Finally realised that our previous thread was full 🤣 I hope no one minds me starting up a new one!

Can you believe it's been almost a year since this was all started up?!

@Houseelf90 28 weeks! Wow that has flown by. Really pleased for you.

@DesertSnow 🩷🩷🩷 you totally deserve to have your own happiness, and 100% understand that just because you're pregnant it doesn't mean you're not allowed to have worries or find it difficult at times. The BFP is just the first hurdle isn't it

Unfortunately AF got me this morning. Cycle 14 🌧
I'm just glad it's Friday, it's been a tough work week and I've got a quiet day today just getting on with my to do list. Ready for a break this weekend

SarahShorty · 07/07/2023 11:39

@LucyLoopyLu I feel your pain. It's been 18 months for me. It's shit. Treat yourself today and go easy on yourself xx

krissy12 · 07/07/2023 15:27

@DesertSnow and @Houseelf90 can't believe how quick your pregnancies have gone

@LucyLoopyLu sorry AF showed up it is shit

Welshgal85 · 07/07/2023 18:13

Eurghh…AF is due and I’m getting my usual stomach ache I usually get a day or so before. So feeling a bit rubbish today. Hopefully it won’t come!

Off out with the girls tonight so will have a few wines and try to forget about it but then got a friends kids birthday tomorrow but really don’t feel like going…

Houseelf90 · 07/07/2023 21:03

@LucyLoopyLu sorry to hear AF arrived, and sorry you think yours is on the way @Welshgal85 😔

@krissy12 and @LucyLoopyLu its crazy, the weeks are going by so so quickly!

krissy12 · 08/07/2023 09:20

Hi girls in my phone I'm not sure who else to turn to I'm having a bit of a dilemma this morning
I decided to poas as I have developed an addiction to this just now but decided to use a first response test as I had a couple of symptoms (could or couldn't be pregnancy related). although faint definitely got a BFP ! so decided to check on a strip test which are the highly sensitive ones and I have used before and had accurate results BFN not even a squinter. so after a Google it seems first response are notorious for false positives so I'm stuck on what to do I will keep testing but now a bit unsure on reliability of the tests

Preparing to TTC in 2022 part....7?!
LucyLoopyLu · 08/07/2023 09:26

@krissy12 first response definitely looks positive! Are you going go test again with FMU? I thought the FRERs were good? I've never had any BFP so not the expert

LucyLoopyLu · 08/07/2023 09:27

@krissy12 how many DPO do you think you are? X

krissy12 · 08/07/2023 09:50

I thought they were good aswell but I looked up reviews this morning and there is lots of people saying they had false positives. I'm not sure tbh I'm on CD31 but I don't have regular periods and tbh this is quite early for me to get a positive with my ds I was about cd 50 something and with my miscarriage it was cd 60 something and for both I was only a few weeks gone at those dates I normally start testing from about day 25

DesertSnow · 08/07/2023 17:22

@LucyLoopyLu Really sorry AF arrived, I hope you are able to do something nice for yourself this weekend and give yourself a break.

@Welshgal85 Really hope AF stays away.

@krissy12 looks postive to me - afraid I don't know about test accuracy, I only used cheapies. Maybe test again tomorrow with FMU?

LucyLoopyLu · 08/07/2023 18:19

Thanks all for your commiserations. I've had a quiet day today but done some cleaning around the house so it feels nice and fresh.

@krissy12 I'd be more inclined to think that a positive is a positive and the cheapy test is not as sensitive. Nothing to do except keep testing I guess. But I wonder if some people who have an apparent false positive actually have a chemical? I don't know, just speculating.
Hope you're doing OK. Will keep my fingers crossed for you 🤞

Hoping my hertility sample goes better tomorrow than last time 🤞

krissy12 · 08/07/2023 18:49

thank you everyone

hopefully your test goes better tomorrow @LucyLoopyLu maybe try wearing gloves before you test it's easier to get blood if your hand is warm if it's a finger prick test they rub patients hands in my work to warm them up if they struggle to get blood when testing blood sugars

LucyLoopyLu · 08/07/2023 19:11

@krissy12 thanks lovely. Last time I put my hand in a bowl of warm water for 10 mins beforehand (it says so in the instructions). I'm going to do it straight after a warm shower this time, hopefully it will work better if I'm properly warm all over!

krissy12 · 08/07/2023 19:58

@LucyLoopyLu fingers crossed it helps could your OH try do it for you to

Houseelf90 · 08/07/2023 20:38

@krissy12 that looks like a positive to me! And I’m actually half convinced I can see something on the cheapy! When will you test again? 🤞🏼💕

krissy12 · 08/07/2023 21:26

@Houseelf90 thanks I will try again in the morning I think

Houseelf90 · 08/07/2023 21:44

@krissy12 good luck and keep us updated!

LucyLoopyLu · 09/07/2023 18:41

@krissy12 good luck for your test tomorrow. Really hoping for a BFP for you, but I do think the FRER was a positive x

I managed to get the test done! Had to prick 4 fingers to get enough blood in the tube but it was a lot easier than last time. My left hand is apparently much better than my right 🤣 I'll start there if I do it again, but I'm left handed so automatically started with the right hand. Obviously as I'm a pessimist I still think there will be something wrong with the test but I really hope it will be OK this time!
Fingers crossed my next appointment with the dreaded GP blood test will also go better

krissy12 · 09/07/2023 22:28

@LucyLoopyLu thank you and so glad your blood test went better than last time hopefully you'll get some answers soon

HeathenPlayingHouse · 10/07/2023 13:30

@krissy12 The FRER definitely looked positive! Good luck for the next test!

Just popping in to say hello really, nothing much happening on our end. We're meant to be trying but OH hasn't really been in the mood since he's been tiring himself out with DIY. I'm not too worried though, hopefully it's just a short term thing.

In the meantime, I got myself back on Keto this last week and lost 6lbs 🎉 I've got a long, long way to go to hit a final goal of any kind, but my more immediate goal is to lose 3 stone, as that was my weight when I got pregnant with DS. So I'm 7th of the way there! 😂

Hope everyone is well x

DesertSnow · 10/07/2023 22:10

@LucyLoopyLu glad you managed to get the test done, well done! Hope you get a plan of action in place soon.

@krissy12 any update?

krissy12 · 11/07/2023 12:47

@DesertSnow so I've had a positive on a strip test yesterday and 1-2 weeks on a clearblue digital but had some spotting today so not feeling very hopeful

SarahShorty · 11/07/2023 13:43

@krissy12 tentative congratulations xx

Houseelf90 · 11/07/2023 17:18

@krissy12 keeping everything crossed for you 💕

krissy12 · 11/07/2023 19:06

@SarahShorty & @Houseelf90 thank you so much got a stronger positive today so not sure what's going on
