@allgoodthings84, I'm sorry for the negative FRER that's really rubbish. Have been thinking about you today. Hope you're ok

NSx · 16/10/2022 19:54

@allgoodthings84 im so sorry πŸ˜βœ¨πŸ’– I would like to reiterate what @LucyFraser1981 said - I don’t think I’ll be going anywhere anytime soon, so I’m here for you πŸ₯° you’re not alone x

pomdownunder1 · 17/10/2022 07:15

Exactly what the ladies said, use us as a sound board @allgoodthings84 πŸ’•

Need your advice girls and maybe @allgoodthings84 you can help? Just had a very frustrating doctors appointment. My doctor kind of brushed off my short luteal phase and spotting, didn't offer any advice at all, just said to relax and a miracle will happen πŸ™„ after asking if I could please have my progesterone checked, she agreed and said it would have to be day 21, even though I ovulate day 21. From what I've read online, it should be 5 days after ovulation. My doctor said it needs to be day 21 as she doesn't know if I actually ovulate then but surely the results are going to be inaccurate? Any help would be much appreciated! So disheartening that I may have to wait another cycle to do tests and then look into medication

allgoodthings84 · 17/10/2022 07:52

@pomdownunder1 it needs to be around half way through your LP. Mine is 12 days so I had the test 6dpo. If it’s day of ovulation your progesterone levels wouldn’t have built up and that’s what the test measures. GPS don’t take progesterone seriously at all. I think I do have a progesterone issue and that’s why I’m miscarrying. I think it was only high on my results because implantation had started maybe. I obviously ovulate but I think it drops. Time will tell but I think I have to have another 2 miscarriages before I can get help

NSx · 17/10/2022 08:42

Good morning ladies πŸ’•

how is everyone this morning? @pomdownunder1 @LucyFraser1981 @fsr111 @A1b2c3d4e5f6g7

how are u getting on @allgoodthings84 - I hope you’re ok darling 🀍

allgoodthings84 · 17/10/2022 08:51

@NSx i was a but crampy last night. Felt just like day before AF so not mega bad. This morning started spotting so doesn’t seem like it’s going to be quick. I just want the bleeding to start properly and be over so we can try again. I’ll start opk’s pretty much as soon as the bleeding stops in case it’s going to change my usual cycle this time round. Hopefully it won’t change as I know where I’m at usually.

NSx · 17/10/2022 09:06

@allgoodthings84 i hope it’s over quickly for you so you can put it behind you and move on, the silver lining is that you can get pregnant πŸ’•πŸ’•πŸ’•

allgoodthings84 · 17/10/2022 09:11

@NSx yep that’s the positive I’m just hoping it’s not a progesterone issue. I’m thinking it is because of the spotting before AF and then this early loss. I’m just going to have to keep trying and hope one sticks. If it happens again me and my partner will talk about going private to get a progesterone prescription as I know nhs won’t help with that. I don’t think they do anyway

pomdownunder1 · 17/10/2022 09:36

@allgoodthings84 thank you, so helpful. Would you count your first day of LP the day of your positive opk result or the day after that (if that makes sense) as ovulation occurs 12-24 hours after?

I hope you get your answers soon, it's frustrating not knowing why it happened but hopefully you're one step closer to some answers.

Good! Thank you @NSx. Just been to my second acupuncture session, this time she was concentrating on holding things still and encouraging the egg to stick, rather than getting moving like last time. No idea really but will let you know if anything comes from it!

How are you?

allgoodthings84 · 17/10/2022 09:53

@pomdownunder1 1st day of LP is 1dpo so 2 days after the positive opk as LP starts day after ovulation. Spotting doesn’t count either so the last day of your LP is the day before full AF starts.

I don’t think I’ll get any answers yet as nhs won’t do anything until we have at least 3 miscarriages but if I have another miscarriage I want to go private as that won’t be a coincidence. I now know I can get pregnant but the spotting and early loss concerns me that there’s more to it.

LucyFraser1981 · 17/10/2022 11:00

Hey @NSx I'm fine thanks, 10dponow, woken up with weird tiny little pimples/spots all over my clevage/chest, which is extremely odd as I've never suffered with acne even as a teenager. I occasionally get a painful one or two on my jawline during my period, but this is totally different. So obviously I have been googling to see if it could be caused by hormones... πŸ™„πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈ I'm not buying any frers/testing until 17dpo as my LP is 16/17, plus I can see by my temps if there's hope or not as it drops right to my coverline a day or two before AF, so I'm going to save myself money and heartache from now on πŸ™‚
How are you doing?

Hey @allgoodthings84 I know it's awful, but I'd definitely be thinking the same as you, that this at least shows pregnancy is a possibility. I think I possibly had a CP at the end of June, but it was a total squinter on a FRER and never showed up on another test again. I then started spotting for a couple of days before my period arrived slightly later than I was expecting, but wasn't charting at that point so unsure about it all really. It's all just so bloody mentally hard and exhausting, so just keep talking to us as you know we understand πŸ’—

NSx · 17/10/2022 13:53

@allgoodthings84 speak to your GP, tell them your worries regarding progesterone and see if they can do your bloods again, since the other ones weren’t valid as they were when you were pregnant?

@pomdownunder1 oh that sounds interesting please keep me posted of what they tell you, im always interested to know ❣️ I’m good I’m 5dpo nothing much to say..

@LucyFraser1981 oooh that sounds promising - I have a 14 day luteal phase so won’t test until that passes as I can’t be bothered with negative tests πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ how is your BBT chart looking ? Has your temp dropped at all?

allgoodthings84 · 17/10/2022 14:06

@NSx I think they only do the bloods to check the levels are enough to ovulate and get pregnant not if they stay up. NHS don’t retest later to check the levels stay up until you’ve had 3 miscarriages as far as I’m aware. My day 21 bloods will still be normal I imagine as I can get pregnant, if they were too low at day 21 then I wouldn’t have gotten pregnant. I’m thinking it just drops when it shouldn’t. The GP brushed off my worries about progesterone and the spotting and basically just said we will check if you ovulate which I definitely do.

fsr111 · 17/10/2022 14:13

@NSx, thanks for checking in. I'm all good, although it's feeling like a long TWW already. Why are some months worse than others? Quiet at work and not a load of social plans post holiday so it's obviously occupying a lot of mind space. AF due 27th, not going to test (if i can help it!). Need to book day 3 bloods this month which is a Saturday. Drs has no availability on the Friday or Monday to do the test. Have booked for Tuesday but not sure if that's totally pointless.
@LucyFraser1981, any other symptoms to spot besides the rash? Keeping my fingers crossed for all of us this month! @pomdownunder1, are you enjoying the acupuncture sessions? I like the sound of it.

LucyFraser1981 · 17/10/2022 21:12

@fsr111 nope, nothing else to report! Hoping I get my day21 results tomorrow. Also parter is dropping his sample in to the lab tomorrow morning for sperm analysis, so also keeping my fingers crossed those results are OK and come back quick.

Would really rather just conceive so I can stop all the testing and analysing πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸ€£ Although I'm fully aware that even conceiving isn't the end of the stress, I'll immediately start worrying about losing it, and then if by some miracle it sticks, I can then move on to worrying about the dangers the c-section will cause me due to the likelihood of my previous section causing my bowel to have adhered to my uterus, so I need a senior surgeon. Then there's all the worries of not living together yet, house not being ready to go on the market until next October technically, so how the hell were going o work it all out if a miracle baby does arrive I don't know πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

When you're young you just assume life will follow a nice easy A to B to C trajectory, and everything will fall into place, but it's really not like that it seems πŸ˜–

Sorry all, that was rather a massive worry dump straight out of my brain πŸ˜¬πŸ˜…

Hope you're all doing ok?

NSx · 17/10/2022 21:54

@allgoodthings84 ah right ok, so that’s not much use then. Surely u can tell him you’re concerned that you have a progesterone issue and that’s why the pregnancy didn’t stick, although they will probably give you some statistic of how this is all normal … ahhhh it’s so frustrating.
@fsr111 2WW is hell. I’m also due AF on the 27th … but I won’t test if I can help it 🀞I’m not very hopeful I don’t know why I but I just can’t see it happening 😭 this is all just so stressful, makes u just want to give up.
@LucyFraser1981 10dpo that’s went fast will u test ? Have u felt anything ?
I hope all goes well with your partner tomorrow & hopefully u get ur results back and all is good🀞

LucyFraser1981 · 17/10/2022 22:05

@NSx nope, nothing that I've noticed, I've tried to stop analysing every twinge, as I think ive just become so overly heightened to every little feeling that it doesn't really help πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈ not going to test for another week as my LP is 16/17 days and my bbt always drops to my coverline about one or two days before AF arrives, so just going to save myself money andnheartbreak by waiting and watching my temperature!
Definitely keeping my fingers crossed for this last test result/partner's results πŸ€πŸ€ž

How are you doing?

allgoodthings84 · 17/10/2022 22:06

@NSx yep that’s why if it happens again I’ll be talking to my partner about going private for progesterone prescription. It may be a coincidence this time as miscarriages happen for many reasons of course but if I have another and nhs won’t help then I want to go private.

I’m now bleeding and it hurts but I’m glad it’s started now so hopefully can be done soon so we can move on. Luckily my partner is amazing

NSx · 17/10/2022 22:10

@LucyFraser1981 i don’t have any symptoms and I’ve learned from other months that β€˜symptoms’ I had before were nothing πŸ˜‚πŸ˜… what a headache,
how is your chart looking is your temp still rising?

@allgoodthings84 im so sorry that you’re AF is here but also happy that it means you can move forward, I hope you’re ok πŸ’–πŸ’–
I hope it was just a fluke and you’re next BFP is a sticky one ☝️ I know it will happen soon for you as YOU CAN GET PREG πŸ’–βœ¨
