I have had trigger shot yesterday for first time

So it's day 2 most of today I'm getting a weird feeling in my left ovary hard to explain like it's going to pop , could this mean I have ovulated today ,iv already had intercourse today so going to wait untill tomorrow untill hubby builds up again just to try for the best chance I have only one mature 20mm folicle does any one have any experience, I'd really love to hear your stories xxxxxx

Melpainter sometimes they can miss little hidden folicles that's wot happened to me xxxxxx

Thanks ladies, I’ve got to keep injecting 150iui menopur and back on Monday morning for a scan and same as @Alexis7890 if there has been decent growth then hopefully trigger. I can’t understand why there has been no growth on an increased dosage ok I suppose it has been two days since last scan. I asked the nurse why and she said it’s sometimes what happens with pcos the follicles can be stubborn to grow she said they won’t give me a higher dosage incase I over stim well it’s would be good to have some stimulation stupid follicles! my only side effects on menopur now is dizziness and frequent nose bleeds oh and maybe the emotional factor I seem to cry every day
@Alexis7890 what else can we do to encourage the follicles to grow, if like to think a cold wouldn’t have an effect but our bodies are a law unto themselves
@Dachshund1 they did say a thick lining usually means a follicle is due to follow so I don’t think the will give me progesterone, how much did they increase your dose when you weren’t responding x

They didn't increase me I had a scan every 2 days and how I managed to ovualate in-between them scans is beyond me , my folicle was stubborn as well as I have pcos too I over stim aswell so basically when for another scan and the doctor looked at my files then made me come in the same day and injected me with 60mg of ovetrelle and 2 days later anothe 60mg and then Monday I had to take another 60mg , I was anoyed that with the scans every 2nd day they would or should have picked this up so really I'm just waiting the 2 weeks and Gona see wot happens mind u I don't no if I'm hopeful this time as I have never heard of it being done this way and IV been on medicated cycles for well over a year xxxxxx fingers crossed for you both tho xxxxx

I do think the doctor and nurses it trying this as a last chance to be honest as I told them I will be giving my body a break for a while xxxxx

@Dachshund1 i understand wanting to take a break the highs and lows are exhausting. I did think the nurse didn’t do a thorough look she was very gentle today and with my last clinic the male scanner was like right in there measuring everything I felt rather tender after lol but at least I knew he checked everything!
also why is it that everywhere you look there are pregnant women or new borns under your nose?

Yes I find one of my nurses is a lot more experienced and I think the other maybe not so much she just has a quick check and put the door , yes I do see alot of pregnant woman I think I've seen 3 or 4 over this past month I never kinda notice are u seeing the same xxxxx

@Melpainter i feel the same, they won’t increase my dose because of the risk of more than 1 follicle growing but I would rather have 2 or 3 grow than this! Had yours grown at all? Mine had grown 2mm in 3 days and she said they want around 2mm growth per day so not growing properly.

@Alexis7890 no growth at all in three days it stayed at 11mm have another scan Monday hoping the 150 will kick in like @Dachshund1 said they prob doing same as her clinic slow and steady I’m just impatient lol
we celebrated our 1st miracles 8th birthday today at a pottery painting place and then did a walking bus to gallones ice cream factory had loads of sugar filled hyper kids to hand back to their parents lol

I’m impatient too. Because I’ve had letrozole fail repeatedly I’m trying to not get myself in the headspace that this is going to fail as well. I want it to grow now and get moving haha

Lady's day 7 past trigger my line is the same as yesterday's and the day befores , it's definitely still the trigger floating about has to be even no I took smaller ovetrelle dose 7 more days to go hope u are all well and yes I was told slow and steady is usually the best way xxxxxxx

@Dachshund1 has the line stayed the same strength? I really really hope it stays strong for you! I had to put together the injection today and the vile broke and cut my finger 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ I really think they should give us these meds already made up! Having to mix it and extract from one vile to another is ok until it goes wrong like for me today! I’ve had a hideous headache since they increased the dose hoping the benefits will show a big fat follicle tomorrow 🤞🤞🤞

@Melpainter oh no do yours not come in the pre filled pens? It was great fun, I live just north of Bristol so Birmingham is around an hour and a half away, we have had some snow here today as well 😊 hoping we both have a big follicle tomorrow ready to be triggered!!

morning ladies, no growth at all… so we’ve switched meds to ovaleap and scan again Wednesday if no response by wed then we have to abandon this cycle x

Morning, I have had no growth either so increasing the dose and go back Wednesday as well to see if it made a difference. Feeling very deflated about it all now x

@Alexis7890 big big hugs I feel your pain! So how much have they put you on now? They have me on 75 of this new one but I’m like come on guys what’s the point in that! If I’ve bot responded to 150 menopur then I’m not going to react to measly 75iu ovaleap x

@Melpainter im on 75 now as well. I feel like they should have changed it on Friday when it hadn’t really progressed since Tuesday. I have quite a few small follicles and 1 that’s around 12mm so I think it’s shrunk but nothing really going anywhere. Convinced they’re going to do a couple more checks then say nope cancelling this one start again after Xmas. I can’t see them wanting to do monitoring between Xmas and new year and it’s not far away now!xx

I know what you mean, it does feel a little like they are just dragging this on for their own benefit and pocket! how slow do they have to go!
so I’ve read stuff on helping the follicles grow

1.Eat foods rich in antioxidants

1. Eat a bigger breakfast
2. Avoid trans fats
3. Cut down on carbs if you have PCOS
4. Eat fewer refined carbs

I have googled all sorts, saw one thing saying drinking milk can help, I’m lactose intolerant but still considered trying it! It is so tempting to crank the dial on the pen up to a higher dose to try to get the follicle moving!! I’m not sure how long they will want to keep trying to grow the same follicles before cancelling it and saying stop and start again on a new cycle

Well I don’t blame you for wanting to crank it up! Tbh I’ve already done that tonight cause I know 75 won’t do s#!t 😉 watch me now go on Wednesday and have them say I’ve over stimulated lol yer that won’t happen!
what I would like to know is how long can a follicle stay at 11mm cause it’s been that for 6 days! x

They keep telling me to stay low and gradually increase to avoid over stimulating….well stimulate something!!! Mine was 13 last Tuesday now is 11 6 days later so god knows what’s happening with either of us! No one can seem to give me any answers though xx

Yeah maybe! I do wonder if they realise the extent it affects mental health as it consumes my whole life, usually I’m the most Christmassy person I know and this year I keep trying but can’t with this not working xx

I understand completely, for me I want to stay positive and optimistic but get a niggle of what if it never happens am I being happy for no reason but then I also believe that you gotta think lucky to be lucky! Ask, believe and receive and all that lol we will get there in the end lovely xxx

This happened to me my folicle just wouldn't grow any more they wouldn't up my dose I got a different size of folicle of a less known nurse aswell , ok got a scan basicly every 2 days exsept sat sun , I have taken my ovetrelle and had light pink last night and have woken now to a slower period devastated isn't even the word I was clinging on to every little hope as I got checked on so much , it's hard to keep positive all the time for years month after month, I enjoy reading your chats it's like wer all going threw the exact same thing , I was wondering as I'm out this month can we keep this thread open so i can come back and chat with you both after Christmas maybe January sometime when Im going to try again (wasn't my body to have a wee break ) it's hard mentally injecting with stimulation every day for so long ) so am going to take some time away Alexis I uped my dose with myself and my folicle didn't even grow anymore when they wouldn't up my does I didn't overstim like they said my folicle just wouldn't grow and to be honest I think there was an other folicle in there too as I OVUALATED and the missed that then how was there another folicle?! I'm confused with my clinic ,it's lik don't overtim to give yourself a better chance if gladly conceive twins or multiples it isn't there call they want one or at most 2 folicles I think they see money signs I'm heart broken so for the rant but I hope u understand good luck to both of you and yes miracles do happen when u least expect them ❤️🙏 xxxxxxxx
