Hi ladies. I have started to feel a little overwhelmed with our usual thread and we are at different stages of our journeys now. Please feel free to leave this one if you don't feel the same but I feel so invested in your journeys and don't want to miss any news. Hoping this is ok, I don't think you can do DM as a group?
Hope you are all doing well and if there's anyone I've missed from the usual bunch feel free to add 😘😘😘

@mummatara totally agree with this! We are all in this together and I really think talking helps even, regardless of the topic 💕

@FfayeN my recommendation would be to start with your GP. Request a referral to the Epsom and St Helier Trust for reoccurring miscarriage clinic. It might take months but it's free, you have absolutely nothing to loose by doing this. Next step, speak to your gyno, see what they advise. Could you opt back into the tommys trial? I think first and foremost though, is take time to grieve. It's easy to get caught up in the planning and getting answers aspect but it's also important to take a moment for yourself as it's incredibly hard thing to go through. Talking helps, these forums have helped me so much 💕

bunnykins123 · 21/11/2022 14:50

@FfayeN I have Dr S price list if you want me to send you a copy, just let me know. I've registered twice and never ended up going 🤦‍♀️

FfayeN · 21/11/2022 14:54

@bunnykins123 yeah I just found it online but thank you!
I have got to call the GP tomorrow so will get the referral sent off anyway. They did it before so I know it's possible. Thanks so much for all the info 😘

@FfayeN ive opened a bottle of wine and had an argument with next online there so I'm a bit confused. I know there's a clinic near me in Belfast and I can self refer (god knows what tests they do) but I think my age is playing a huge part in my fertility now 😕

But please keep talking lovely and you are defo not hijacking the thread whatsoever. It's good to have a plan 💕

FfayeN · 21/11/2022 15:16

@MrsCristianoX thanks lovely. I deffo feel like a big glass of red today! Xx

OP posts:
bunnykins123 · 21/11/2022 15:39

@MrsCristianoX I think I'll follow suit, I may as well just indulge now! Why did you argue with Next Online?! 😂

@FfayeN you defo deserve a glass (or 4!) you're welcome - just holla if you have anymore questions. It can feel like a bit of a minefield when navigating NK cells etc!

FfayeN · 21/11/2022 15:44

@bunnykins123 yeah absolutely! Which IVF clinic are you with? Just wondering if there is one near me. Bourn don't offer testing for NKCells but it does look like they support the treatment of it in IVF which is strange xx

@bunnykins123 they charged me for a wardrobe I ordered in July which I STILL don't have! They sent it out twice without doors. Which we returned twice. We were doing up DDs bedroom. Then they told me I didn't have an account with them. I'm like 'Well why are you emailing me looking for money?' 🙄 apparently there is a further delay she should have it by Christmas.

FfayeN · 21/11/2022 16:31

@MrsCristianoX I would be livid! No wonder you've had a row! x

OP posts:
bunnykins123 · 21/11/2022 17:11

@MrsCristianoX a wardrobe without doors 🤦‍♀️ How can that even happen?! I'm not surprised you're raging!

lovenaps · 21/11/2022 17:38

@FfayeN beyond heartbroken for you... Life can be so cruel and unfair... :( Was really hoping for the best outcome for you.
I know nothing we can say can reduce the heartache you are experiencing now but I am so glad you have us here - please don't feel you are over-taking anything. You just went through something utterly terrible, everyone here wants to help you.
And also at 8w5d when the risk is really small at that point, it's so terrible and I am sorry 😔It was a good thing you moved your scan because it would be absolutely shocking to find out at 12-week one - and I am sure it's absolutely shocking now too.
How are you holding up?
As for NK cells, it is good if you live in an area that will test for them and look at options. Where I am, the NHS doesn't believe in immune issues and doesn't provide any tests or treatments even alongside IVF! I spoke to one of the doctors I know and she said there was no strong evidence but I still believe that surely it could be the cause for some people?

I am sorry I just don't know what to say❤x

FfayeN · 21/11/2022 18:04

@lovenaps thanks lovely. My NHS doesn't support testing either, so we'll need to fund it, I'm just not sure how yet.
I'm doing ok, but I think it's because I'm planning ahead and distracting myself.
It will hit me soon enough I am sure. Xx

@FfayeN I'm so sorry you've now had 4. That's heartbreaking. I had 2 in a row and was told 'it's just one of those things', which didn't help at all. I just wanted answers. I'm sure covid contributed towards my 2nd MC..I have a really good friend who is a consultant in obstetrics/IVF. I've badgered her loads. She referred to getting pregnant as a bit like Russian roulette when u get a little older in regards to egg quality. I'm 39 as well so pretty sure I have had some dodgy eggs in the past! There are various supplements u can take, I'm not sure if you have been taking them? I found doing things such as taking supplements, having specialist acupuncture for MC also gave me a sense of control over things..with this current pregnancy I also went down the aspirin route ( 75mg a day) which can help if there's a chance u could have sticky blood..as far as I'm aware there's no harm in taking it and my midwife said although she couldn't advise me 'officially' to take it, if it was her, she'd take it. I also researched it online and decided to go down that route xx

FfayeN · 21/11/2022 19:12

@calimc83 oh yeah I imagine the chances of it being successful are slim...but not so slim I'm where I am 😢.
I was taking coQ10, all the regular supplements, selenium, was on progesterone. So thought I had most bases covered with a good diet and exercise. I feel sure it's got to be more than bad luck so we're heading down the immunology route now. Just got to decide what we can afford and what level of care that'll give us.
I will look into acupuncture though aswell if I can get appointments to fit round work xx

@FfayeN I'd definitely give a fertility acupuncturist a go, mine was also really good at recommending supplements, mine gave me some really interesting facts about how there's so many factors that contribute to fertility including gut health ( I was prescribed some strong probiotics as I've had a dodgy stomach for years). Have u had your vit d levels checked? What's 'normal' vit d levels to a gp tends to be much less than what they'd like it to be for fertility...and make sure you are taking folate ( pure form of folic acid). I found my acupuncturist through Zeta West ( fertility expert) website. Please don't give up hope, you will get there. I'm sure of it xxx

FfayeN · 21/11/2022 22:17

@MrsCristianoX I really hope tomorrows test is positive for you, however if it isn't Ovusense have 40% off for black Friday! xxx

@FfayeN I saw that!! I need no excuse to buy it😂 todays FRER was super faint so I'm certain I'm out xx

bunnykins123 · 21/11/2022 22:54

@FfayeN how are you feeling? Xx

MrsCristianoX · 21/11/2022 23:06

@FfayeN good luck tomorrow xx all the love from NI is being sent your way 💕

bunnykins123 · 22/11/2022 07:32

@mummatara did you retest today? X

mummatara · 22/11/2022 07:45

@bunnykins123 I did. I think it looks the same. I also did another frer to compare which also looks the same so I'm thinking nothing as exciting as a new pregnancy just the lingering hcg going a bit whacky. I need to ring the EPU anyway they'll either get me in to blood test or tell me to wait another week as no signs of infection. I'll let them dry a bit and take some pics ❤️

bunnykins123 · 22/11/2022 08:05

@mummatara oh I'm sorry, I know you said it might have been too soon but I'm sure the possibility of a new pregnancy was exciting none the less 💕

mummatara · 22/11/2022 08:13

@bunnykins123 yes a new one would have been quite frankly amazing but my gut tells me no so I didn't get too hopeful.

I had a look at cycle after previous surgery AF came on CD33 which is a pretty normal number for me im usually CD27-CD31 for AF so hopefully she arrives in a normal range again and we can just start over 🤞🏼

@mummatara what cycle day are you today?
The bottom tests on both do look darker, I'm really hoping you get a definitive answer soon.

@bunnykins123 I just had a meltdown over being kicked out of the doctors call queue...so overall I'd say I'm doing fine 😆.
I think impatient is the key word. I want to just get going again, same as everyone else xx

@FfayeN I'm CD21 today. I'm trying to get through to the EPU atm they love to keep the phone ringing and ringing 🙄 just before I left the house I took out Saturdays and yesterdays out so there are 48 hours between and there is a difference I really just don't know what to think 🤦🏼‍♀️ Oh no I would have had a meltdown too our doctors are terrible for the queuing system. Are you close could you pop down there? Mine is two min walk down the road so I just walk in now
