Hi ladies. I have started to feel a little overwhelmed with our usual thread and we are at different stages of our journeys now. Please feel free to leave this one if you don't feel the same but I feel so invested in your journeys and don't want to miss any news. Hoping this is ok, I don't think you can do DM as a group?
Hope you are all doing well and if there's anyone I've missed from the usual bunch feel free to add 😘😘😘

@bunnykins123 Could you do a 'wet' run (rather than dry run haha)? DTD before ovulation so it doesn't matter if the spermies get wasted and practice putting it in and taking it out again.

FfayeN · 01/11/2022 12:42

@bunnykins123 have you boiled it? I wonder if that softens it up? @TheBirdintheCave that's a good idea! Plus I think so long as it's up and roughly in place it'll do a better job of holding stuff in place than nothing at all x

bunnykins123 · 01/11/2022 16:27

@TheBirdintheCave maybe I'll give it a go tonight. I'll keep you updated!!

@FfayeN yeh I've tried that too. The rubber is quite stiff but I think it's more having to contort the thing so it'll actually go up which I find hard. When I finally did get it up there, I was sure I had lost it as it seemed to enter a void!!

Indianna2006 · 01/11/2022 19:37

@bunnykins123 🤣🤣 laughing about it entering a void. I think that’s usually a good thing. Probably indicated it was high enough in the right place. It should be almost unreachable tbh. It shouldn’t be in your vaginal canal and accessible. It won’t get stuck so don’t worry about it being in a void 😂

bunnykins123 · 01/11/2022 20:00

@Indianna2006 ...I actually did wonder if I would be able to yank it back down again. Good to hear I'm not alone and that is actually normal! Wish me luck, trial run tonight...😬

FfayeN · 01/11/2022 20:40

@bunnykins123 @Indianna2006 yeah I found getting it out the hardest bit! I guess it has to have some rigidity to the shape so it create a seal...not to let any of those sneaky spermies escape! Good luck 🤞🏼

Indianna2006 · 01/11/2022 20:42

@bunnykins123 @FfayeN the harder it is to get out. The more in place it is. If it comes out easy your doing it wrong

all the times I’ve got pregnant with it was like a suction vaccum 😂😂 no joke.

TheBirdintheCave · 01/11/2022 21:53

@bunnykins123 Good luck! 😂 Let us know how it goes. I'm too tired to try it tonight 😴

Still waiting for the fertile CM to start. I started temping again the other day so hopefully will see a rise soon as I'm CD15 already.

bunnykins123 · 01/11/2022 22:42

@FfayeN @Indianna2006 @TheBirdintheCave it's in gals! It wasn't too bad this time although I'm pretty sure I didn't flip it? I'm also pretty worried it'll get lost up there - the pully-thing is pretty much all the way up there too 😳

FfayeN · 02/11/2022 05:04

@bunnykins123 don't worry too much for the first time, it's in and up! Work on flipping it next time. I had the tail thing go quite far a couple of times, I found if I sat on the toilet a certain way I was able to get it easier, hope you managed to get it out ok!

@TheBirdintheCave hoping you O soon, are you still trying despite the covid setback 🙈. Got to be in it to win it I guess every chance is worth taking? Xx

bunnykins123 · 02/11/2022 06:51

@FfayeN haha I did take mine out whilst on the toilet. That was interesting 😶 But it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Maybe with practice, it'll get a bit easier! Flashing smiley today so the fun commences....

MrsCristianoX · 02/11/2022 07:52

I'm starting to ttc this month. Last month nearly broke me and DH is possibly away in December..so I'll be giving that thing a go this month too. I have to stop the meds anyway because they are making my body hurt 🤷‍♀️

FfayeN · 02/11/2022 08:21

@MrsCristianoX aw I'm glad you're back in the game but hoping you're ok? Sorry to hear they're affecting you in a bad way xx

OP posts:
MrsCristianoX · 02/11/2022 08:28

@FfayeN yep I'm all good. DH said no to the work thing but they are offering him a massive bonus now so he'd be mad not to accept. I thought the hardest part would be talking him round to ttc early but no he seems on board 🤞haven't produced the fertile cup yet can't wait to see him run a mile😂

theblueflowers · 02/11/2022 08:46

Hey all,
Not good news from me. I've started spotting today, and my symptoms have disappeared. Fearing the worst as this is how it started with the other two. Supposed to be 6w2d today. The good news is that I've got a scan booked in this afternoon so I will hopefully get a definitive answer. Feeling pretty broken by it all.

TheBirdintheCave · 02/11/2022 09:34

@theblueflowers So sorry to hear that, Blue :( I'm glad your scan is today at least so you won't be waiting for too long without answers. xx

bunnykins123 · 02/11/2022 12:29

@MrsCristianoX welcome back on the bandwagon! It does make sense for DH to do work if he's getting lots of £££ for it. Will he be away during your fertile period?

@theblueflowers honestly hun, don't panic yet. I know it's scary but so many mums spot (my friend did a few weeks ago - all good with bubba and happy heartbeat!). There could be so many reasons at this stage. Keep us updated how the scan goes but deep breaths 💕 also symptoms massively come and go too!

MrsCristianoX · 02/11/2022 12:45

@bunnykins123 yes for Decembers fertile period xx

@theblueflowers I'm so sorry I don't even know what to say. Hopefully all is ok 🙏 but I totally understand your heartache today ❤️

mummatara · 02/11/2022 13:53

@theblueflowers big hugs lovely I hope the scan goes ok and it's just nothing to worry about ❤️

lovenaps · 02/11/2022 16:16

@theblueflowers I absolutely could not read and run. It is totally normal to feel anxious given your previous experiences but I really want to hope the best for you. So many people spot when pregnant, in fact, there was a thread couple weeks ago where someone was bleeding and wanted to cancel her early scan as she did not expect a good outcome based on the bleeding but the scan showed a good heartbeat. As people above said, symptoms sometimes come and go. Really hoping you will come back with here with good news after the scan ❤❤x Fingers crossed for you!

theblueflowers · 02/11/2022 16:45

Thank you all for your reassuring words, it has been the longest day waiting for this appointment and not having anyone to talk to about it is so difficult!

Can't quite believe I'm writing this but the scan showed a heartbeat 🥹. Me and DH were just in shock as we've never seen anything like it. I'm measuring 1 day behind, but trying not to look into that.

I think I'm a bit dazed to be honest, I actually have a draft message to my GP about a referral to Tommys that I was going to send after this appointment. What a day.

lovenaps · 02/11/2022 16:48

@theblueflowers I swear I had such a positive feeling about your scan!!!! THAT IS AMAZING ❤

lovenaps · 02/11/2022 16:49

Also, 1 day behind is nothing, honestly!

MrsCristianoX · 02/11/2022 17:38

@theblueflowers fab news!! ❤️ Xx

FfayeN · 02/11/2022 18:13

@MrsCristianoX he shouldn't run a mile it's not him that has to insert it 🤣🤣🤣🤣
