CD1 hoping for a BFP in October!

Hi, thought I'd start a new thread.

I'm 36 DH is 49. We've been trying for 8 months now, Sadly had a CP beginning of July. I have a GP appointment on the 27th to get the ball rolling if we don't conceive. AF arrived today so on to a new cycle.

Anyone else hoping for a BFP in October? xx

@TTC2022newbie which app do you use? Mines been out of sync this cycle as I had covid at the beginning of September. Do you usually get any pre AF symptoms? x

@blueberry23 you're not alone, I would be exactly the same lol! I've already started POAS even though I know it's too early to even think about getting a positive 🤦🏻‍♀️

@blueberry23 I'm only 6/7 dpo. My body feels different to normal though but I'm not sure if I'm just imagining it because I want it so much. x

@hevann hi , thanks for checking in. No change for me unfortunately, which is getting a little frustrating I have to admit! It's been over a month now since I stopped the pill and no withdrawal or period.

I have bought ovulation tests to see if anything was happening, but I'm not even ovulating yet. It's like my system has completely shut down.
I have had cramps and sore boobs Since stopping the pill so I keep thinking my af will arrive any day but nothing.
I have stopped the pregnacare incase that isn't helping.
How silly of me to think it would happen so quickly and that I had any chance of a bfp in October .

@ScarletDreams it's strange isn't it, when you're younger you wish you didn't have periods & now you literally can't wait for it 🤦🏻‍♀️ I hope she arrives soon, I know what you're going through I was wishing for mine & thought we'd be pregnant by March, wishful thinking 🙄 hope you're ok? xx

Hi everyone, hope you don’t mind me jumping on!
This is my 2nd month but first proper cycle as we decided mid cycle last month to ttc.
Ive decided against using OPKs as used clearblue digi last month and had 4 days worth of peak! (2 test holders) and it just confused me.
Just going by CM, which has now changed to EWCM
BD complete, I expect by my o pain that ovulation is today, impossible to know really but I can definitely feel a constant ache around my ovary and it can’t be anything else.
I’m feeling quite optimistic actually, I know I shouldn’t, Dh works away a lot so yesterday evening is the only day we’ve managed to BD!
It’s going to be a long tww!

I have an update on my blood test. My LH & FSH levels are lower than they should be. She said I am ovulating but these levels aren't where they should be. I had a mini meltdown and had to see my mum for a mum hug. DH doesn't quite understand why I was so upset. It was the feeling that something is wrong with me. I'm probably reading to much in to it though. I still have one more blood test to go so hopefully the levels will change. She did say that she could refer me to the fertility clinic depending on the next results but it would have to be private not NHS due to DH having kids already. It's all been a bit shit today. Still no sign of AF though. Due Friday so we will see. xx

im sorry you’re having some issues, we haven’t had any luck yet either, not a snifter of anything and I had my implant out in feb. I’ve decided if there’s no joy this month, I’ll head to the drs. My sister had her levels checked and they were on the low side- she warned me mine could be too but then she went on and got pregnant in one go so don’t lose hope! Better that something like that is the ‘cause’ than something totally unmanageable. I’m terrified DP might just be too old 😔 I guess we’ll see.

I have calmed down now. I know that I was being ridiculous to be frustrated this early on 😅 I think, because it felt like such a big decision for us to go from preventing to ttc, that I just wanted to get on with things ASAP so the delay wasn't in the plan haha. That and having a bit of a rubbish time at work had put me in to a sulking mood for a few days. I'm all good now tho.
Actually, I have had a bit of spotting today so it may be here finally 🙌

I'm sorry to hear that you haven't got the news you was hoping for from your blood tests. As you have said, hopefully some better news from the next test. It sounds a bit unfair that you would have to go private if they were to refer you, but hopefully it won't need to come to that. X

I'm still on this thread right now as my next AF is due first week of November so my symptom spotting and TWW will still be this month!

So I had my super weird AF this month with the few days of spotting first and then a couple of days as usual but it was lighter than normal

This is now my second cycle after coming off cerelle, so as my cycles probably aren't settled I'm not really tracking with ovulation kits, I'm just using my fitness app with a cycle tracker which predicts fertile windows, periods etc then you just plot yourself in when things happen!

Today I'm having lower back ache, some small cramps etc, been feeling sick occasionally usually in the night if I wake up and feel dizzy with it! My app says my fertile window starts tomorrow so I'm assuming it could be ovulation pains but part of me was hoping it's pregnancy test just doesn't show up on tests until late 🤦‍♀️🤣

When we conceived DS we found out on the 22nd August, and I'd had a very small short AF about 3 weeks before starting on 27th July! I remember the dates as AF came the morning of my cousins wedding!

Do you guys think it's worth testing once more now to be sure? As it's the same sort of gap?

Last month I tested 10dpo and bfn, then had my light AF that lasted 6 days.
So obviously didn’t test anymore.
Obviously I got my BFP last night but I thought I was 2dpo so actually pregnant from last month !

@Mannymoomin ooooh! That means there's still hope for me! When we found out last time I used the digital and it said 1-2 weeks so it was definitely too early to be from the cycle I thought I was on then as it would have been a little over a week since AF had arrived! I am sure that bleed was like 2 days at most though so won't get over excited!

I think this one was spotting from the 29th September, until the 4th when it went into more of a period, and that lasted 6 days but did mainly ease off after about 4 so I don't know 🤷‍♀️

Congrats on the BFP! :D wanting to go out and grab a test tonight but DH isn't fully convinced it's worth rushing to asda for 🤣 will have to sneak out tomorrow while he's working 🤣🤣 kinda excited but also have a bottle of wine calling me so would rather know so I know if I can answer it 🤣🤣🤣

Hello all, I was briefly on the last thread but I disappeared at 11dpo when AF arrived unexpectedly early.
AF lasted 6 days but it was quite light compared to usual. But then I was using period pants for the first time and thought they were efficient.
It was also the first cycle me and DH decided to try for no4, but we were quite late in deciding so it was mid cycle and sure I missed O day.
Anyway, today I was what I thought was 2dpo and counting down the days to test this month.
Have had some brown spotting and just randomly threw up, don’t know why but decided to test.
I’m gobsmacked

Obviously I felt like a massive tit after having 3 pregnancies.
Told DH last month about AF arriving.
ditched OPKs this month because of the 3 day peak last month which threw me, so was going by app and CM, which funnily enough I had a gush of EWCM coinciding with Flo ovulation prediction.
last month we only dtd once, and it was 36 hours after first pos OPK, naturally I assumed I was out due to planning ttc too late that cycle.
Got my rush of EWCM and got BD same evening, that was literally 3 days ago.
So we’ve only dtd twice in 2 months so I know when conception happened.

Like I said, I feel a tit, DH, on the other hand has grown an extra head due to the size of his ego

Hey everyone! Wondering if anyone has any success stories on getting BFP after AF due?

im currently 2/3 days late and BFN on cheapies! Never usually late so I’m a bit confused!

@Mannymoomin oh wow I will definitely pop out and get a test at some point either tonight or tomorrow! I had 2 increases of CM before AF, one was about where I was predicted to be in my ovulation window, my app usually gives like a 9 day period of ovulation the second was maybe even like a day or two before the spotting began!

The last few days I have had a little more CM but not consistently maybe like I'll notice it when I go for a wee but the next time I wee it's as normal so 🤷‍♀️ my boobs have been on and off tender, even after AF but not so much now. Like I said I'm feeling a little sicky, and like now if I'm turning my head side to side I can get a little-not dizzy -but woozy and sicky and that's been there on and off for a few weeks but we had a really bad bout of cold so thought it was from that but it's still there and I feel better!

I have noticed this last week I just get tired a lot more too! Don't get me wrong I'm almost always tired, as DS gets up early DH suffers with low iron so it is almost always me up in the mornings with DS but this week I've had to lie down on the sofa and just watch him and have been dozing off! Even on days my DS goes to nursery I usually fight the urge to nap but i haven't been able to this week! Even now I feel exhausted but I slept all morning after DS went to nursery so shouldn't feel this sleepy 🤷‍♀️

Nothing to feel like a tit about, TTC is the most difficult and frustrating thing ever and so many have different experiences! When I looked up implantation bleeding everything says 2 days bleed max, and I spoke with a woman in another thread and she had been having the exact same things as me and still didn't know what was happening! My DH will also have a big ego if I am pregnant already because like you there were few times we DTD last month 🤣 and because it was my first cycle off the pill aswell he'll think he's a fertility god 🤣

@Hjudge56 can't really help as my cycles have always been all over the place so never really knew if I was late or not 🤣 first time around I was a nightmare because I just took tests all the time, but my first faint positives were on cheapy tests the ones you dip into wee rather than pee on although I do always dip because I can't aim my wee properly 🤣🤣

If you are always like clockwork all I can say is keep testing, if nothing on the cheapies maybe try a digital one a lot of people recommend them over regular and it's the one I went by to confirm I was pregnant last time! Maybe just speak to the GP if still negative and no sign of AF, it can be from anything even stress can alter mine! Hopefully someone else will have better advice and hope you get the result you want :)

@staceymarieox thanks for your advice lovely! I actually woke up this morning to AF showing her ugly face!!! So onto a fresh new cycle!

I'm ok thank you. I'll be 5 weeks pregnant tomorrow. Feeling very nervous as have no symptoms but tests lovely and strong so trying to stay calm until my 7 week scan which is two weeks tomorrow 🤞🏽
