@ROZRAX or with that same old song with the baby voice talking to their mommy…!! 🙄

Babydustmamma · 27/10/2022 07:49

@ChickenT2b I completely agree! I didn’t use anything apart from CM the first time I got pregnant, so I had this idea that it was so simple… 😅 fast forward to four months post miscarriage and we’ve done every wives tale in the book and still no luck 😂 I used to be like clockwork 7 day🩸and 28 days, now I’m having such light periods that it’s basically spotting rather than a flow and they’re up to 12/14 days… and my luteal phase has is about 8/9 😶

i haven’t tried acupuncture yet but I’ve read lots of people trying it! Has your experience been positive? That’s brilliant about adjusting the ovulation window!

@Sailawaygirl im so sorry lovely ♥️ My experience has been really isolating in all honesty. I don’t know anyone to have had one, and tbh lots have people have ‘left me to it’ and ‘given me space’ because they thought that to be best - but I really did and still need to talk about it to process. It’s one of the hardest aspects I’ve found through the whole experience. If you ever want to chat I’m here!

bunnykins123 · 27/10/2022 08:48

@Sailawaygirl it would be completely normal for hormones to make your bowels go a bit funky after a miscarriage. I'm not sure what your menstrual cycle is like but my body does all sorts of weird and wonderful thinks at different stages (flatulence, constipation etc) - it's all linked to hormone fluctuations. It can take a while for hormones to normalise so see how you get on for the next few months and if you're still uncomfortable, maybe put in a quick call to the GP for reassurance? Also, miscarriage is a lonely place to be. Women don't talk that openly about it. I found the more I did open up, the more I realised how common it was (doesn't make it any easier though!)

Sailawaygirl · 27/10/2022 09:44

@Babydustmamma Emotionally I feel OK, Which I kinda feel bad about but I know it can take me a while to process my emotions so expecting it to hit me Emotionally a little bit later. I'm more at a stage of thinking wtf just happened in my body!
@bunnykins123 thank you for the reasurance. bloody hormones!! I'm going to try and keep talking to people as much as possible but it's a hard to start the conversation. But feels better once said. I was expecting a 'me to' from someone but not yet.

ChloeN · 27/10/2022 09:46

On the subject of hormones after mc, and I’m sure it’s been mentioned before! Does anyone have different pre AF symptoms now?? I never get sore boobs before my period anymore when I normally used too!

Babydustmamma · 27/10/2022 09:58

@ChloeN thats definitely changed for me… most of my PMS symptoms have gone!

@Sailawaygirl yeah I think that’s where I’m at too. Obviously it’s all a process but it’s worrying what’s happening with my body now that makes me most distressed ♥️

ChloeN · 27/10/2022 10:06

@Babydustmamma glad I’m not alone! I really do not understand it, I was hoping it would all just return to normal🤦🏻‍♀️

bubble55 · 27/10/2022 10:52

my line got darker today 🥹

Although I’ve got such bad stomach ache. Pregnancy after a loss is such a horrible up and down rollercoaster.

ChloeN · 27/10/2022 10:59

@bubble55 so pleased it’s darker for you💕

lizziecat1 · 27/10/2022 11:12

@bubble55 That is a fabulous line!

bunnykins123 · 27/10/2022 13:35

@ChloeN me! Never used to have pms but now seem to get sore breasts quite early into my luteal phase. It's so annoying as I never had it before and now my pms symptoms are basically the same as early pregnancy 🤷‍♀️

Babydustmamma · 27/10/2022 13:56

@ChloeN ugh same! It’s a bit heartbreaking isn’t it. I’m trying to think that each cycle has the potential to be a fresh cycle ♥️ That’s on a good day 😅

im officially booked in for the fertility assessment now so atleast that’s something to look forward to x

MrsCristianoX · 27/10/2022 14:14

@bunnykins123 same. Swear I can actually feel the progesterone starting to rise now 😭

MrsCristianoX · 27/10/2022 14:14

@bubble55 looking really good 💕

bunnykins123 · 27/10/2022 16:24

@MrsCristianoX so weird. I never used to have this last year. So wonder if age is also playing a part? Who knows 🤷‍♀️

MrsCristianoX · 27/10/2022 16:31

@bunnykins123 probably. I'm gonna a nightmare in menopause like no joke. I actually felt my mood lifting yesterday then AF today!

ChickenT2b · 27/10/2022 16:42

@ChloeN i used to have debilitating period pain only for an hour or so before my period to the point I wondered if it was endometriosis (still wondering) but post mc the pain has completely disappeared!
I also now have sore boobs for my entire luteal phase from ovulation to period!

ChickenT2b · 27/10/2022 16:45

@Babydustmamma hope you don’t mind me asking but what made you book in for a fertility assessment?
Is it age related or to try to put your mind at ease/just check things over?

Either way I hope it goes well for you.

ChickenT2b · 27/10/2022 16:56

@Babydustmamma about acupuncture I have to say I am a hopeful sceptic. I don’t know or understand enough about it to preach. I am hoping it’s working. My problem according to my acupuncturist is my kidney yang, in other words, I am too cold. Cold kidney = cold womb = not good environment for baby.
I have noticed a rise in my bbt albeit not huge. And his aim was to bring my ovulation forwards as it was usually around CD18 or later and then luteal phase of 11/12 days. I’m in my 4th month of acu and last cycle I ovulated on day 15 with 14 day luteal phase. We shall see what happens this month. If it’s consistent I would say it is most likely the acupuncture 🤞🏼He did say it would take 3-4 months so start to work.

Babydustmamma · 27/10/2022 16:59

@ChickenT2b thats crazy! My pre-mc periods were so similar to yours by the sounds of it! For the first day I would be so heavy, crippled over in pain whilst being stuck on the toilet with both ends 😂 sorry tmi but this was genuinely debilitating! Now I’ve got nothing… so it’s quite a difference. I never thought I’d miss it!

The reason I’ve booked in is my cycles have changed so dramatically, which has pushed back my ovulation and shortened my luteal phase. I’ve also had craaaazy hormonal acne, night sweats, dizziness and lost all of my PMS symptoms (plus not had any success fertility wise since the mc). I think it maybe be my body taking a while to settle from it all, but if something is changed/altered and needs help to be adjusted I want to know (acknowledging I’m in a privileged position to be able to take that step). It’s really been affecting my mental health now and is spilling out into other aspects so I just figure I’m gunna go for it ♥️ The GP that I spoke to said because I’m under 35 and healthy there’s not much they can do testing wise until I’ve been trying for a year and I can’t wait that long.

also @bubble55 i think that looks really strong and positive 👌♥️

Aprilsunnyday · 27/10/2022 17:00

@MrsCristianoX @bunnykins123
I feel the same with you ladies. The luteal phase sees quite a bit of early pregnancy like symptoms, sore boobs etc, a bit broken sleep as well... 😔!
Very v easy to confuse and get false hope, exactly what I need in ttc. 🤣

Babydustmamma · 27/10/2022 17:01

@ChickenT2b thats really interesting and a great sign that you’ve responded so well! Every day is important when it comes to this stuff so really amazing 😍 definitely something I’d be excited about trying!

Come to think of it I’ve got really bad circulation going to put some socks on now! haha x

MrsCristianoX · 27/10/2022 17:16

@Aprilsunnyday it's ridiculous. After a zillion pregnancy tests in the past few months and me not even trying this month I know my hormones are being dickheads 🙄

FfayeN · 27/10/2022 18:05

@Babydustmamma I think it's awful the GPs are so dismissive. Have they don't any tests? They should as a minimum do a blood profile so all the normal mineral levels and thyroid check, especially after MC. I hope the tests give you some answers and a way forward xx
