@HeathenPlayingHouse it must be so difficult with such long cycles!!

@BethSuz27 sorry to hear you’ve been having a tough time. Do you think the stresses of TTC contributed to you splitting up? Massive congratulations on your BFP!! I hope you still get lots of support from your (ex) partner through your pregnancy 💕

BethSuz27 · 22/05/2023 13:02

@Houseelf90 we had stress with having to move out and things too but no he just turned around and said he didn’t want kids anymore and obviously with me wanting them so bad it wasn’t going to work.

and now this has happened, I’m happy but struggling

Houseelf90 · 22/05/2023 13:24

@BethSuz27 bless you, men can be really shitty can’t they!!! I guess he decided a little too late that he didn’t want a child!! Take some time to look after yourself, you must have so many emotions going through your head! Have you told him?

BethSuz27 · 22/05/2023 14:20

@Houseelf90 not yet, I’m going to tell him tonight I think

Houseelf90 · 22/05/2023 14:33

@BethSuz27 good luck 💕

PinkButtercups · 23/05/2023 14:23

@BethSuz27 Congratulations!

Sorry to hear about your relationship. Just know you can do it on your own if need be. Always a message away x

Bananatoast123 · 24/05/2023 08:48

Hey thought I’d check in!

@DesertSnow really sorry you’re in an unknown period on your little one! I’m keeping my fingers crossed that your baby is healthy but just a little smaller!

@BethSuz27 congrats! Sounds like you’re being really strong and you’ll be an amazing mama!

so I’m 12 weeks today! Where has the time gone?! All good so far in terms of symptoms but got my dating scan on Friday morning and I’m nervous!! I think as everything has been so good so far I’m scared like something bad will come up!

also any current pregnant or already mamas… I feel like my stomach has ballooned! Not gained any weight anywhere else and I’m like a size 8/10 and was very active! Can’t shake the stomach and bloat that has grown on me!! Please tell me it’s not too early for 12 weeks for this!! I’m like can I wear this dress or do I just look fat 😂

DesertSnow · 24/05/2023 09:09

@PinkButtercups Thanks for sharing. I'm 30+4 now and counting every day as a bonus. I know as long as there are no serious health issues, if she came now it might not be straightforward, but her overall chance of survival is good. I've DM'd you my Instagram, do share yours too 😊Nice to put faces to usernames.

@SarahShorty I'm so sorry you're finding it so tough. I feel incredibly lucky to be pregnant, but with all the current worries about the baby and will she make it or will she have some kind of disability, I empathise with you about it being hard around happy young families. Sending love.

@Welshgal85 It is hard when it feels everyone around you is getting pregnant, and frustrating if your DP feels a bit more relaxed about it. But they say every 2-3 days is enough, and you only need that one lucky swimmer.

@BethSuz27 I'm so sorry to hear about your relationship, but congrats on the BFP, fantastic! Did you tell him yet? Hope all ok.

@Bananatoast123 Very normal to be nervous before dating scan - before mine I kept thinking there wasn't going to be a baby in there and they'd laugh at me. Also totally normal to have a lot of bloating at that stage!

Thanks everyone for kind thoughts. Having a bit of a difficult week with it. Sunday night had to go in for monitoring due to reduced movements. They said it was ok but weren't totally happy and asked me to either stay in overnight or come back in first thing in the morning, so was back in Monday morning. Then yesterday they called up and asked me to come in for a doppler to check blood flow with placenta. It's holding up so far but they're going to check again next week. So it's really a case of keeping an eye and if it looks like placenta is failing they need to get her out. Feels hard to concentrate on work and it's difficult when everyone expects me to just be all things happy and they don't know what's going on.

Houseelf90 · 24/05/2023 12:03

@Bananatoast123 I had so much bloating from 9/10 weeks and was definitely visible by 12 weeks! The bloat never really disappeared and just turned into bump. I think by 16weeks ish it was more bump shaped, and now at 22 weeks it’s an obvious bump!

@DesertSnow wow I can’t believe you’re 30+4! Getting so close!! Sorry to hear that you’ve had some problems with movement but great that you’re being monitored! Hopefully it’ll all resolve itself and baby can stay tucked up safe for a bit longer yet!

krissy12 · 29/05/2023 19:58

how is everyone doing? I've nothing to report CD38 and no AF or BFP

Welshgal85 · 29/05/2023 20:13

Not much to report either. 10 days until AF so waiting to see what happens 🤞🏻

I’ve had quite a lot of lower stomach and pelvic pain this weekend so not sure what that’s about. Only usually get it when AF is here

Hellsbells89 · 04/06/2023 22:59

Hey all sorry been vacant again! Anyway I'm excited to update that I'm now 4 weeks for my first positive at 9 DPO. I've been so tired I've pretty much been having to nap most afternoons if I can! Not easy with a toddler. Nausea started to kick in this afternoon so it's all starting to feel very real now!

LucyLoopyLu · 05/06/2023 20:45

@Hellsbells89 congrats! Did you do anything differently this time?

I'm about 12dpo, expecting AF on Thursday. I've ordered a Hertility hormone testing kit (v expensive but tests quite a few different hormones on day 3). I've also booked a GP appointment for Tuesday to get things moving as this is cycle 12.

Feel like I have a good chance this month from timing of DTD and more EWCM than normal, but I've been optimistic before so not letting myself get my hopes up anymore.

Work is very busy and a bit stressful at the moment. Lots of drama. It's good to be busy but I feel really tired!

LucyLoopyLu · 05/06/2023 20:47

Forgot to say, you have to pay for the full panel of testing with Hertility when you order the kit, and have to order it in advance so you have it ready for day 3. But if you get pregnant in the mean time you can cancel and only the charge for the kit is non-refundable, so that's not too bad.
I'll take being down £25 if I end up getting a BFP.

LucyLoopyLu · 05/06/2023 20:48

@Welshgal85 @krissy12
How are you guys doing?

krissy12 · 05/06/2023 20:55

congratulations @Hellsbells89

I'm doing ok thanks @LucyLoopyLu not much to report. the hertility test sounds good I'll look into it.
I'm CD45 and had spotting for 4 days now but not actual AF so no idea what's going on but I've convinced myself I've got low progesterone so keen to get further tests.
I'm also looking into the conceive plus supplements aswell.
work is also busy but a good distraction

LucyLoopyLu · 05/06/2023 21:02

@krissy12 have you tested? Day 45 sounds like a right nightmare, I think I'd just want it to be a new cycle if i was you. Hope you're doing OK with it.

I'm not sure if the hertility tests are any good, it is a lot of money but hopefully will be fairly accurate. I've added on the consultation as well afterwards. Not expecting the GP to be that useful, and thinking there will be a big wait for a referral, so thought it might give me a bit of peace of mind to get some hormone testing. I'll let people on here know how it goes. I expect if I get a weird result for anything I will take the report to the GP and push for a follow up test / second opinion.

krissy12 · 05/06/2023 21:06

yeah BFN today. 45 days isnt unusual for me but the spotting is.
I think it's a good idea to get the ball rolling pre covid I was referred to the assisted fertility clinic by my GP and only waited 3 months for an appointment although I miraculously ended up pregnant and cancelled it. But the waiting times are so much longer post covid so it's good your getting a head start on the tests
