CD1 hoping for a BFP in October!

Hi, thought I'd start a new thread.

I'm 36 DH is 49. We've been trying for 8 months now, Sadly had a CP beginning of July. I have a GP appointment on the 27th to get the ball rolling if we don't conceive. AF arrived today so on to a new cycle.

Anyone else hoping for a BFP in October? xx

@TTC2022newbie exactly! I read about the 20% chance and thought exactly the same about how the accidental pregnancies happen.

A woman I work with announced her pregnancy, happened first cycle. I'm over the moon for her obviously, but also a little envious.

I'm sorry to hear that you have been feeling out of sorts this month. We are all here for you.
If you feel the need to take a month off, then do so. I think it's going to be a journey in which we need to be aware of needing to take a break and remove the pressure sometimes. If you have a holiday in Wales planned, then it may be a good time to have a month off from it all and reset.

You never know , an accident may happen ! X

Just can't believe how much it is consuming my mind! Like I knew when DH had a bad day and he was feeling tired at tea time etc that it wasn't going to happen and I felt crap! 😔🤦🏼‍♀️

I found out last month that my friend is TTC #2 and I thought it would be nice to share the journey with her but I'm so anxious she will get pregnant before me and announced it, now it feels like a race. I wish I didn't know she was TTC now!

I'm feeling so much better this evening and going to carry on with a mind set of 'this cycle hasn't worked' I'm not going to test early and just carry on DTD and not over thinking everything!!

I'm 1DPO according to my app 🤷🏼‍♀️ but knowing me it can be give or take 2/3 days.

@TTC2022newbie hey! Sorry been so busy with work & looking after my MIL (she has dementia) whilst my SIL is on holiday it's been a bit of a nightmare.

I'm doing ok! Feel like it's the longest period ever. I'm on the 6th day usually only lasts max 5. I think having covid has thrown everything this month 😢 I just want to start trying again.

So glad you're feeling better about it all. Don't forget it only takes that one little wriggler! Lol! I've got everything crossed for you hopefully the TTW will go quickly.

Hi all!!

Thought I'd join this journey as hoping we get a BFP in October for baby number two this month 🤞🏼

Found out I was pregnant at 12DPO at the beginning of September on a Friday and then come the Monday I was bleeding and it just got heavier by the Friday I was testing negative which is a bit sad but these things happen I guess! That was only our first cycle so I'm hoping this one is our one.

Fingers crossed for all of us, period is due on the 5th October so I hate this wait 😅

Which app do you use? I have downloaded a couple ready but until I have AF I can't begin to track properly.
I'm feeling OK, just keen to get on with ttc and also trying not to over think everything.

I'm so sorry about September. This is my 4th Cycle and just passed Ovulation ( I think) so on to the TWW!!! I can't imagine how hard it is to see a positive then a negative 😔

I'm glad I have joined and read things on here about CP and MC so I don't get my first BFP and start assuming that means I'll have a baby in 8/9months. Will be a very hard first few weeks.

Never thought it would be this emotionally hard TTC and I've not had a BFP at all yet!!

I must admit it was such an emotional rollercoaster. It was mentally draining too! It was trying to understand for yourself that everything happens for a reason and it just wasn't our time yet. What's hard after is all the crazy thoughts you get where you convince yourself you won't be able convince again, your mind really does play with you!!

I hope it's all positive news for you this month, will keep everything crossed for you 😄

@hevann glad you are doing ok. Sometimes when you're really busy with other things you don't have time to over think!

Yer I think next week will go quickly asni need to tie a load of stuff up with work before going away next Saturday and obviously pack next week too so I think I'll keep busy.

Just want to switch off from work and TTC on holiday really! Have a good break and come back ready to face anything 💪

I’m jumping on.
Technically I’m still in TWW and 4DPO, but DH and I only decided during this cycle that we’re ready ttc no4.
So we only dtd once in this cycle and it was 36hours after static smiley so I’m writing myself out for this cycle and hope to start trying properly once AF has been and gone.

CD9 for me and we've decided to do SMEP this month so we are going to be very busy and exhausted haha.

I have EWCM already and I do normally get about 7 days of it before ovulation so everything crossed for this month and a June baby!

@blueberry23 I don't know much about EWCM in my cycle, is that before ovulation or during? I had it last week which is my fertility window.

@TTC2022newbie I normally get it for 6 days before and then on ovulation day I get a lot - and then the day after ovulation it completely dries up! Good indicator of when you are fertile

I've got a doctors appointment tonight just to discuss options and see if there is anything we can do. Blood tests etc... I'm officially in my fertile window so just DTD waiting for ovulation 🤣 x

Little update from me.

I've had some shoulder pain today and my UTI still doesn't seem to have shifted so I contacted the doctor this afternoon.

She's now worried (or she worried me at least) about the shoulder pain potentially being ectopic pregnancy but don't currently have any other pain or bleeding.

She asked me to do a pregnancy test which was negative and to keep an eye on all my symptoms, if they get worse call 111 or go straight to A&E!! 😟😟

Now I'm just really worried.

She's given me 3 day antibiotics course for UTI too to get rid of it.

Any thoughts or experience with an ectopic pregnancy?

Is anyone else going mad with the TWW 🤯

I am so fed up of waiting already, been off work for 2 days because I've just feeling constantly sick, keep getting little twingey pains in my lower belly and my stomach just aches! My skin has been awful too 😩 so obviously because I'm home my thoughts are running wild!! Only 7DPO the month couldn't end quicker 🤦🏼‍♀️

@TTC2022newbie oh my gosh, I can only imagine your anxiety right now. I totally understand why you're worried. The doctors aren't always very tactful. I think I would take myself to A&E, I don't think I could bear the waiting just to see if anything else happens.

I'm so sorry you're going through this. Always here if you need a chat and a virtual hug.

Unfortunately I haven't had any experiences with ectopic pregnancies so I can't give any advice I've got everything crossed for you that it isn't and it's just the UTI playing tricks with your body and the antibiotics start to work quickly.

@jessiexo I really hope this is it for you and you get your BFP in a few days. The wait is always a nightmare especially when you're in the limbo time 6-9 days it just feels like it drags and the symptom spotting is horrendous. I hope you start to feel better soon🤞🏻 xx

I had my GP appointment last night, I'm booked in for blood tests, one on the 5th and the other on the 14th. I also have to do a urine sample and a rubella test. She did say that because my DH already has children we wouldn't be eligible for an NHS referral to the fertility clinic we would have to go private 🙄 although after speaking with my sister afterwards she did say surely if the problem was me I should get referred 🤷🏻‍♀️ Which is a good point! I didn't even think to ask the doctor that. I'll have to wait til my next appointment to find out.

Wish my body would just do what it's supposed too instead of making it all so complicated! x

@hevann Thank you so much for your message yesterday, really appreciate it. I got my nails done last night and the lady who does them used to be a midwife and worked at a fertility clinic.

She helped a lot actually and the shoulder pain has pretty much gone now.

We talked about the test you can get at a private fertility clinics and she said it is really good. So yes I agree if you can get it on the NHS but if you have the money, going private might be better and get more answers.
If you're paying for it you'll expect more from the service and answers whereas the NHS might not go into as much detail! 🤷🏼‍♀️ But I don't know. Just my thoughts.

I also talked to my nail lady about OPKs as I'm not currently using them because I'm fairly convinced when I ovulate, however the wait after ovulation and until AF is not necessary always 2 weeks so I might be ovulating at a different time... I didn't know that!

Interest and I might invest in OPKs.
I did a test this morning and was negative to rule out ectopic pregnancy but now I don't know if that means I'm out this month now!! I'm roughly 7/8 DPO I think but probably still early.

Also are we all aware that lube can act as a barrier for the sperm so don't just use the normal one!

How are you all doing?

Im pretty sure it's 1dpo for me.

I had intense ovulation pains yesterday evening and we dtd yesterday, the day before and then two days before that so hoping we are in with a good shot this month.

I was hoping to dtd tonight too but I'm not feeling great 😫 my EWCM has totally dried up so do you reckon it's safe to say ovulation has passed? I get a lot of it for about 5 days normally up to ovulation.

My only hesitation is that it's CD13 for me today so would make ovulation a little early this month!

Maybe we will skip today and do tomorrow instead.

I find the whole pressure to have sex during fertile week pretty difficult tbh. Feels so forced.
