Hi ladies. I have started to feel a little overwhelmed with our usual thread and we are at different stages of our journeys now. Please feel free to leave this one if you don't feel the same but I feel so invested in your journeys and don't want to miss any news. Hoping this is ok, I don't think you can do DM as a group?
Hope you are all doing well and if there's anyone I've missed from the usual bunch feel free to add 😘😘😘

@theblueflowers so pleased the scan went well! I know the feeling of utter panic with spotting as I've been the same. So pleased your scan was perfectly timed to give you reassurance 🥰 xx

@theblueflowers awesome news lovely 💪🏼💕

mummatara · 02/11/2022 22:57

Sorry ladies absolute effing rant alert coming your way

So we get home about 5 and mil has already gone to pick DS up from childminder and she's going to feed him 👍🏼 awesome we go home I have my hot choc and we leave to get DS about 6 in that time DH has prepped dinner so all he has to do is cook it later.

We get home just before 7 and I'm attempting to wrestle screaming toddler into pjs I give up and leave him naked and say daddy can get you dressed can't remember what faffing about he was doing at that point. I make milk we go upstairs and it's a group effort to get pjs on but we manage it. I put DS to bed which tbf just involves telling him to lay on his pillow and hold mummy's hand or go night nights on the odd occasion whilst I sit in the rocker next to his cot. DH cooks dinner. I come down about an hour later dinner is sorted so stuff it down my face and proceed to lay on the sofa feeling totally whacked out.

DH tootles off to do some more work, he's been working all day pretty much which I don't mind he's running a business and is the main earner you can't just drop it all. At 10 he says do I want tea so I say yes to a chamomile he brings it in to the front room and says he's off to bed. I'd been contemplating bed for the best part of 45 mins but couldn't be arsed to move I say I'm coming to bed now too to which he says can I do the dishwasher 🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️ now I'm no invalid but I'm actually not running on 200% like usual and seriously I had surgery today. I think he could tell I had the huff when I said yes because he then offered to do it 🙄 it did only take me 5 mins then wipe the sides another few mins so not the end of the world but it irritated me so badly. I then go to see if he brought my massive washing basket down from the bedroom like I asked I'll give you one guess NOPE. As I'm loading the smaller basket in our room where he's in bed reading a magazine he says oh sorry I forget I'll take it down in the morning to which I'm like I want to put washing on now so off I trot basket in hand stick the wash on, Chuck the dog in the garden for a night wee and I'm now super super grumpy but I have no one to moan to 🙈

I know he's had a long day too and he is very supportive normally but I actually would love to have just not had to do anything tonight

So so so sorry if you actually got to the end of that shit show of a message ❤️

MrsCristianoX · 02/11/2022 23:20

@mummatara omg 😆 why do men not get it?? You are doing so well but bloody take it easy 'faffing about'😂 yep just about sums up my DH too

TheBirdintheCave · 02/11/2022 23:28

Great news @theblueflowers :D It must have been amazing to see that heartbeat :)

Husband and I had a 'wet run' with the Ferti-lily tonight. I don't think there's any chance for us to conceive naturally now but I bought it so I'm going to use it anyway.

Still no sign of O. CM is very strange at the moment. Lots of creamy white but with random bits of egg white in it.

We booked our fertility check appointment today for the 16th. Not too long to wait. They offered us this week but I'm still Covid positive so we couldn't take that one 🙄

@mummatara Sorry your husband was a bit thoughtless there :( Hopefully he'll be more of a help tomorrow.

mummatara · 03/11/2022 07:05

@MrsCristianoX honestly the faffing drives me insane 🙄 he's lucky I manage to sort out DS most of the time or we would never get anywhere!

@TheBirdintheCave lol he's gone to work already hopefully this evening he will be better 😆🤞🏼

FfayeN · 03/11/2022 12:53

@TheBirdintheCave you must keep us updated with your appt come the 16th 😊

@mummatara what is it with these men!! Hopefully he will be better today, I think because they don't feel it sometimes they struggle to empathise, feel free to rant away if he's no better this evening 🤣

TheBirdintheCave · 03/11/2022 12:57

@FfayeN I shall do :) The call with the results is on the 24th (my sons birthday) but I imagine I'll at least be able to ask about the scan whilst we're there. It'll be interesting to see if my ovaries are still polycystic.

FfayeN · 03/11/2022 13:23

@TheBirdintheCave yeah absolutely. I hadn't realised you had PCOS so it would be good to get an update on that for sure! xx

OP posts:
TheBirdintheCave · 03/11/2022 13:34

@FfayeN Funny thing is I don't. My ovaries are polycystic but I don't have the syndrome that goes with it. So PCO but not PCOS. I'm an odd duck apparently!

FfayeN · 03/11/2022 14:55

@theblueflowers how are you doing today lovely? Are you still spotting? Xx

OP posts:
Indianna2006 · 03/11/2022 16:16

@mummatara oh god sake lol. My DH is a faffer too. It’s very irritating. They just don’t always get it so they.

@TheBirdintheCave I had PCO for a while but not the syndrome. But then it disappeared. Usually it’s a slight hormone imbalance but not enough for the actual syndrome. But my corrected myself. It was a stressful period for me.

theblueflowers · 03/11/2022 17:45

@FfayeN holding my breath each time, but so far it was only once yesterday! Nothing seen on the scan, so he reckons it might be my cervix, but didn't seem too bothered.

How are you getting on? When do you go away?

FfayeN · 03/11/2022 17:57

@theblueflowers that's such good news! Sounds similar to what I had too! If ever 2 journies mirrored each other's it's ours 🤣. I go away Sunday. Back on the 18th, blood tests and history appt on the 19th, scan on the 21st so hopefully the 19th won't all be for nothing 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼.
I still don't feel many symptoms although the last few days my boobs have started to hurt and I've felt a little queasy xx

MrsCristianoX · 03/11/2022 23:03

@bunnykins123 I see what you mean about the void 😳

TheBirdintheCave · 03/11/2022 23:46

@MrsCristianoX 😂

I managed to spill some swimmers tonight while trying to get the Ferti-lily in. Very cross with myself 🤦🏻‍♀️ I hope it didn't all leak out :/

MrsCristianoX · 04/11/2022 07:45

@TheBirdintheCave mine went everywhere!! I didn't read the leaflet and thought you have to twist it back by hand so yuck on my hand until I looked at the leaflet and I pulled it out after 20 mins and more on that🤷‍♀️ I should have practiced 😭 but CD8 there's no chance anyway😂

TheBirdintheCave · 04/11/2022 08:42

@MrsCristianoX Oh no! 😂I find the taking out part the worst 😐I can't find a neat way to do it at all.

FfayeN · 04/11/2022 08:58

@MrsCristianoX @TheBirdintheCave 🤣🤣🤣 the things we do!! Did you manage to give the tail a tug and get it to pop back like a cup? I found the easiest way to do that was to hold the very edge up, it's fiddly but after a few goes you'll be pros.
As for getting it out....pull and try and move your hand out the way as quick as possible without flicking it everywhere 😵. Luckily my basin is right next to the loo! It's definitely a device where practice makes better...I don't think it'll ever be a perfect tool to use, but keep persisting it gets easier xx

OP posts:
MrsCristianoX · 04/11/2022 09:14

@TheBirdintheCave I wonder can I keep it in all the night..🤔

TheBirdintheCave · 04/11/2022 09:28

@FfayeN I am apparently a pro at getting it to flip up and stick around the cervix 😂I find that bit quite easy.

I'm afraid to pull the tail too hard to get it out in case I break it and it gets stuck up there! 😅 At the moment I sort of break the seal with my finger and then pull the tail and it comes out.

@MrsCristianoX I wondered that too but it says only up to an hour in the instructions. I think it's because it's a biodegradable product so to prolong its life to the full six cycles only an hour is recommended at a time. Also, maybe all the swimmers who are going to make it will have done so by that point in time.

FfayeN · 04/11/2022 10:36

@TheBirdintheCave that's exactly what I had to do the suction was almost too good I thought I was gonna pull my insides out 😱. Xx
