@lj2022 yesss this makes more sense! Thank you!! I think I’m on track then! I put in the readings I first got (even tho I thought they were low) and I’ll keep doing the first readings!! Thank you so much this is super helpful! I’m basically trying to pinpoint ovulation better as by cycle 9 I’m wondering if we stop dtd a little early!

Hi all, 2 DPO on first month trying and so nervous. I have two older kids and now I'm in my mid thirties and trying again with my new partner of 5 years. Fingers crossed everyone

@Bananatoast123 I honestly don't think I'd have ever got pregnant if I didn't BBT because I identified I ovulate late compared to most between CD18-20 so if I went by general apps I'd have missed my peak every time. Still took 8 months but got there eventually. 🤞🤞🤞 for you

@lj2022 that’s what I thought! I got a peak of 2.0 late this morning so definite have hit my surge! I also have ovary pains so deffo think I’m ovulating over the next few days! But hoping the temp spike can confirm when like if we are 12 hours after the surge or 24 etc! And then can hit dtd post ovulation too! I have a feel we’ve been getting the days right though and just had no luck 🙁 also using fertility lube which might help us post ovulation too! Not sure what else we can try now after this

@Bananatoast123 Try not to use too much lube if possible as it can act as a barrier to the swimmers trying to get through the cervix.

@Bananatoast123 it really is a minefield isn't it. I was the same hit all the right days and just had no luck for a while. I honestly swear that cough medicine is what helped me conceive in the lead up to my fertile window. I've heard mixed things about fertility lubricant as @SarahShorty it doesn't always help the swimmers and can make a barrier. Do you usually get a lot of EWCM?

@lj2022 which cough syrup did you use? I’ve been taking one the last few days along with EPO. I get quite a bit of EWCM to be fair but there’s definitely more this time. I do notice it clears up as soon as I’ve ovulated though so it makes like the 24 hours post more difficult!

interesting on the fertility lubricant- @SarahShorty what makes you think this? We’ve used it once so far so have done dtd this cycle without in FW. I think it helped my OH produce more but I could be wrong 🤣 (tmi) but I’m so open to trying anything now!

thank you! 9 months in and I’m so tired of AF! I’m not really sure if what we are doing now will work though!

We’ve also gone on a healthier diet and exercising! I’m 1.5kg down (I’m only just above a healthy bmi so I didn’t need to) but I’m like whatever helps!!

@Bananatoast123 it's east to get disheartened especially trying for so long I was starting to get so down about it. I've had friends also who took 9 and 12 months to conceive even after not being on contraception before trying yet I still got upset month 6 and 7 knowing sometimes it can just take time! Is this your first ?

@Bananatoast123 there is always mucus on the cervix which once a watery, raw egg white consistency, the sperm use to swim up into the uterus. When you have too much lubricant, the sperm have another type of fluid to swim through. It is sperm friendly, just that too much of it can hinder them.

@lj2022 thats good to know! You just never hear about how long it takes people, you just hear the extremes I.e first month or IVF. It is our first yeah! I was on the copper coil before so no hormones etc so never anticipated 9 months and counting and only ever BFN! We’re also 27 and 29 so we thought like we’d be on the better side of things!! Little did we know 🤣 this month has felt the hardest to feel positive!

@Bananatoast123 yep there's never the one between is there I felt everyone around me was getting pregnant so quickly. People started trying after me then announced and I was so annoyed so it was nice to hear friends saying it took them a while. Yea I'm 28 and expected things to happen a lot quicker. Keep me updated on how you're getting on and hope your TWW goes quickly x

@lj2022 its good to know I’m not the only one going through this / or having gone through it! Which cycle did you get your BFP? I will do!! I think I’m ovulating tomorrow for deffo! Dtd tonight so hopefully got it covered! Will keep you posted on my TWW!

I've a feeling this cycle may be anovulatory 😐 No LH surge yet and it's CD21. The latest I've ovulated is CD23. It's possible I can still get a surge but it's really pushing it now. Lest this cycle is a rare 40+ day one.

Just want to curl up and sleep.

@SarahShorty ahh good to know! To be fair I think it may have helped us and we only used a small amount! I’m at the point I’ll try anything to see if it helps!!

Thanks @Nypie, although I'm beginning to think I may just be trying to convince myself. Another BFN just now, why I thought an evening test would be a good idea, I couldn't tell you 🤷🏻‍♀️

I'm 2 days late currently, which is unusual for me, I had a very very faint positive FRER this morning, and a negative this afternoon... i don't track ovulation but my Clue app thinks I'm 13 DPO. I'm wondering as I'm already 2 days late, and it's so faint, is it likely that it's a chemical? I'll test again in the morning, but I feel like if it was real, I'd have a strong line at this point?

@HeathenPlayingHouse haha I dont blame you at all it's so so tempting. Test again in the morning. Everything crossed.

Light pinkish blood when I wiped just now so I'm guessing it's a CP then?

@DearieMeWhatsUp it would be about the right timing for implantation bleed, I would test again in a few days if AF doesn’t arrive

Some cramping this morning, some bright red blood and another negative test. I think I'm out. Feel a bit emotional about it but that could also be cos my 3 year old has woken me up by kicking me and deciding to have a row! Just hope it doesn't mess my cycle up too much. I'm starting to think I imagined that line! But then this isn't my normal AF. Oh I don't know!

Does anyone get any spotting about 3-4 days after ovulation? I have noticed a pattern looking back on my flo app. Is this normal?
