Finally realised that our previous thread was full 🤣 I hope no one minds me starting up a new one!

Can you believe it's been almost a year since this was all started up?!

@Mumof1hopingfor2nd thank you! That’s super exciting 🤍 it looks like we are going to be due days apart!!

@Dreamingof3 thank you!!! Oh god! I’m too much of a type A to do that 😂 I do feel the pressure now that I’ll be post partum when I have to go shopping!!

DesertSnow · 15/04/2023 22:55

@Bananatoast123 amazing, congratulations on the engagement! I wouldn't worry too much about the dress for now, just try to enjoy this bit (nerve-wracking though I know it is).

I'm 25 weeks now and can hardly believe it.

Hope everyone's doing ok.

SarahShorty · 17/04/2023 09:26

Wow there are lots of happy things happening here! A very lucky thread indeed! A quick update: since I've now had three very early miscarriages, my consultant has order a couple of blood tests to check for blood clotting disorders and immune system issues. I do recall that deficiencies and blood clotting can be an issue for people who've either suffered from anorexia or were starved and neglected when they were young, my case is the latter. But if there are medications I can have to fix it, then I at least have something to go on.

krissy12 · 17/04/2023 22:33

@SarahShorty I have heard some success stories from people taking baby aspirin if they have clotting issues

I'm CD66 post mmc no AF or BFP so feel a bit stuck in limbo

DesertSnow · 18/04/2023 08:26

@SarahShorty I'm glad they've ordered tests - as you say if there are medications that might help, that's something to go on.

@krissy12 that does sound ilke a difficut place to be in, be gentle with yourself. I know it can take a while for your cycle to return to normal after a miscarriage. Fingers crossed you get your BFP soon, or at least if not, AF shows up so you know where youre at. Are you checking for ovulation?

krissy12 · 18/04/2023 12:36

@DesertSnow no I find it too stressful I normally have long cycles and I've never had a positive opk even the cycles when I have got pregnant so I've stopped testing and just dtd every 2-3 days

DesertSnow · 18/04/2023 20:14

@krissy12 ah yes fair enough, it's very easy to get stressed about. Sounds like you're covering yourself with DTD often. I very rarely got a positive OPK myself, I found BBT much more useful.

Bananatoast123 · 22/04/2023 06:07

Hey everybody! How’s it all going?

i’m 7+3 and we’re off for a scan today as a little bit of reassurance! I’m so nervous!

krissy12 · 22/04/2023 15:52

@Bananatoast123 how did you get on at your scan?

AF finally arrived today after my mmc so feeling a bit more confident about ttc again

Bananatoast123 · 22/04/2023 17:37

@krissy12 Yes good and I’m reassured! I’m definitely 7+3 which was nice as it means I’m aligned to what my app was saying! I thought I had ovulated later and wasn’t as far along! Heartbeat and everything’s healthy 🤍

I feel like that’s good news for you? I hope your next cycle is the one for you!

DesertSnow · 22/04/2023 17:43

@Bananatoast123 ah that's lovely news, great to have that reassurance.

@krissy12 Glad AF has arrived so now you know a bit more about where you are. Fingers crossed that this will be your cycle.

krissy12 · 22/04/2023 18:10

that's amazing @Bananatoast123 great news

thank you @DesertSnow trying not to stress too much about I feel so lucky to have my little boy already

Houseelf90 · 22/04/2023 18:14

So happy for you @Bananatoast123 - it’s amazing to see that little heartbeat isn’t it!
I had my “16” week appointment yesterday at 17+4 and got to hear baby’s heartbeat, that was magical!! We went to look at prams today and fell in love with one we found at a great price online so I’ve ordered that and will keep it at my grandmas when it arrives! That’s made it feel very real!

DesertSnow · 22/04/2023 18:48

@Houseelf90 Getting the big purchases ticked off does make it feel real, doesn't it? I had my 25 week appointment last week and it took them 15 minutes to find baby's heartbeat, which was a bit of a worry, but they found it in the end. Baby was just running away from the doppler! Have you found out what you're having or are you waiting for the anomaly scan, or are you having a surprise?

Houseelf90 · 22/04/2023 20:22

@DesertSnow definitely!! I did panic it was a little bit soon but I think the one we wanted has possibly been discontinued so wanted to get it whilst it was available and at a good price! Had to tell myself that buying a pram won’t change what happens with baby!
I had my 20 week scan on 10th May but going to keep it as a surprise! Did you find out? Sorry if I’ve forgotten, too much to keep up with, with baby brain too!!
Oh god I would definitely be panicking!! It felt like it took ages for my midwife to find it but in reality it was probably less than a minute 🤣 baby was sitting higher up that expected! I’ve started feeling some flutters too which is amazing!

DesertSnow · 22/04/2023 20:54

@Houseelf90 I definitely held on buying stuff as worried about jinxing it, but you have to start at some point. It's good to get a few of the bigger purchases done. We've only just started getting bits. I wasn't too worried when they were trying to find heartbeat, as they could feel the baby moving. They just wanted to count the number of beats as I wasn't feeling baby move very much. But all seemed ok thank goodness. Ah a surprise, how lovely! We did find out - to my huge surprise we are having a little girl 💖 I was so convinced it was a boy!

Houseelf90 · 22/04/2023 22:02

@DesertSnow oh at least you knew baby was ok then! Ahhh a girl!! Congratulations! There are a few people on the pregnancy thread I’m on that thought they were having boys but are actually having girls!! I’m just hoping the sonographer doesn’t give it away at my scan, I’ve heard a few times when they’ve referred to baby as “him/her” and then said the opposite to try and hide their mistake! 😬
I think we will wait for other big things now, unless we stumble across another good deal!

PinkButtercups · 23/04/2023 07:07

@Houseelf90 how lovely! What pram did you choose? I kept mine at my in-laws too!

@DesertSnow congratulations on your little girl 💖.

@Bananatoast123 congratulations!

Good luck to all those still waiting for their BFP's ♥️.

I haven't checked in, in a while and hoping you're all okay.

Twins are nearly 5 months old now! Time flies by it really does! They love their sleep 8-6 so that's a winner! My girl is a little sassy pot to her brother and kicks him away in the bath but as soon as my chilled boy starts kicking back that's when she finds it unacceptable 😅. Such a lovely age because they're smiling, laughing and really starting to show their little characters. My boy is the most chilled boy, unless he's hungry 🤣.

Houseelf90 · 23/04/2023 10:17

@PinkButtercups we’ve gone for a Venicci travel system, I think it’s just their base spec one but does everything we need it to do, and we really liked the look and feel of it - it actually felt a lot sturdier than some of the more expensive brands we were looking at!

Thats so lovely about the twins personalities showing! Typical girl bossing her brother 😍 I can’t believe they’re nearly 5 months! That’s flown by!! Am so pleased they are in a nice routine for you! 🥰

krissy12 · 23/04/2023 16:13

@Houseelf90 we had the Vennici for our little boy I loved it !

Houseelf90 · 23/04/2023 17:03

@krissy12 thats good to hear!! It certainly ticked all our boxes!

DesertSnow · 23/04/2023 22:40

@Houseelf90 @PinkButtercups Thank you! I always thought I'd have a boy so it was such a surprise. Would have been delighted either way but I think because it wasn't what I thought it was that extra bit exciting when they told us. It's so lovely to hear the twin updates @PinkButtercups - feels like only yesterday you found out it was two!

PinkButtercups · 24/04/2023 10:07

@Houseelf90 I've heard good things about those prams!
You must be so excited now!
I had to separate them this morning because Bodhi was fed up of her kicking him and needed mummy to take him for a second 🤣.

@DesertSnow oh that's lovely! I've always been right on my kids sex's. I never found out but I've always been right but I had the twins mixed round I thought A was a boy and B a girl but it was the other way around!
I know! It flies by! It feels like only yesterday too I found out! Crazy.

Houseelf90 · 24/04/2023 11:57

@PinkButtercups I think they’re becoming quite popular, I’ve seen a fair few recently when we’ve been out!
Ahh bless him 🥺 best not tell him that she will still be annoying him in 15 years time 🙈

PinkButtercups · 24/04/2023 15:25

@Houseelf90 Yes they're nice! The group that formed from here (Jan 2023 Babies) one of them has that pram and it looks lovely.

She'll be bossing the boys about 😅
