Finally realised that our previous thread was full 🤣 I hope no one minds me starting up a new one!

Can you believe it's been almost a year since this was all started up?!

@krissy12 Spotting could definitely be implantation bleeding. I know, testing every day is stressful. Could you maybe do every other day, as I think that's when HCG levels double?

Tentative congrats @Welshgal85! Would definitely suggest trying another brand or waiting a couple of days.

I'm really sorry about how down you're feeling @SarahShorty. I wish there was something I could say to make it easier, but I know it doesn't get any harder than this. Sending best thoughts to you.

@Houseelf90 Sorry you had a reduced movements scare - we've had a few and it's terrifying. Thanks for asking after me - still pregnant but they're not happy with growth as she's dropping centiles and her femur growth has tailed right off. Meawhile her head is on 95th centile, so potential dwarfism has been flagged. They're currently ok with me carrying on till my due date but have booked in a c-section for shortly after that as they don't want me going any further than that. I'm hoping to do it naturally but obviously whatever is best for baby. Trying to stay positive, and of course counting our blessings, but it's all a bit uncertain and unknown, and quite anxiety-inducing.

krissy12 · 13/07/2023 12:44

@Welshgal85 I know I don't even know why I am doing it especially after I had my mmc I tested when I got home and was still getting dye stealers so I know it doesn't make a difference

Houseelf90 · 13/07/2023 12:49

@DesertSnow pleased to hear baby is still safely tucked up inside! I always say baby will decide how and when they appear but it’s good they won’t let you go over, fingers crossed you get your natural delivery 🤞🏼 how long have you got left now?
They are such a worry aren’t they and the TTC anxiety certainly carries on once you conceive, and beyond birth I would imagine!

DesertSnow · 13/07/2023 12:58

@Houseelf90 Yes, when my midwife said she would talk about my birth plan I said that the baby is the one with the plan really. I'm 37+5 today, so not long to go whether it's natural or c-section. I suspect it will be the latter but you never know.

Houseelf90 · 13/07/2023 13:53

@DesertSnow thats exactly what I said to the anaesthetist when discussing birth plans! Oh wow not long at all now then!!! Good Luck 😁💕

krissy12 · 13/07/2023 16:08

@DesertSnow I would discuss your preferences with them and do your own research
I was told after my little boy I would need a section and consultant review next pregnancy because I had a 3rd degree tear which required immediate surgery however I recovered very well from it and I have a fear of a section. I have done lots of research and there is no reason why I can't have a natural birth again and I will push for it this time if all goes well.
however obviously this is just my experience opt for what you think is best just if you have a preferred option then have a look at risks and benefits yourself before your appointment as I found that they were quite pushy with me for a section next time

DesertSnow · 13/07/2023 16:47

@Houseelf90 Thank you!

@krissy12 I discussed it with my consultant and he said they would need to either induce or section at 41 weeks latest (possibly before depending on how stable things look), and that induction could put more stress on baby and what is already a sub-par blood flow situation, and of course would take more time and might mean she stays in for longer than he recommends. I would definitely prefer a natural birth, but weighing up the risks I would take section over induction and any extra pressure on baby. Just keeping fingers crossed it happens on its own before then but I know first babies are often late so not counting on it. Definitely important to do your own research though, as you say, and not just rely on being pushed towards an option.

krissy12 · 13/07/2023 17:45

yeah definitely i think I would also opt for a section over an induction everyone I know who has had an induction has ended up needing a section anyway so would rather it be planned
I swore by raspberry leaf tea tablets to bring on labour / dilate quicker

DesertSnow · 13/07/2023 22:47

@krissy12 Yes, that's also a good point about induction making interventions including a section more likely. Would rather have it all planned than need an emergency (wouldn't everyone), and I don't want to be in the induction process for days tiring myself out when I'm about to get a baby to look after! I'm not keen on raspberry leaf tea after reading about it on Tommys - think I would have needed to start earlier anyway. I'm eating dates (which I can't stand) and am trying to hobble about as much as possible with my PGP, but other than that I think I'll let nature take its course and see if baby wants to come before the eviction date.

Welshgal85 · 13/07/2023 23:30

I’ve had cramps today and more bleeding, starting to look like really light period. Could it be a chemical or any chance of implantation?

krissy12 · 14/07/2023 06:04

@Welshgal85 I'm not sure I guess it will depend of the bleeding gets heavier or not. keeping everything crossed for you it's implantation

Welshgal85 · 14/07/2023 10:45

Thanks @krissy12 it’s got a lot worse overnight, just like a normal period now 😢

SarahShorty · 14/07/2023 10:45

@Welshgal85 I'm so sorry 😔

SarahShorty · 14/07/2023 11:16

CD21 today. My boobs are mega sore today, so I've definitely ovulated. We DTD'd CD18,19 and 20. With a sperm concentration of 11million per millilitre, I'm not holding my breath.

krissy12 · 14/07/2023 11:47

@Welshgal85 so sorry 💔

@SarahShorty fingers crossed for you

Houseelf90 · 14/07/2023 13:05

Sorry to hear that @Welshgal85 😔

Fingers crossed @SarahShorty 🤞🏼

DesertSnow · 14/07/2023 19:23

Really sorry to hear @Welshgal85.

Fingers crossed for you @SarahShorty.

Welshgal85 · 14/07/2023 20:23

Thanks everyone, feeling really rubbish. Hoping I’ll feel a bit better tomorrow. I’m not sure what to do about tracking my cycle now…Should I just count AF as starting last night?

Welshgal85 · 14/07/2023 20:25

Fingers crossed for you @SarahShorty 🤞🏻❤️

LucyLoopyLu · 15/07/2023 12:10

@Welshgal85 I'm so sorry to hear your news. Hope you are OK. I think full day of proper flow should be CD1 but I'm no expert x sending you lots of good thoughts x

@SarahShorty good luck 💙

LucyLoopyLu · 15/07/2023 12:12

@krissy12 how are you doing this weekend? Totally understand what you said about this being the last time, sometimes you just need to draw a line under something and move on. And you have your lovely DS to focus on too. But wishing you all the best this time! X

krissy12 · 15/07/2023 12:59

@LucyLoopyLu thank you! yeah I'm doing okay thanks just trying to take each day as it comes and try not to stress too much 🙈 how are you?

LucyLoopyLu · 15/07/2023 16:23

@krissy12 yeah I'm OK thanks, fertile window starting soon so back to DTD this weekend. I splashed out on a fancy clear blue digital ovulation kit as it was half price on amazon so using that this month. I'm not expecting it will make any difference as I think we have been covering the right days using the cheap strips but I thought it was worth a go.

My OH has had his doctors appointment. Volume, sperm count and motility was good / high but morphology was 3% so slightly below what they say is normal (is it 4% and over?). But doesn't seem too bad. As he has a high volume and count he has a higher baseline for the 3% so I don't think it is too concerning. Also he was in normal range at last test in October so I don't think it's a persistent issue.

Waiting on my hertility results which I hope will be coming soon and the sample was OK. Booked my day 21 progesterone test and hoping they get a vein this time 😢 I don't want them to take it from my hand but I guess if needs be I will have to do it. My husband is going to drive me this time and I've booked for the afternoon rather than the morning so I can drink lots of water and hopefully be more hydrated.

krissy12 · 16/07/2023 09:06

@LucyLoopyLu that's good your DHs tests went okay
hopefully you get yours back soon and can make a plan

HeathenPlayingHouse · 17/07/2023 16:27

So sorry @Welshgal85 ❤️

CD2 for me, and I had my follow up telephone appointment with the Gynae consultant today.

In all honesty, it felt a bit pointless since she didn't tell me anything I didn't already know, and it felt like she'd barely read my file anyway. She started the call by saying that my blood tests from a year ago showed that I had PCOS- considering that I was diagnosed with it 6-7 years ago, I'd be surprised if they didn't!

Still, she was happy with the progress I've had so far and suggested maybe doing CD21 bloods at some point in the future. I'm just trying to get on with things myself, seeing as that's what worked for me last time.

Hope everyone is well x
