Our SMEP plans continue.... The old thread is almost full, so I started a new thread so we can continue on SMEP-ing to a BFP ✨☺️✨

Temps are still OK, not carried on rising any higher, but doesn't mean much as the chart from when I conceived my son looked very similar to this one and that didnt just keep getting higher 🤷‍♀️

@LucyFraser1981 ahh I see what you mean, I think there’s no definitive thing on a chart that says pregnancy except maybe temp not dropping before AF 😅
this chart this month for me is the most stable one 😂 normally it’s a bit of a mess. I only started temping in July when I was pregnant in feb I didn’t do any of this except OPK’s 🥲 so I have nothing to compare to really - it’s so annoying 😩

I love that because I'm an old fart and still use my college Hotmail account, fertility friend remembers my data from 9 years ago! It's so interesting to look back at my one and only chart that I did (successfully) when TTC my son 😅

@LucyFraser1981 i wish I knew all this stuff before so I had something to compare, 😅 …

@allgoodthings84 thank you, very helpful. I'm just going to ignore my doctor and go and get the bloods done tomorrow at 6 dpo. Sounds like we're about the same time @NSx. Any symptoms? I have a tiny bit of cramping but have just eaten 🤣 my mind plays all kind of tricks on me

@pomdownunder1 @NSx, me too! I'm symptom spotting like crazy this month, which is ridiculous as it's way too early to have any. I'm knackered and my boobs hurt, and yesterday I had a wine that tasted a bit funny - oh and I saw three magpies so that's probably the most likely of all of the symptoms 😂

I felt pretty much exactly the same this cycle as every cycle so I now know to not bother symptom spotting at all

@NSx -totally! That's why the TWW is the actual worst!

@NSx yep and my symptoms felt like AF was coming early when I was actually pregnant. So it’s just not reliable. Makes it even harder for us. I have a bit of an early sign with the spotting but who knows if I get pregnant again if I will spot still or not as some do and some don’t!

Had my progesterone levels back - 27.3, which is fine apparently, especially as I think I had them tested a couple of days early (my luteal phase is 16/17 days 🙄), so just need to wait for partner's sperm analysis to come back to see if there's anything other than my age getting in the way 🤷‍♀️

@LucyFraser1981 yaaay I’m so happy. I knew you would be fine. I told you over 20 is classified as ovulation by nhs, that’s what my work go with - fingers crossed for his sperm to be good, im sure it is- when will u know, they take longer those results don’t they?

@NSx I'm glad you've said that as it ses to vary massively from my googling (I know, I know... 🙄🤦🏻‍♀️🤷‍♀️😅)
From whatbi could see over 20 but under meant ovulation but tested too early or late by a few days, so that's about right if I have a longer luteal phase than the average 14.
Yeah no idea how long it takes for the sperm analysis, although to be fair I thought we'd be waiting much longer for the appointment, so I'm quite pleased. I'll be really surprised if much has changed since his last one three years ago, and as he's no longer smoking and drinking less, I'm hoping we'll be OK. I think it's purely going to be down to us being 41 that's going to cause issues 😕

@LucyFraser1981 from some things I saw on Google it’s more like 18. I don’t think anyone know for sure. I would say your levels for 7dpo on a longer LP is absolutely fine.

I’m ok. The cramps have stopped and the flow is like my normal period now so hopefully be over soon and next week I’ll start on the opk’s ready to go again. I can get pregnant still which is more positive than what I thought before when I was worried I wasn’t even ovulating. I can get pregnant and my test results were good so I’ve just got to take those positives. Hopefully next time it will be a sticky one

@LucyFraser1981 i think your bloods are absolutely fine and you’re defo ovulating so it’s just a matter of time before you get your BFP 💕

@allgoodthings84 im glad you see the positives in this horrid situation, atleast now you know for certain your body is doing what it is supposed to, so I’m confident it will happen again for you soon and be a sticky bean ✨💖

@NSx just got to keep at it and hope for the best. We also both had covid back in early July which apparently affects men’s sperm for around 3 months and I got pregnant the the cycle after those 3 months were up so I’m hoping it wont take as long this time but who knows. How are you feeling?

I’m ok, I’m 7dpo nothing much happening tbh, my temp dipped a bit today, but that’s it. Not really hopeful I never am, I just don’t think it’s happening for me & I don’t know why, when I conceived in feb it took literally 2/3 months (the first month I didn’t really track or try much and it was Christmas time so was drinking a lot) …
I was hoping to be pregnant before the 8th of November but it’s not happened yet so kinda need to just accept that.

I'm going to try and stop worrying about my side of things now, just need to get partner's sperm analysis results back and then if those are good it'll just be a waiting game I guess? My brain is so mean, had really vivid dream last night that I got two positive pregnancy tests! So vivid that I've caved and ordered some IC tests from amazon 🤦🏻‍♀️😅 had slight twingy/achey feeling in lower abdomen and lower back this morning, but AF not due until Monday (12dpo today). Fairly certain it'll still be a bfn if I test though 😕

That's definitely a positive way to look at it @allgoodthings84 your body knows what it's doing so I really think it's just after of time for you. I was reading up on how much stress affects our hormones, and seems acupuncture/Chinese herbal medicine really seems to help, so I may give that a go at some point, maybe that could help you too? 💗

Have you had any tests @NSx ? Sorry if you've already said, think you've had the day21s?

@LucyFraser1981 I don’t know how good IC are at predicting pregnancies earlier than AF but worth a try u just never know. I would probably take one anyways, how’s ur chart looking ?
I’ve had day 3 and day 21 bloods. All normal - I don’t think they would do anything for me until I’ve been trying for 12 months so I’ve got a long way to go 😭😭😭

Chart looks OK I think? Not due for my temp to drop right down for another two mornings, so will see what the IC tests/chart say in the next couple of days I guess 🤷‍♀️

@LucyFraser1981 yea it is awful because they make u wait for 12 months for what, what if something is wrong and you’ve just waited a year of your life. At this age time is of the essence you don’t have years to throw away! I’ve already lost this year when I lost my girl in may, we had started trying in December - so I’m almost at a year since we started and no living baby!
it’s hard to tell with charts - u never know what’s ‘right and wrong’ I guess it’s all about the chart just staying above the cover line past AF - this is my chart, took a drop today so don’t know if that’s a bad sign ?
