@NSx I’m really sorry AF has arrived 😞. At least it’s a good sign we are regular when AF arrives same time after ovulation every month?

@fsr111 i hope AF stays away for you

we really need some luck and some bfp here. We all want it so bad

NSx · 28/09/2022 14:15

@fsr111 thanks honey, I hope you get your BFP and don’t find yourself in this ttc madness for another cycle πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.

im going all out on supplements this cycle @LucyFraser1981 im doing my Pregnacare, omega 3, starflower, ubiquinol & vitamin d πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
I don’t know what more I can take at this point for egg quality and to conceive πŸ˜…πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

LucyFraser1981 · 28/09/2022 14:38

@allgoodthings84 my research basically concluded that 7dpo was best for progesterone bloods as that's when it's at its peak, but I'm sure 6dpo should be fine too. I may have to bloody well move mine back after panicking and getting my cycle mathematics all wrong πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸ˜…

@NSx just keep an eye on things with the pregnacare as it apparently mucks up some people's cycles, so I ended up going with individual supplements (folate, D, C, magnesium, ubiquinol and E before ovulation!)

Had to have a serious conversation with my partner this morning, because he's self employed, and I'm just super worried about him finding new customers when we move next year, as it'll be too far for him to keep his old ones, plus he just doesn't charge enough, so I basically said if he wants to stay self employed we'll have to stop TTC, which means no baby as by the time he's established it'll likely be too late for me to conceive (I'm 41 now, will be nearly 42 by the time we move next summer, so even if he'd managed to get established customers within six months/a year I'd still be worried about our finances, and we'd not be able tonstart trying until I'd be nearly 43!!) - so he's agreed he needs to find an employed position, to guarantee our financial stability, so we're still going to keep TTC for now πŸ€žπŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«

I'm so grumpy that our age has basically taken away any choice we have in the matter, because if we don't get pregnant within the next 6/12 months I really don't think we ever will have a child together πŸ˜”

LucyFraser1981 · 28/09/2022 14:38

Sorry, that was a bit of a venting/brain dump post of my current stress πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

allgoodthings84 · 28/09/2022 16:10

@LucyFraser1981 bugger. When I was looking all the places that said 7dpo was basing it on 14 day LP and 1 website (the Ava one) said it should be half way through your LP as that’s the peak and another said 5-7 days dpo/5-7 days before your period so I went for 6dpo as that fitted both those options having a 12 day LP. At least I know the day 3 will be perfect timing πŸ˜‚ day 3 is day 3 for everyone

I think with how things are at the moment being in employment is definitely a safer option than self employed but if you got a job where he is now wouldn’t he have the same issue when moving? If his clients will be too far won’t his job be too far?

I’ worried about getting a mortgage next year with my partner after todays news. He’s already got a mortgage so it wouldn’t be a new buyer (even though I don’t have one) but it would be a new mortgage together

NSx · 28/09/2022 16:47

@LucyFraser1981 im on Pregnacare already this will be my 3rd month on it … so far my last 2 cycles were 28 and 29 days (the one before that was 29 aswell) so seems to be ok, but will keep an eye thank you. What dosage are u taking of ubiquinol? I think I may have asked before…
if you don’t mind me asking what is it your partner works as?
life is so stressful; however I think if you really want a baby I don’t think you should let that stop you, as later in life I would hate you to look back and wish you had had a baby together - I have my fingers crossed for you that he gets lots of new clients! Is the move necessary?

@allgoodthings84 you’re the second person I’ve seen write about mortgages today, I’m a bit out of the loop what has happened today?
would he just keep his house then if he already has a mortgage ?
I honestly think day6, day7 it will be swings and round abouts … I’ll ask a doctor tomorrow and see what they suggest when I’m at work for u

allgoodthings84 · 28/09/2022 16:55

@NSx Basically mortgage interest rates are about to go through the roof so much so that banks are refusing new mortgages. Also anyone who isn’t on a fixed rate mortgage are going to get hit.We can’t move into his property as he has a tiny one bed flat an hour away from me. I have my daughter here so we need a 3 bed property ideally if we are having a child as sharing rooms won’t be ideal as my daughter is already 7. I also won’t uproot her from here to move an hour away so needs to be a new property together. We would put off ttc after moving in together but as I’m 38 in 5 weeks it worries us putting it back

allgoodthings84 · 28/09/2022 17:02

And @NSx thanks for checking the 6dpo/7dpo thing for me 😊

fsr111 · 28/09/2022 17:38

It's all so stressful when TTC and navigate everything else life throws at you @allgoodthings84 @LucyFraser1981. I'm really ready to change jobs and have been putting it off for about 18 months thinking I'll be pregnant by end of last year. Won't be pregnant by end of this year at this rate and could have been well established before any mat leave! Called the Drs back on your advice @NSx. Said level was 54nmol/l so well above the 30 marker so guessing that's all good. Immediately panicked it was probably too high though of course! 🀣🀣

NSx · 28/09/2022 18:39

@allgoodthings84 ah that makes sense then - how awful that this country is in such a state that it affects everyone’s lives like this.
we bought our house this year in April, we had everything approved last year but it was only built in April, seems I’ve just missed all this - it sounds so stressful, I’m so sorry you’re dealing with this!
no probs I’ll let you know if I get an answer …

@fsr111 i think it all depends on when you ovulate etc … I ovulated cd15 and had my bloods cd22 - but my bloods were done at 8.30am, so not even sure if they were at their highest but they were high enough to confirm ovulation so I think that’s all that matters.
if they were too high they would advise of too much progesterone, so don’t worry 🀞❀️

allgoodthings84 · 28/09/2022 18:44

@NSx oh gosh don’t give me something else to worry about πŸ˜‚ my appointment is 8.37 (not a typo it’s really that precise) on 6dpo. Now I’m thinking I should have booked for 7dpo but then it’s not half way through my LP πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ 6dpo is CD20 though

NSx · 28/09/2022 18:48

@allgoodthings84 as long as your levels come back within the limits I wouldn’t worry too much πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
the blood appts in my gps are 8 min long so they give one 08.30 one 08.38 πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ as a receptionist it’s bloody awkward trying to give these appts to people πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
just stick to what ur appt is - don’t over think it ur within the 3 day threshold ❀️

allgoodthings84 · 28/09/2022 18:58

@NSx yea that’s what the receptionist said when I said β€œooo that’s very precise” she said they are expected to be 7 minutes so get booked 7 minutes apart πŸ˜‚. I think I’m worrying because I think there’s something wrong with my progesterone because of the spotting.

allgoodthings84 · 28/09/2022 19:00

I guess if someone was 7dpo on a Saturday they would have to go for 6dpo or 9dpo though so at least I’m not worrying about that

pixiecircle · 28/09/2022 19:26

Hi all, hope it’s okay to join! I didn’t think we’d get there but we managed to follow SMEP this month!! Well, todays the break day so just one more dtd tomorrow… my temps haven’t confirmed ovulation yet so was wondering if we should dtd tonight or maybe tomorrow will be enough in case it’s late? Kinda want a break but also don’t wanna risk missing the egg after all this bonking πŸ˜‚

For my day 21 tests, I right messed up the dates due to getting covid in the same month which made me ovulate late… ended up doing my bloods 11DPO (5 days before AF) and GP said it was all fine πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

For anyone else wondering about test results, I was able to get mine on the NHS app so may be worth a try!

allgoodthings84 · 28/09/2022 20:07

Hi @pixiecircle welcome to the group. I always try SMEP but usually end up missing one of the days πŸ˜‚ mostly because it usually ends up needing to be 4 days in a row and we struggle with chances for that. We usually get 3 or 4 goes in fertile time. I haven’t once strictly followed SMEP (even though I try every time) but the ladies here are so lovely I don’t want to leave

That’s really interesting that the test results could be on nhs app. Are they just with the list of past appointments? It’s been years since I’ve had a blood test for anything. Actually think it was when I was pregnant 8 years ago πŸ˜‚

allgoodthings84 · 28/09/2022 20:14

@pixiecircle ahhh I can see now I need to contact my GP for a more detailed record on my nhs app. My surgery is directly opposite my daughters school so I’ll pop in on my way to pick up tomorrow afternoon and request it. That will save me ringing until I have all results (mine and my partners) and can book a follow up discussion with the GP

fsr111 · 28/09/2022 20:46

@pixiecircle hey πŸ‘‹πŸ» glad you joined us! SMEP is such a slog so well done for nearly finishing! πŸ˜‚ I'd have a rest if it were me, besides this method everyone else seems to say every other
is plenty so fingers crossed one day won't hurt! @allgoodthings84, 7dpo was a Saturday for me so I had the bloods on the Friday. Test was at 8.50am and result was high so I really don't think you need to worry too much (easy for me to say!)

fsr111 · 28/09/2022 20:47

Ps. @pixiecircle, have just looked at my NHS app and have seen appointments and prescriptions but not results. Guessing our surgery don't add those. Hadn't even thought to look on that app for anything though so thanks for suggesting it!

allgoodthings84 · 28/09/2022 21:39

@fsr111 Thank you I feel a bit better about 6dpo now as my LP is 12 days not 14 (unfortunately 😞) so half way like 7dpo is half way for a 14 day LP. I’m really worried it’s the damned spotting. I think with the blood results you have to speak to the GP surgery to ask for those to be added to your online account because with your request it’s just the basic stuff. I’m going to ask tomorrow for all my record to be available on my account. Will be so much easier

allgoodthings84 · 28/09/2022 21:39

@fsr111 without the request that meant to say not with

pixiecircle · 29/09/2022 07:37

@fsr111 @allgoodthings84 ahh yes you’ll need to ask for access to your detailed coded records β€” I sent a message online and it was activated within a couple days. Was an absolute game changer but I did end up sitting there refreshing the app alot πŸ˜‚

woohoo temps finally confirmed ovulation and I’m now 3DPO!! How is everyone getting on??

@allgoodthings84 how come it usually ends up being 4 days? I’ve been told any LP over 10 days is normal. GP told me day 21 is 7 days before AF, which if you had a 10 day LP would be 3DPO… I think your method makes better sense (halfway through LP)!!

@fsr111 now temps have confirmed I’m def glad I took that break!! If this cycle doesn’t work out I’ll probs start EOD a bit later… CD8 seems early when I don’t usually ovulate until CD16-20.

allgoodthings84 · 29/09/2022 07:48

@pixiecircle 4 days because of how our every other day until peak works out as often peak the day after dtd.

I’m now not sure what’s going on with me as my readings are still high (not peak but very high) and my surge is always fast so not idea if today is even ovulation day which means my rest may end up being 5dpo so now thinking if I should try and move it to the following day so it’s definitely at least 6dpo if not 7dpo. My RHR is sane as yesterday too when in normally goes up ovulation day but we all know at the moment I can’t rely on my rhr. I hate this

allgoodthings84 · 29/09/2022 07:49

Test not test

allgoodthings84 · 29/09/2022 07:49

Test not rest πŸ˜‚
