Hi ladies, sorry been a bit quiet recently. Nausea has hit full force and I've been feeling pretty rough! Had my appointment with EPU this morning and everything is looking good so far. Confirmed I'm measuring 6 weeks and I got to see a heartbeat on the scan 🥰

@WingingIt09 Sorry to hear about the nausea, but that's fab news about your scan!

Bananatoast123 · 13/09/2022 06:29

@Anna531 thank you!

it was a BFN this morning. I think I’m 10dpo and it was a 6 days early clear blue digital (OH just got what he could find in Boots for me) so I’m not sure how sensitive it was. I will just wait to see if AF shows, I’m not classing myself as out but also expecting AF to show on Friday!

I did it as I have planned a shopping trip today and spa tomorrow and wanted to check I could buy clothes that I knew would fit me for longer if I’m not/ could go in the Sauna etc! Also felt like I’ve got nice distractions for the fact it was a BFN!

missmoosh · 13/09/2022 06:43

AF arrived over night on to the next cycle I go!

Dreamingof3 · 13/09/2022 09:45

Stressing this morning as trying to figure out how we'll put 3 car seats in the car whilst still allowing my 6 year old access to the seat belt plug 🤣, I think we'll have to get her a slimmer seat, oh says put her in the back row (7 seater) but I feel like they should all fit across the middle! And then he says, well we don't need to worry about it now! Let's just wait until the babies born shall we 😒

Smophette · 13/09/2022 11:23

@Dreamingof3 are you on car seat advice UK on Facebook? They are really helpful!
Sophie

SarahShorty · 13/09/2022 12:41

CD9 today. Can't believe a year is nearly gone 😔Clinging on to any hope that it's not going to be a whole year before we get there. DH and I hoped it wouldn't be 6 months, but here we are. Maybe cycle 6 will be the lucky one. Hope everyone is okay xx

Dreamingof3 · 13/09/2022 14:54

@Smophette I will have a look, thanks!

Been for my second scan today...they'veoved me forward to 13+2 which has really thrown me 😂 she had to work really hard to get the measurements though and now I feel bruised 😂 but got lots of pictures to make up for it

PinkButtercups · 13/09/2022 16:40

@Dreamingof3 the only car I think that fit 3 across is the Ford S-Max. We need a new car really. We don't really use the car so once the twins are here for the time being one will have to go in the front as 3 won't fit across which is stressing me out a bit as I don't like the thought of one in the front. Glad your scan went well!

PinkButtercups · 13/09/2022 16:43

Had a 24 week scan today and twins are looking perfect. Both weigh exactly 1lb 7oz and are on track 🥰. They're transverse at the moment. The sonographer had a really tough time trying to work out which placenta was for who 🙊. Twin 2 was having none of it and moved away from the sonographer so many times and was kicking off up a fuss! So glad they're both okay and good weights.

Dreamingof3 · 13/09/2022 16:45

@PinkButtercups they sound like little handfuls already 🤣 I can't remember if you've said...are they identical?

We can fit the seats across physically, it just doesn't really leave space for the eldest to get to her seatbelt...annoying! She might have to sit in the boot, or we'll look for a slimmer seat for her. I'm like you, don't really like the idea of then in the front if it can be helped

PinkButtercups · 13/09/2022 16:48

@Dreamingof3 atm we have no choice but to put one in the front as can't afford £14k for a new car 🤣. But we don't go out in the car much.

She kept saying they're double trouble and we always thought it was twin 1 who liked to be a pickle but these last few weeks twin 2 has been the little pickle 🤣. No, they're non identical DCDA twins so have their own placentas x

Welshgal85 · 13/09/2022 18:54

@Houseelf90 I started testing with OPKs on day 15 but it could have happened before and when we DTD on day 14 may have just got lucky! I’m going to wait a few more days and test

@missmoosh sorry to hear AF has arrived! Fingers crossed for next cycle!

@DesertSnow yeah it could be possible! I haven’t felt right for about a week now. Think I will do a test the end of this week when my period will be 6 days away.DTD yesterday and will again tomorrow just incase!

@WingingIt09 so pleased for you that the scan went well 😊

DesertSnow · 13/09/2022 19:20

@SarahShorty Your decision to work on a positive mind set sounds good. The odds are crazy, as you say. But it only takes one. Sometimes I look around when I'm on public transport and I think 'how did you all come into being with the odds so crazy?' I find it comforting that it does happen, and I'm sure it will for you. Just hope it's soon!

Welcome @Daisy155 and good luck!

@Bananatoast123 Sorry about the BFN, but still time for a positive!

@missmoosh Sorry AF arrived, hope you're doing ok.

@Dreamingof3 and @PinkButtercups Glad your scans went well, lovely news!

@Welshgal85 ah I will keep my fingers crossed for you! Sounds like a good plan.

I'm feeling relieved today - OH finally had his GP appointment re. his variocele and potential impact on fertility. GP said that unless it's big and swollen (which it isn't - I can't even see it) it shouldn't be an issue. So just my issues (that we know of!) to contend with. We don't really know what we're doing, but just trying to DTD every other day in my FW and hope for the best!

Anna531 · 13/09/2022 19:37

@Bananatoast123 so sorry to hear about BFN. A trip away this weekend will be a great distraction and a spa too so a nice baby free zone!!
I'm 10/11dpo and tested this morning. Also a BFN. I know there's still time but similarly this evening I've resigned myself to waiting on AF on Friday. It probably won't feel any better come the weekend but right now it feels like it'll lessen the disappointment somewhat and kinder to myself.
I'll test tomorrow and Fri I'm sure as I'm away this weekend too so I'll distract myself with wine and enjoy it. Its tough though.
Fingers crossed for your next test x

Daisy155 · 13/09/2022 19:42

Thank you all so much for the welcome @DesertSnow ❤ just reading all the above @Bananatoast123 so sorry about the BFN & @Anna531 good luck for Friday fingers crossed for you xx

Bananatoast123 · 13/09/2022 20:44

@Anna531 I feel like we are in it together with prepping for AF! I’m going to wait to see if AF shows by Saturday and if not then I’ll test again! Make sure that your wine tastes even more delicious this weekend and treat yourself to some naughty food! X

Houseelf90 · 13/09/2022 21:57

@Welshgal85 fingers crossed for you, I’ll be watching out for the result 🤞🏼

SarahShorty · 14/09/2022 08:06

Morning ladies xx CD10 for me today. DH and I have agreed that early HCG testing is pretty pointless. We'll continue to track ovulation because I'm rubbish with symptoms and my cycles vary by nearly a week. I got excited when I got my first BFP, seeing that faint second line meant the world. But it means naff all to me if there's a chance that I'm going to miscarry a few days later. Whenever I next get pregnant, I'm going to wait until at least one full week has passed first. Sure, waiting is torture, but getting a BFP and then bleeding is awful.

Fingers crossed for @Welshgal85 @Bananatoast123 and @Anna531 xx Apologies if I missed anyone.

Firsttimetrying2022 · 14/09/2022 08:15

Morning all,

I'm 7dpo and think I had some cramps yesterday although I find it really hard to tell. I've been feeling like I've got a cold coming since Sunday and have lost my appetite today which I assume is due to getting a cold?

Has anyone experienced feeling under the weather as early symptoms ?

keeponsmiling2019 · 14/09/2022 08:36

Hi all. Af arrived yesterday, 1 day late. Typical. Going to try conception plus this month. DP has a varacous vein on testicle so getting worried about this now but trying not to Google and scare myself about it causing problems this time round

Welshgal85 · 14/09/2022 08:55

Thanks everyone. Still testing as high on OPK’s, day 25 now. I’ve bought some pregnancy tests that you can do 5 days before AF so will do one in a day or two. AF can vary for me but should be due early next week though my app is now saying it predicts AF the week after so not sure why that’s changed..

missmoosh · 14/09/2022 09:11

This AF is brutal haha, like hey I showed up late and now I'm gonna cripple you with pain! What do you all do for the pain? I am doing okay, glad it finally arrived so I can at least get going on next cycle.

Good luck to all those waiting to test, hopefully we get some BFPs for you all this cycle! Sticky baby dust to you all 😀

dearhummingbirds · 14/09/2022 10:25

@missmoosh just to annoy you even more that your AF has arrived. Sometimes I just love being a woman 😂
I just double-up on paracetamol and ibuprofen. My last one was terrible; was throwing up from the pain. But they vary from month to month as to how painful they’ll be, so I’ve never bothered to try and get something stronger from the GP.

@SarahShorty I think that sounds sensible. If you don’t know you’ve had an early chemical at least you can be oblivious to it and it would be less heartbreaking.

Parisbluecat · 14/09/2022 10:30

Hi all, we will start TTC next month. Ive been taking Folic Acid (400mg) and Iron, omega 3 (algae oil) and a heaped teaspoon of maca powder (which i find delicious on yoghurt anyway). Im also taking this time to go to the gym and do strength training, and to lose a few extra kilos i had put in during the pandemic (since I understand one should not diet while TTC). Happy to join!

missmoosh · 14/09/2022 11:03

@dearhummingbirds I know the joys of being a woman! Haha glad to know you do the same as I do then! Oh thats awful! I have been very close to throwing up before but thankfully haven't. Why don't men have to deal with this?! 😂

@SarahShorty that does sound very sensible, I think I will probably follow your lead on that as well. Hope you are doing OK, well the best you can be given the circumstances
