Our SMEP plans continue.... The old thread is almost full, so I started a new thread so we can continue on SMEP-ing to a BFP ✨☺️✨

@NSx I had zero symptoms with my daughter until nearly 7 weeks, had no idea I was pregnant! Only took a test as I felt like there was something really wrong with me as felt so weird and poorly then realised I couldn’t remember when I last had AF 😂

Well my temp has dropped today, so I imagine AF will come tomorrow … onto the next cycle I guess 😵‍💫 @allgoodthings84

@NSx it's so hard seeing that temp drop isn't it 😕 I'm trying to look for the positives, as each cycle gives me a better understanding of how my body tends to do things, so having properly looked back through the last three cycles that I tracked properly for, I now realise that actually I usually ovulate around CD12/13, and my LP is actually 16 days, so this fits with my period arriving yesterday evening. It also means I know we need to start DTD as soon as my period finishes! So I've warned my partner that from Sunday he'll need to just keep driving back over to mine every other day until Thursday then be here every night until the following Monday 🤦🏻‍♀️ going to have to accept the fuel cost for that week!

I'm also going to try not to test before 16dpo, so not buying anymore FRER now until I'm at that point in my cycle, as my BBT obviously tells me if there's the possibility of pregnancy if it doesn't drop on 15/16dpo, and that's free 🤦🏻‍♀️😅

@allgoodthings84 are you going to wait a bit longer before testing this cycle? I usually get the urge to test at 10dpo 😖

@LucyFraser1981 it’s great that you can see your pattern now 😊. I never test early so haven’t taken any tests at all yet. I know AF always arrives 13dpo so I just wait. My RHR is all over the place at the moment. I’m not sure if it’s my old Fitbit or if it’s my body so I’m ignoring it this cycle and going by CM and OPK’s

@allgoodthings84 hmmm that's frustrating, hope your new fitbit resolves things!

I've just booked a fertility consultation, scan and AMH blood test for Friday 7th October, so I'm hoping that will give me some good news/reassurance about the probability of success. My partner has an appointment with a gp at his new surgery this Friday to hopefully be booked in for a sperm analysis, so that's basically all we can do now practically, besides dtd a lot 😅

@LucyFraser1981 fingers crossed for you that everything is all good. I would like a scan really because of the spotting but GP says I need to have the normal bloods first and going private will be really difficult at the moment as nothing local enough for me to have a good excuse for work

@NSx i missed your post I’m sorry. I hope it goes back up again for you or is wrong. We are becoming pros at moving into the next cycle but it’s still horrible

@LucyFraser1981 @allgoodthings84 honestly after a few months of disappointment I’m kind of over it. The hope of falling pregnant is slowly leaving me to be replaced with the thoughts of it never happening!
At this point I just want AF to come tomorrow so atleast I know my cycle is normal and I can move on, can’t be bothered feeling like my period isn’t coming and I’m not pregnant.
next cycle I will monitor my bbt closely as it really does indicate a lot & I certainly will not be testing early!

@NSx to be honest in my mind I think it’s never going to happen for me either. I have no reason as yet to think that but I’m losing hope. If/when I get a bfp I think I’ll be in actual real shock. I won’t believe it

Hello everyone, have been trying not to obsess over TTC so thought I'd spend some time away from these boards. Sorry that AF arrived @LucyFraser1981 and the timing of your bloods got messed up. I always feel a bit better when I have a plan, sounds like you have one for the next cycle. Sorry your temp has dropped too @NSx, I really understand your disappointment, I tend to cry when I get a BFN or AF arrives each month. It's just so hard not to feel disappointed and like it will never happen. It's really, really tough.
I'm currently 9dpo. Had my bloods on Friday and had to pop in to the drs today for a prescription for something unrelated so asked on the off chance the result was back, and it was. Receptionist just said it was 'normal' don't know any numbers of anything but guess normal is a good thing?!

I will need to reschedule mine as going to be ovulating a couple days later than I booked for (ovulation varies by 4 days so had to guess when I booked). I’m confused though as I don’t know whether to time it for 7dpo, 7 days before AF or half way through my LP? I’m fairly sure I’m going to peak tomorrow on CD13 as my test earlier was similar to it always is the evening before. If not tomorrow will be Thursday. As soon as I peak I’ll call the GP to change the date.

@fsr111 i hope you’re ok? It’s easier said than done ‘not obsessing’ isn’t it?
I cry too - it’s honestly a lot 😩.. call your Gp’s they can give you ur figures over the phone, or they can print them for u. (I work in a doctors office so that’s what I could do for someone)- Or if u really want u can ask for a telephone consult to discuss it with a Gp (probs will need to wait a bit) I love data and I’m nosey so I always want to know exact numbers … however if it’s normal it means it’s within the normal thresholds and the doctors aren’t worried.

@allgoodthings84 i too will be shocked now, tbh it took me about 3 cycles in feb - or say 2.5 as the first I wasn’t bothered about much and it was December so I was out drinking living my best life. 😂
now I’ll be starting cycle 4 once AF starts but I honestly can’t see it happening - it’s so frustrating 😩😩😩

@NSx - yep! Definitely easier said than done! Have found I was ok this cycle until about yesterday and then suddenly I was symptom spotting and feeling disappointed because I'm convinced I have all the usual AF symptoms already. It's so frustrating. Determined not to test this cycle. I might call back the dr for the actual figures printed out. Feel like I want all the facts, and "normal" didn't cut it! Are you following SMEP again this cycle @allgoodthings84?

@fsr111 I always get AF symptoms before too and the spotting and it brings me down every cycle. I’m on cycle 5 now and feel like it’s never going to happen

we dtd CD7, CD10 and CD12. I had a high reading last night at 11pm and a high reading just now (higher than last night) so think I’m going to miss my peak as I have a fast surge. Not sure if it was overnight or will be in a couple hours but I know it will be lower again by the time I can test next at 5pm which is a shame. I hate missing it as then feel like I need to carry on 🤦‍♀️ for days just in case

@fsr111 yea call them and get figures - although if you don’t understand what the figures mean you can end up going down a rabbit hole of Googling, in that case I would ask to speak to a GP so they can tell you what their normal thresholds are. (Remember they can be diff for different parts of your cycle) … AF due for me today my temp has dropped below cover line so now I’m just patiently waiting so I can start a fresh new cycle 😩

Does anyone know if the bloods should be 7dpo, 7 days before AF or half way through the LP as it will make a difference to me which day I should rebook them for?

Just got a reading of 1.18 so will go as peak on the app but I know my peak is higher so will have been a couple hours ago or in a couple hours. At least being over 1 I know it’s CD13 peak

@NSx mine will be a 26 day cycle 😩 so not sure whether to go 7dpo or half way through my LP which would be 6dpo. I guess one day won’t make much difference but my GP didn’t seem to understand that day 21 might not work for me (although day 21 will be 7dpo this cycle but I only have a 12 day LP so isn’t half way like it is for a 14 day LP).

I’ll just go 7dpo and hope for the best and if it’s low ask if I can repeat maybe

Well as per my system it’s days 20-22 based on a 28 day cycle. So it seems it doesn’t have to be exactly on the button.

if you get weird results they will ask u to repeat anyways so try not to worry ✨ @allgoodthings84

@NSx I only worry as I’ve already had to move my tests more than once for various reasons m and I’m 38 in November so worry be very month counts so want to try and get it right to get the right answers. I’m now thinking maybe 6dpo as my LP is only 12 days and 6dpo is ok from your screen shot for 14 day LP so shouldn’t be too early for a 12 day one. Then I worry it’s too early and should do 7dpo as my RHR tends to peak later in my LP 😂 I just don’t know what the best date for a 12 day LP is

@allgoodthings84, I had the blood test 6dpo because it was a weekend and it didn't make any difference so I think either day will be ok, I even checked with the dr before booking it and she said it was totally fine

@fsr111 fingers crossed 🤞 I went with 6dpo as half way through my LP and only one day from 7dpo to try and play it safe 😂. If I had a 14 day normal LP phase I would have gone for 7dpo. They are booked now so fingers crossed all be ok. Hopefully I do ovulate day after a peak ha ha. I’m pretty sure I do. I booked my day 3 bloods too as I now know what day that will be
