@allgoodthings84 that's great!! So glad he took your concerns on board and you have a plan moving forward. Nice to feel like you're being heard ☺️

allgoodthings84 · 02/11/2022 11:08

@pomdownunder1 definitely. He was very much assuring me that my LP is fine and my progesterone at day 21 is fine etc but he took my spotting concerns seriously. He didn’t personally think that it’s a concern as my progesterone is high at 6dpo whereas if the spotting was because of progesterone then he would have expected it to have been a lot lower because it would have had to have been a massive crash but he said he can tell it’s really worrying me and he’s aware spotting before AF can be a progesterone thing for some people so wants to try and help. He just doesn’t think it’s my reason because of the high result I got at 6dpo. I did say but couldn’t it have been that high because I was pregnant that cycle and he said not at 6dpo it’s too early for it to have had that much affect even if I had already implanted which was also unlikely although not impossible but take the test again as already booked so he can send results to gynae for them to contact me and advise me further

LucyFraser1981 · 02/11/2022 16:08

@allgoodthings84 ahh I'm so glad to hear this! Having and understanding and supportive doctor is such a relief! Keeping my fingers crossed they don't find any issues and it's just a waiting game for you πŸ€žπŸ€

I've been in A&E allllll day with my partner, as he'd been having a pain in his chest for a few days, and had had it a couple of weeks ago, although it then turns out that the pain had NEVER gone away, he'd just told me it had so I wouldn't worry! Anyway, after ECG, bloods, chest x-ray and examinations he's been told his heart is fine and he's very healthy and it's probably severe heartburn, so been prescribed high dose omeprazole and cocodamol, to review in 14 days. If pain's gone then it was heartburn, if not then they'll do further tests. Doctor agreed we were right to come in to be checked, so I'm feeling reassured and justified. Phew.
Absolutely shattered now as was up at 6am and didn't get back until just after 2pm, and hadn't eaten or drunk in all that time!

Anyway, in terms of baby making, we dtd again last night, and I got my forst flashing smiley today, so he's back tomorrow onwards. I also had a teeny but of EWCM when I took out my nixit disc this morning, which is good news for me as I've not noticed any for AGES, so think soke of the supplements are helping 😊

allgoodthings84 · 02/11/2022 17:57

@LucyFraser1981 it definitely felt good that he didn’t try and make me feel like I was being silly. He did say that he doesn’t think it’s anything to do with progesterone personally and the miscarriage one of those awful things but he doesn’t want me to keep on worrying if my mind can be put at ease. He will do what he can but he said gynae may say I have to wait for 3 miscarriages but we will see.

I’m glad your partner is ok and definitely worth going to be checked. My dad had a heart attack in April and he said it wasn’t that painful so he didn’t realise what it was until he got to hospital and they told him and operated right away. He knew something wasn’t right but not what it was. It’s always worth getting checked

LucyFraser1981 · 02/11/2022 18:52

@allgoodthings84 definitely be good to get the reassurance if it is sadly just one of those things, and it is so so common, it's just we don't really talk about just how common miscarriage actually is πŸ˜” I think I had a MMC end of June, but it was such a faint positive, albeit on a FRER, which never showed up again on furtehr FRER tests, I'm not really sure if it was or wasn't πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ I'm keeping everything crossed that we have some luck in here soon πŸ€πŸ’—

Absolutely, so many people I know have familial anecdotes the same as yours, that their father/grandfather etc though it was just indigestion, or a muscle strain etc. I would always rather get stuff checked out and find it's something simple, rather than ignore a potentially life changing/fatal problem. A friend of ours (only tuend 40 this year) ended up having two open heart surgeries this year and two valve replacements because his GP didn't take how serious his "viral" symptoms were, and it's only when he happened to collapse in the gp waiting room that they realised something was really wrong, and it turned out he had endocarditis! He was in hospital for months! So I told my partner if he wouldn't go to A&E today that I'd call this friend, who he's been best friends with since we were 12, and he would 100% back me up and tell my partner in no uncertain terms to get himself to A&E, and he knew he would, so he gave in πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸ˜…

allgoodthings84 · 02/11/2022 19:30

@LucyFraser1981 its so bad how common it is. Apparently 50% of women who ttc in their life have at least 1 miscarriage. So if I’m honest I know it probably is just one of those things but if I can get more specialist advice then fantastic. It was good to hear that he thinks my progesterone would have been high when I had the bloods even I hadn’t been pregnant that cycle as I was thinking maybe it was only high because of that but he’s sure it wouldn’t have made much difference at 6dpo even if I had implanted already. It really surprised me how empathic he was as usually he’s a bit of an arse. He’s either changed over the last 5 years or he’s been through or knows someone who’s been through trouble

fsr111 · 03/11/2022 06:52

@LucyFraser1981 sorry to hear you had such a stressful day yesterday! So glad DP was OK, you were definitely right to get him checked out, no point taking any chances with that kind of thing. Being in hospital is exhausting though, hope you got an early night and a good night's sleep. @allgoodthings84 great to hear your GP was more understanding and proactive than you thought, always good to just feel like you have been heard when you speak to them. When will your day 21 bloods be?

allgoodthings84 · 03/11/2022 10:00

@fsr111 they will be Monday morning on 7dpo. Last time they were 6dpo which is half way through my LP but that’s Sunday this time.

NSx · 03/11/2022 20:34

Sorry I’ve been quiet -
I just found out my OH best friend had their baby girl, she was supposed to be born a week before my baby girl and honestly I’ve never felt pain and heartache like this.
i feel bad and I feel horrible for feeling like this as I am happy for them, but I actually feel like I don’t know how I’m supposed to just get over it …
I haven’t stopped crying …

i hope you’re all ok πŸ’—πŸ’—πŸ’—

allgoodthings84 · 03/11/2022 21:01

@NSx I’m so sorry 😒 your feeling are totally valid. You can still be happy for them at the same time as feeling devastated for yourself. You can’t just get over it you just need time and hopefully you will get a bfp asap πŸ’•

LucyFraser1981 · 03/11/2022 22:46

@allgoodthings84 it's scary isn't it? I know my mum had three miscarriages between me and my sister, not sure if she had any before she conceived me. It's still not something that we talk about, and I can understand why, but I think it might help if we knew just how common it is, and not blame ourselves quite so much?
I'm so glad your GP has mellowed, for whatever reason πŸ’—

@fsr111 yep, I know I did the right thing in nagging him to get checked, it's just not worth the risk! I managed a whole 7 hours last night, which was double what I'd got on Tuesday night πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸ€£
How are you doing, what's your dtd schedule?! πŸ˜… think we're both cd9 today?

@NSx I'm so sorry you're hurting, and I absolutely echo what allgoodthings84 said, your feelings are valid and totally normal and allowed, and you're allowed to feel happy for your friends but still feel angry and hurt and heartbroken for yoruself. Try to be kind to yourself πŸ’—

LucyFraser1981 · 03/11/2022 22:47

@fsr111 sorry, meant cd10! πŸ™„πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸ€£

fsr111 · 04/11/2022 06:53

@NSx, I'm sorry that must feel really painful. As the others have said it's totally normal to feel everything you are feeling. Just try to be kind to yourself and put yourself and your feelings first. 🀍 @LucyFraser1981, yep CD11 now, only got my first flashing smiley this morning so so far DTD CD8, was going to go again yesterday but skipped it as we went to a firework display and it was all a rush, will go tonight instead. I think timing wise that will work out better for being the day before ovulation anyway. How about you? What's the plan? Have a fabulous weekend away! Do you go today?

LucyFraser1981 · 04/11/2022 08:03

@fsr111 well I had flashing smileys yesterday and day before, and because of this new ava fertility bracelet giving me higher temp readings as I turned it round to be on my inner wrist, FF is now thinking I ovulated on CD8 πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸ€£ Which I know isn't right as haven't had my peak reading (expecting it today), but our timings been good as we dtd CD6, 8 & 10 and will do again tonight and the rest of the weekend, so I'm not too worried about the temps. Not loving the ava to be honest, will probably go back to just manually temping next cycle!
Your timing sounds good too, is your usual ovulation closer to CD14 usually?

No, we're only away on Sunday night, but I'll be going over to my partner's this evening as I have decorating to get on with at his tomorrow (renovating the house to sell next year), so will do quiet boinking as he lives with his brother πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸ˜… but his brother's a Gamer so will have his fancy headphones on, so should be fine 😁 Then back to mine tomorrow evening and off down to Devon mid morning on Sunday in time to have a Sunday roast at the hotel πŸ˜‹
Do you have plans for the weekend?

fsr111 · 05/11/2022 09:17

@LucyFraser1981 hope the quiet bonking went well last night! πŸ˜‚ Our DD was at a sleepover with her grandparents for the night so DH and I got to DTD without any risk of intrusion! Haha! Then we went for a curry, so it was a good evening all round! Got a static smile today, which was a surprise but works out ok with the DTD-ing so far! Got the weekend off, often work Saturdays, but just a weekend of jobs for us. Nothing as nice as you! How are you doing @allgoodthings84? Hope the TWW isn't getting to you, I'm dreading it already. I follow someone on Instagram called Ceci_fertilityhand, she's worth a follow if you don't already. Has some relatable posts!

LucyFraser1981 · 05/11/2022 10:24

@fsr111 it did, eventually! Ended up staying up very late, so only finished dtd at 2am πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸ˜…
But I got my static smiley this morning too, so slightly later ovulation this cycle for me, compared to the previous two. Works out well though being on a weekend for a change though! Hoping our timing will be good enough for a chance this cycle 🀞 assuming I'll ovulate this evening or tomorrow, and as we should be dtd tonight and tomorrow night that's about as much as we can do πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ
Your evening sounds lush! Perhaps the curry spices jump-started ovulation a little earlier than normal πŸ€”πŸ€£

allgoodthings84 · 05/11/2022 11:52

@fsr111 it’s been fine as in my head I never expect to be pregnant even though it happened last cycle I just can’t ever see it happening. I also felt no different last cycle when I got pregnant than I do any cycle so I know to never bother symptom spotting. I had same pre AF feelings and same slightly sore and firmer boobs etc. the only difference was the stitch like pains one day but this could have been to do with the fact it wasn’t going to stick. I had no symptoms with my daughter or I just felt the same as pre AF so didn’t think anything of it as wasn’t ttc. I can’t really remember as so long ago but I know it was nothing to make me suspect as didn’t know until 6.5 weeks when it hit me AF hadn’t started and I felt awful πŸ˜‚

@LucyFraser1981 enjoy your night tomorrow night πŸ’•.

I hope all this dtd is going to get you all some bfp this cycle

fsr111 · 06/11/2022 08:57

Have a great time today @LucyFraser1981!

LucyFraser1981 · 06/11/2022 19:03

Thanks ladies, @allgoodthings84 @fsr111 πŸ’—
Just lying next to my snoozing man after a little pre-dinner dtd πŸ˜… I was grumpy as he was too tired last night and then busy this morning before we left to come to the hotel πŸ™„πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈ so hoping this one still counts, as had my static smiley yesterday! Ava's temps haven't shown a big rise yet, so wondering if it'll have jumped tomorrow in which case ovulation will have been sometime today I guess.

How are you both doing?
Hope you're OK too @NSx ? Xx

NSx · 06/11/2022 19:24

Hi ladies πŸ’—πŸ’• sorry I’ve been quiet …
been busy with OH for his bday wkend, drinking and eating …
how are u all? Didn’t manage to DTD as we’ve been too drunk & didn’t get in til late. Got O on clear blue today anyways so just trying to be less obsessed about it all this cycle - will probably start tomorrow properly not due to Ovulate until Thursday anyways…

@LucyFraser1981 @fsr111 @allgoodthings84 @pomdownunder1 how u all getting on?

fsr111 · 06/11/2022 19:42

@NSx, sounds like a great weekend! Hope you've been able to enjoy it and had a bit of a mental break from TTC. How's the head from all the drinking? My hangovers are hell these days! All good here, got a static smile yesterday, DTD Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and tonight so hoping I've covered my bases as we probably won't have a 4th day in us tomorrow after work. Have actually noticed some cramping today so figured that's ovulation. Have fun tonight @LucyFraser1981, interesting that the Ava bracelet not picked up on the rise yet, I'm sure todays DTD will still be good timing. Difficult to not be grumpy with the OH though when the mood doesn't take them at the essential times!

NSx · 06/11/2022 19:50

@fsr111 felt a bit rough today but had a 1.5h β€˜nap’ on the couch πŸ˜‚ so feel better now, just had some pizza too which was great.
I think we will start DTD tomorrow for a few days in a row til ovulation on Thursday, will see what happens.
my due date is Tuesday so trying not to put too much pressure on myself as I’m sure I’ll be upset, had a cry last night though so hopefully it’s out my system for a bit …
You seem to have done plenty DTD, so I think u will be fine, do you track bbt to check ovulation? i don’t get ovulation pains so can’t tell unless I track BBT

allgoodthings84 · 06/11/2022 20:43

@LucyFraser1981 sou did like a lovely night you’re having. If you got a static yesterday then today will definitely count as the egg can still be fertilised 12-24 hours after ovulation. They say day before and day of ovulation are the best chances so if not day before then day of is great too.

@NSx sounds like you’ve had a good weekend too. Tuesday will definitely be hard but we will be here for you to talk if you want or need to

@fsr111 that’s definitely plenty. We often don’t bother with the day after ovulation as can only do it at night and I think I ovulate in less than 24 hours after the peak opk so by the night after ovulation be too late anyway. If we feel up to it we do just in case but don’t put pressure on ourselves to do it. You dtd 4 times in the fertile time so plenty

fsr111 · 06/11/2022 20:59

@NSx, no I don't do BBT as DD wakes up at least once (often more!) every night and the day starts at a different time every day with her so it just wouldn't really work. Will be thinking of you on Tuesday, I'm sure it will be a really tough day. Make sure you have something nice in for dinner and try and have a relaxing evening. @allgoodthings84 hope blood test is ok tomorrow.

allgoodthings84 · 06/11/2022 21:08

@fsr111 I don’t do bbt for the same reason. Would never work with my daughter. I just see it as dtd at the time bear my opk got my pregnant last cycle and with that and my bloods at 6dpo last cycle all suggest that my opk’s are pretty accurate so just go by that.

I’m a bit nervous about my bloods in case it shows a very different picture this time. I have nothing to base this fear on.
