill early January. Really frustrating but missed the fertile window as DP was poorly all week and then when we DTD on day after ovulation he couldn't produce the goods as he was so exhausted poor guy πŸ™ˆ Hoping AF turns up soon ( my first normal one in 12 years!) and then fingers crossed for next month. 3 weeks to my next fertile window seems soo long!

Good luck to you all!

Mrsrobinsonx · 25/01/2023 12:26

@Englishgirl9 hi! Stomach pains are not always a bad sign when pregnant or lack of symptoms as you’re early. However the fact tests aren’t getting darker would concern me a little, maybe chemical pregnancy or even ectopic? Everything may be absolutely fine so I wouldn’t worry, however I’d probably ask a doctor for advice so they can rule out any of the above early as possible. Good luck! X

Mrsrobinsonx · 25/01/2023 12:29

@ExcitedandNervousC1 they can definitely make your cycle longer/shorter yes, but ovulation day can change all the time even with a normal cycle. Mines usually around day 16 but this month I ovulated on day 13 so slightly earlier! X

Countrybean · 25/01/2023 13:18

6dpo today and I’ve had a really sharp β€˜take your breath away’ pain central and low.. lasted 1min ish..implantation?!? Or all in my head?? 🀯 has anyone else felt this!?

Englishgirl9 · 25/01/2023 15:37

Thanks @Mrsrobinsonx , I have emailed the GP to ask about HCG testing. They aren't super faint it's just that they aren't getting darker and I'm 20dpo now so expected a dye stealer.

Hello can I join? AF is due 6th feb and hopefully we’ve hit my ovulation window. Sorry I’m new to the abbreviations but I’m 35 planning #3 but will be first for my partner. Anyone TTC after HELLP or Pre - E in previous pregnancies?

Hummusanddipdip · 25/01/2023 18:25

@AlbaGracie oh I get that frustration! The knowing it's the day to do it and then one thing or another kills those plans.

I'm on CD5, according to Flo app my fertile window starts on the 31st with ovulation on

Hummusanddipdip · 25/01/2023 18:28

4th February CD15, sorry posted too soon.

I ordered some OPKs that will arrive on Saturday after @Natty83 comments, so will try those.

CinderRosie · 25/01/2023 19:08

This is the first TTC thread I have ever joined, eeek! I am CD4 today, first month potentially TTC. This would be DC2 for me, DH has no children. My first child is in their late teens now. If we were lucky enough to conceive this cycle, baby would be due 29th October - would be great if they came on the due date or a few days before but I would possibly have a November baby and we already have so many November birthdays in our family including my DC. I remember long dark and cold nights with a newborn not being much fun either but I’m 36 so can’t keep delaying TTC!

Wallowing in the TWW here, fingers crossed for all those testing!

In anticipation of being in it for long haul, I’d love to know peoples theories on whether DTD every day or every other day during the fertile window is better and if anyone is having fertility acupuncture? Apparently it’s it’s really good for making your phases the lengths they should be but who knows!

Me too- finding it so hard. The symptom spotting is driving me insane. Will be 7dpo tomorrow and planning to test on Sunday - might still be too early but we’ll see.
I’ve never tried acupuncture personally but heard lots of good things about it.
re DTD..we followed the sperm meets egg plan which involves a bit of both πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ

Hankthehonk · 25/01/2023 20:26

I guess I'm joining in as we're TTC baby #2 - I've never participated in TTC forums before as it was impossible to track cycles first time. Struggled with PCOS and very irregular cycles/hardly ever ovulating before having my first child and eventually got lucky.
I've been off the pill for 3 months now and really surprised that my periods have been regular as clockwork, so it's a new experience tracking and feeling like we're trying "normally". Still getting used to all the abbreviations!
CD9 here and potential due date of 24 Oct, according to Flo.

AlleycatMarie · 25/01/2023 21:09

Hi @MummyBear2519 I’m due af 2 days before you, keeping everything crossed. Ttc number 1 so no advice, but my sil was very unwell with HELLP in her pregnancy; I’m sorry you went through it too.

I have a big night out planned for a friends birthday on the 4th and really not sure what to do drinking wise!
Thank you was very poorly and my first was delivered 2 months premature, ddc2 I had zero problems with so hopeful that everything will be ok but prepared either way

AlleycatMarie · 26/01/2023 01:09

When do you plan to test @MummyBear2519? I’m terrible for testing really early; every month I tell myself I’ll wait but I can’t! I use the excuse it’s so that I know whether I can have a drink or not πŸ˜‚
Thats great that you were ok with your 2nd pregnancy. I think sil is too scared to try again after what happened.

AussieMum888 · 26/01/2023 07:21

Anyone else 7DPO or there about? Would love a testing buddy! I'm going to try hold off but I know come 10DPO I'm gonna want to test haha πŸ˜‚

Natty83 · 26/01/2023 07:35

@Hummusanddipdip my app is predicting the 3rd, cycle buddy πŸ₯°

Sophie3839 · 26/01/2023 08:18

Hi @AussieMum888 Think I’m on a similar timeline to you and 7dpo today and AF due 3rd feb. I have short cycles so not sure if that affects when you can test πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ
I was thinking to wait till 10dpo too :)

AussieMum888 · 26/01/2023 08:31

@Sophie3839 @Countrybean hey cycle buddies!! I think I'll test Sunday morning too!! Fingers crossed for you!

I got bloods taken CD21 this month to see what my progesterone is as I spot from 10DPO do will be good to hopefully get some answers there πŸ™‚

Sophie3839 · 26/01/2023 08:55

Me too! I bought some tests yesterday but really shouldn’t have any in!
got some cheapies and a clear blue that says up to 6 days before so could technically try it Sunday πŸ˜…

must not test yet… must not test yet haha

Countrybean · 26/01/2023 08:57

My AF is due on 31st Jan, so between ovulation and then is 12 days.. does that mean I can test sooner?! 🀞🏼

Sophie3839 · 26/01/2023 08:58

Definitely worth getting tested for progesterone :)
spotting is a nuisance cause you then can’t tell if it’s implantation bleeding or not 😩
do you have any symptoms? (I’m a terrible symptoms spotter)

Sophie3839 · 26/01/2023 09:01

I really don’t know πŸ˜… some tests are much more sensitive and claim to work up to6 days before a missed period but that could just be for people on longer cycles?! FRER are early I think but then a BFN can’t be trusted too early anyway so it can be a waste of a test :-/ I usually test 10dpo onwards
