Finally realised that our previous thread was full 🤣 I hope no one minds me starting up a new one!

Can you believe it's been almost a year since this was all started up?!

@HeathenPlayingHouse that sounds frustrating! How long will you try for until you go back for another appointment? Are you still getting all the prescriptions etc that you need?

krissy12 · 18/07/2023 19:04

@LucyLoopyLu have you had any of your results back yet?

how are you doing @Welshgal85

Welshgal85 · 18/07/2023 20:12

@krissy12 I’m okay, it’s been a rough few days. Had really heavy AF and felt awful but okay now. Did a test yesterday (wishful thinking I guess!) and of course it was negative. On to the next cycle I guess!

How have you been feeling?

krissy12 · 18/07/2023 20:55

@Welshgal85 it's such a shit time glad your feeling a little better though

awe I'm okay had a little bit of spotting today and panicked a bit so phoned epu to try get a scan next week but they want to scan me tomorrow because by my lmp I will be 6 weeks but I think I'm only 5 because I have longer cycles but they want to check because I'll probably need progesterone so just all a bit of a stress

LucyLoopyLu · 20/07/2023 21:08

Hi all
I got my hertility results through.
Everything was in range except for high testosterone.
Obviously I've been googling but not sure what to think. I have bad hormonal acne so it doesn't surprise me, but when I had the ultrasound they said everything looked fine. So don't know if I have pcos or not.
I am fairly sure I'm ovulating but maybe eggs are just poor quality. Not sure what to do really

krissy12 · 21/07/2023 11:04

@LucyLoopyLu can you go to your GP with the results before I got pregnant with my 1st the GP referred me to the assisted fertility clinic for more tests and support maybe this is a route you could try?

LucyLoopyLu · 21/07/2023 13:40

@krissy12 hi, yes I'm hoping the GP can take them on board and then even if the NHS want to do their own tests it at least might move us faster.
I've still got to get my day 21 progesterone next Friday then I imagine it will be on to the next.

I am a bit stressed about it. I don't want to be stuck in a half way house with no treatment plan

krissy12 · 21/07/2023 14:13

@LucyLoopyLu I would push to be referred I got referred after my day 21 test I think GPs are limited in what investigations they can do after basic blood tests and so should hopefully refer you on then

LucyLoopyLu · 21/07/2023 15:12

@krissy12 thanks lovely

How are you doing?

krissy12 · 21/07/2023 15:57

@LucyLoopyLu I'm okay thanks trying not to be too stressed out. had a scan on Wednesday and measured 5 weeks but no heartbeat yet so back again in 2 weeks. have also been started on progesterone so hopefully that helps

LucyLoopyLu · 21/07/2023 17:14

@krissy12 really hoping for the best for you. 5 weeks is still too early to see a heartbeat isn't it? Hope you are doing OK and not feeling too anxious x

SarahShorty · 21/07/2023 17:21

A heartbeat can be heard from roughly 6 - 8 weeks.

krissy12 · 21/07/2023 17:36

@LucyLoopyLu yeah it's too early so not too concerned about that. I seen it last time at 6 weeks but back at epu at 7 weeks so should see then hopefully.
I only had the scan so early because they wanted to check everything was in the right place to start progesterone

LucyLoopyLu · 23/07/2023 16:56

@krissy12 makes sense, I totally understand why anyone would want an early scan tbh, 12 weeks seems like a long time.

I have no updates. Fertile window is over although feels a bit pointless now. Waiting for blood test Friday. Feel a bit down in the dumps.

How is everyone else doing? Any updates?
@HeathenPlayingHouse @Dreamingof3 @WingingIt09 @Welshgal85 @DesertSnow @Houseelf90 @PinkButtercups @BethSuz27

I know many of you have graduated from TTC so not on here anymore but don't want to go poking around the pregnancy / newborn boards for obvious reasons x

Houseelf90 · 23/07/2023 17:15

@LucyLoopyLu bless you, it will happen when you least expect it. My brother and his other half were trying over 3 years, gave up hope and she is now pregnant. I’ll keep everything crossed for your upcoming tests!!
I will be 31 weeks tomorrow, had a couple of weeks where it felt like I was spending loads of time in hospital for various appointments and monitoring for reduced movements, and then I’ve had covid this week but seem to be on the mend and thankfully it doesn’t seem to have affected baby, they’re still moving well anyway! I have my next scan early august to check my placenta has moved out of the way!

@krissy12 good luck for your next scan 💕

PinkButtercups · 23/07/2023 21:30

@LucyLoopyLu sorry to hear you're feeling down. Hope you can start to feel happier soon.

The twins are 7 months now.
They're discovering that if one has something the other definitely needs that item too! 🤣.
My friend recently had twins and I felt quite broody 🥹.
Eldest DS is now on summer holidays before starting Year R in September 🥹.

PinkButtercups · 23/07/2023 21:33

I pop on MN sometimes to look at this thread. Although I'm not longer TTC or pregnant anymore it's nice to see all your updates as you were all there from the beginning of my TTC Journey, pregnancy journey and birth.

Please tag me in the new thread when you make one if that's okay as I'd love to still see your updates x

PinkButtercups · 23/07/2023 21:34

Also I told you lot first I was having twins along with my family 🙊. Didn't tell anyone else until after my 12 week scan.

bananatoast321 · 24/07/2023 06:31

@LucyLoopyLu I’m sorry to hear you’re feeling at your tether end of it all, I hope the GP helps you get some answers. Have you thought about checking your cortisol levels? I’m not sure if there’s a link between them and testosterone! In the 3 months before we conceived I was taking Inositol and ashwaghana as well as trying to get my body moving more and I believe these helped us!

I come on here to see how you’re all doing but I never say anything anymore as I know how hard it is for you all still TTC and don’t like to show I’m on the other side now. I really hope you all get your positives soon and you’re happy ever afters in baby form!

I’m 21 weeks now… it’s flown by! Had our 20 week scan but have to go back as she was not playing ball to be in a position for all to be checked on and wouldn’t move despite me jumping around! (And yes it’s a girl!). We have a feeling she will like to sleep whilst we move around so preparing for that! I get nervous now and again that something bad will happen but taking each day as it comes and not counting my blessings until she’s in my arms!

krissy12 · 24/07/2023 10:52

@LucyLoopyLu hopefully your blood test on Friday goes okay? and you can get a plan after this

HeathenPlayingHouse · 24/07/2023 12:47

@LucyLoopyLu Hope you're doing ok ❤️

Not much change for me at the minute, CD9 today. The consultant was happy for me to continue taking Metformin, and I'll keep taking the supplements I buy myself.

Today was week 3 weigh in for my low carb/Keto plan, and I've lost 12lbs in total, so I'm pretty happy with that. Just trying to plan the best way to keep up with TTC over the summer holidays- we're both usually knackered by the end of the day, so we've been taking advantage of my lunch breaks when WFH. But now that school is out, we don't get that time to ourselves 😂

Hope everyone is well x

LucyLoopyLu · 24/07/2023 21:52

@Houself90 - thank you lovely 💚 glad you're doing well. 31 weeks! Time has absolutely flown by. Sorry to hear you've had covid, hope you weren't too poorly. Glad they are keeping an eye on you and bump anyway. What is the likelihood the placenta has moved? Will keep my fingers crossed for you.

@PinkButtercups aw, nice to hear back from you. 7 months is a lovely age, hope you are still all doing well. Funny that your friend had twins too! I will tag you in the new thread if we ever get there, it's on a go slow now

@bananatoast123 oh hey 🖐 glad to see you still here. I don't think your name came up when I was going through the list getting people? I haven't thought about cortisol but I have thought about the diabetes long-term blood test. Need to have a proper think.
I know I can't speak for everyone but I still like hearing people's updates. Makes a change from being still at square one here! Congrats on the little girl! How lovely. Hope she is better behaved on the next scan 🤣 and they can check everything

@krissy12 thanks lovely, I need all the luck I can get. Last time it was awful and it's not good on top of a needle phobia. Absolutely dreading it, just hoping they can get it done quickly this time instead of turning me into a pin cushion with no results

@HeathenPlayingHouse hi, so nice to hear your update even if not much has changed. Feel like I'm going round the bend sometimes! 12lbs is brilliant, well done you! It's hard to keep on top of schedules isn't it, fertile window seems to roll around quickly every time and it's tiring!

Houseelf90 · 24/07/2023 22:43

@LucyLoopyLu thank you! They said in most cases it does move out the way - mine was 1cm from the cervix at my 20 week scan and it needs to be minimum of 2.5cm away!
You probably already know this so apologies if I’m giving useless information, but my veins used to be terrible for getting blood out of and like you they would have to try different places and couldn’t always get any blood - I never used to drink very much water and didn’t realise that being dehydrated didn’t help! So now I try to drink lots of water/squash the night before and just before I go and since this I haven’t had any problems - like I say you probably already know but I thought it was worth a mention incase it helps!!

Dreamingof3 · 26/07/2023 13:19

@LucyLoopyLu I'm sorry youre feeling rubbish, I'm really hoping you get some good news 🤞
Thanks for thinking of me! Calla is now 4 months old 😭 our wedding is a month away and we're being kicked out of our house 🙄 so a bit of a stressful time haha. But I can't massively complain, healthy children and everything else can be sorted 😬

DesertSnow · 27/07/2023 15:04

@LucyLoopyLu Thanks for asking after me. Two days to go until due date now. I'm booked in for a section in 12 days if baby doesn't make her own way before that.

I had a fetal MRI this week which was intense, but haven't had the results yet.

Hope your test goes ok tomorrow. I saw you mentioned you weren't sure about your egg quality, have you looked into taking anything like COQ10? Some people swear by it, and I've no idea if it made a difference for me but I was taking it when I conceived.
