Starting IVF December 2022- looking for a tribe!

Hello fellow IVF buddies (hopefully),

My wife and I will be starting our first round of IVF in December/ January. I will be carrying.

We lost a baby this time last year with a missed miscarriage at 9 weeks. So this is a charged time of year for us.
We are excited and nervous.

We have had our initial consultation- AMH and egg reserve looked good.

We have our nurses appointment this week.

I am always terrified of being weighed- I’m always sitting in the 29 category- I would love to be lower but struggle with weight loss.
How many times and when were you weighed during your cycles?

Looking for others who are going through IVF at this time to swap anxieties and stories with a keep each other going.

I confide in my wife also, but sometimes it’s nice to talk to the stranger friends you make here to keep you going!!

I never knew about testing out the trigger until last night lol so I ordered some cheap tests on amazon.
I'm going to start testing from Sunday every other day lol I'm the least patient person ever!

Day 10 stims scan update.

All went well today.
My estrogen is 3384 which is great.

I had 13 measurable follicles.
On the right they were between 8 and 14mm with 5 more unmeasurable.
On the left they were between 10 and 15mm. With three at 15mm.

They've kept me on stims for the weekend hoping to get some between 18mm and 22mm on a scan Monday.

I don't know if this is all good or bad, but they didn't look unhappy.
I'm hoping it will be trigger Monday for collection on Wednesday. Gosh I hope so. It will give me the weekend to grow and then next weekend to rest ❤️ before transfer x

@MRSLMF how are you feeling today? How many dp5dt? Are you now!

@mrsmw132 I’m glad your scan went well! Hopefully you can trigger on Monday, egg collection Wednesday.

Sorry I was quiet, but, I had my scan on Wednesday and I’ve finally down regulated! I started stims yesterday. First stims scan is Thursday.

I've just done an Internet cheapie test today and there is a faint line I'm not sure if it's the end of the trigger shot tho! I'm day 10 post trigger shot and day 3 post embryo transfer

This is exciting, if it gets darker you're rocking and rolling.
I'm looking forward to testing out the trigger, it may give me the control I'm craving 🤪

So I feel like I have literally inflated over night. Couldn't sleep I was so uncomfortable. Sat up and watched downton. Feeling so bloated it's unreal 🤪

So this morning I had a very negative test!
I supose this means trigger is out my system and yesterday's line was the trigger?!
Ahhh mrsmw 2 to 3 litres of water, keep and eye on it and let your clinic know just to be on the safe side xxxx

Good to know- I'll up my water! My sister treated me to a Stanley bottle for my Christmas- it amazing! I'm obsessed.

That is good it's negative. That means anything from now on is positive. 5dpt is a good start!

Another negative today from a cheap Internet test I'm 5 days post transfer and it was a 5 a day hatching 5AB sp I was hoping to start seeing something on the test.....night start using the first response tomorrow? The anxiety and the wait is torture, the progesterone is giving me literally ALL the signs......a little cruel if don't end up with a bfp!

@MRSLMF Sorry that test ended up being trigger. When is your official test date? You still have time!

Official test day is not until 28th so fingers crossed! I've also been using Internet cheapies which aren't very reliable so I've got some hope still. Just been on a very short bike ride on the flat too and feel a bit sick and crampy afterwards.....hoping that's a sign and not the evil progesterone lol.
How are the stims going xx

@MRSLMF Stims are ok. I’ve had a tiny bit of cramping this morning, which is early for only 3 injections of stims I reckon. But otherwise, I’m all good.

You’ve got plenty of time! Hopefully that cramping was the embryo getting itself nice and comfy!

@MRSLMF when I had my first IVF transfer, I didn’t test positive until 7 days after a 5 day transfer and then it was so faint I was doubting the line was there. Only on day 9 did it become darker.

Yes, stims scan at 8am! Hopefully it will be trigger tomorrow eve! Latest will be Tuesday eve. Keep fingers crossed for good numbers tomorrow.

Counting down till the end of stims phase. I'm just so impatient. One of our best friends told us she was pregnant yesterday! We are clinging to her vibes ❤️❤️❤️

Awww that's lovely news, one of my best friends is in labour as we speak with her 2nd IVF baby! She had 6 rounds altogether. She's over 45 and 2 successful from the 6 so this gives me hope too!
My other friend who is currently 6 months pregnant came off the pill and was literally pregnant the same month!

Ok! We did it!
Last ultrasound was today. Trigger tomorrow night for egg collection on Thursday.
This week is either going to fly by or drag at an epic rate.

We have 15 *follicles.
2 at 18mm +
13 between 10-17mm

And 6 less than 10mm

Have got my ovitrelle lined up for 10pm tomorrow 🤪

That implying that all goes well with my blood tests this morning. Fingers crossed.

@MRSLMF how goes your trigger testing?

Yayyy amazing news! My egg collection was a Thursday too, it came round quite quickly. My 5 day transfer was then on the Tuesday after so your super close now 🥰
Well I'm day 6 post transfer and still testing negative! It's starting to really affect my positive vibes seeing the negatives so I think I'm going to stop testing now until OTD of 28th. My clinic doesn't do beta testing which is annoying its just home pregnancy test on day 11 x

Good plan, positive vibes only until then x
