Our SMEP plans continue.... The old thread is almost full, so I started a new thread so we can continue on SMEP-ing to a BFP ✨☺️✨

@LucyFraser1981 let me know how ur partner gets on, I wouldn’t mind my partner doing one but don’t know how easily they agree to that in a GP’s I’m glad you got to rebook 🤞
Nope I haven’t tested as I don’t have one smudgen of hope that I am, I don’t have any symptoms really so I doubt I’ve been successful so that’s stopping me from testing - I’ll wait and see if AF comes Tuesday 😂😅

I checked on my system at work and it says —

‘>20nmol/L is consistent with ovulation, if sample has been taken on day 20-22 of a 28 day cycle’

@LucyFraser1981 I’m sure it’s only low because of having the test later. If your LP is the same even though you ovulated earlier I’m sure you’re ovulating. There’s a chance I’ll have to move my test depending when I ovulate as mine varies from CD12 to CD15. I did it based on CD12 as thought would be easier to push back than bring forwards and last 2 cycles were CD12.

@NSx the GP was the one who suggested a sperm analysis to us. So was very easy to get but there’s a longer wait time on it (3-4 weeks) but then again that could be because my partner can only do Thursdays. It may have been easy for us because I have a child and he doesn’t though maybe. She said to me that it will be assumed that the issue could more likely be my partner as I’ve had a child and he hasn’t even though she’s 7 now and a lot can change between late 20s (was 29) and about to be late 30s (38 in November). I’m not worried it’s him as he’s 32 and hasn’t tried to have a child before that’s why he’s not had one 😂. I am interested though just in case

@NSx I think they're pretty good about referring for it, my partner had one done about three years ago when he was with his ex-wife, so I'm hoping they'll do another one as he's nearly 41 now as well.

Well this cycle will only have been 25/26 days, so I'd have needed to have had the bloods done at the end of last week/over the weekend really for it to have been accurate, as they ended up being done on 12dpo, rather than the preferred 7dpo 🤦🏻‍♀️

@LucyFraser1981 as its 5 days later than recommended 7dpo I imagine that’s definitely the only reason the readings are low

@allgoodthings84 that's what I'm thinking too, especially as my bbt chart shows a standard temperature shift etc. I guess I still want the bloods for official reassurance 🤦🏻‍♀️😅 debating whether to book a private AMH blood test, but it's £80 and I've had an expensive month 😬

@LucyFraser1981 what’s an AMH test? I would go for day 21 bloods again then see before spending £80 if they measure a similar thing

@allgoodthings84 AMH basically gives a good indication of how many and how healthy your remaining eggs are, it's one of the really useful tests when you're older and TTC as can give an indication of likelihood of things happening naturally, or whether interventions are needed sooner rather than later, e.g IVF treatment.

@LucyFraser1981 I think it's worth getting a private amh test. Friends of mine have had it done it, and recommended it. Just let's you know where you stand in terms of eggs and likelihood of ivf success etc. If nothing happens for me soon, I'll get a private fertility review I think.

I'm two days away from my period. Still getting weird patches of ewcm, so not sure whether I've ovulated or not, seems my hormones are all over the place!

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 I think I'll definitely get the AMH test, and depending on what that shows will decide about further tests etc.

If I'd not been tracking my bbt and also knew that my progesterone is low, I'd have thought there may be a chance I'm pregnant, as AF isn't even hinting at arriving yet, really expected it to start yesterday evening or this morning 🙄😖

I just googled AMH test - medichecks seem to do one for £99 is that right ?

im 11dpo decided to use an IC and it was white as snow - AF due Tuesday so I’m out I think.

this whole ttc got me crying today, honestly that BFN had me in my bed in tears. All this so mentally taxing … im fed up.

@NSx IC aren’t designed to give an early bfp so don’t lose hope yet

@NSx I'm so sorry, it's horrible. As @allgoodthings84 says, ICs aren't the most sensitive tests. I imagine you're feeling under immense pressure atm with wanting to be pregnant before November I think. Really hope you're okay.

You probably don't need a private AMH test what with having been pregnant so recently. You know it all works, it just takes time to fully recover xx

@allgoodthings84 my LP is always either 14 or 15 days, and today is 15dpo, so if AF doesn't appear tomorrow then this cycle is totally different to normal. If my temp hadn't dropped yesterday and I'd not had bloods taken on Wednesday showing my progesterone is now low, then I'd think maybe I could be, but both of those are pretty accurate markers for bot being pregnant 😕
Might go and DTD now and see if that gets AF started 😅

I think you’re absolutely right - I do feel a bit pressured and it’s not happening as quickly as I had imagined so I’m thinking the worst & it’s getting to me a bit, maybe I’m being a bit irrational even.

@NSx I'm sorry it's so tough at the moment 😔 can you try and have a self care day tomorrow, or soon, and just focus on being in the moment, maybe going out for a woodland walk with your partner and just focus on nature and the season changing, get some lovely autumn air, have a hot chocolate, or something to bring you some relaxation? My dissertation and now work is all to do with facilitating mental health wellness groups in a forest school/woodland and it really is so good for your soul to just get out into the woods. Have a Google of forest bathing or forest meditation, I find it very healing when I'm feeling overwhelmed by life 💚 big hugs xx

Still no period, but my temp is now back to it's pre-ovulation range, below the coverline, plus obviously my progesterone level on Wednesday was low, so it can't be pregnancy. So now I'm worried that the early ovulation and longer luteal phase is my body going in to perimenopause 😕😕😕

Well my period has finally arrived this evening, so back to CD1 today.
Rebooked my day 21 bloods today as thought the appointment I've booked for this cycle would be too early, but now I think my new appointment will be a bit late again 🤦🏻‍♀️ typically its going to need to be done over the weekend, so I only have the Friday or Monday to choose from, so will see what happens and try and move it again if possible 😵‍💫
Decided I'm going to book an AMH test, so will call the fertility clinic tomorrow.

Where is everyone else now in their cycle?

I’m CD11 today. Last 2 cycles I peaked on CD11 but definitely not peaking today and doubtful will be tomorrow. A peak CD11-CD14 will be normal for me though. CD11 is the earliest and it used to only be a couple times a year so I’m thinking maybe I had 2 short cycles after the extra long one because of covid and now back to normal with any luck. Occasionally would peak CD16/17 but again it’s very rare. Downside I’ll have to rebook my bloods once I peak (so know when to book for) upside I won’t be on my proper period on my birthday now even if not pregnant!

as long as your bloods are done between day 20-22 I think it should be a good indication 👏🏼

@NSx ooo good luck fingers crossed AF won’t arrive for you. My watch is due Friday as it’s a preorder not released until Thursday. I can’t wait ha ha. I’m not going set the skin temp thing until after the next AF as they base it all off your baseline temperature that you put in although I guess it doesn’t really matter as it will still show an increase and drop whenever I set the base
