Hi everyone ☺️

I am a bit eager with this thread, I've just started my dreaded period (feel a little glum to be honest!) and I have been ovulating quite late, so if by a miracle I am successful this month I would be due end of may/early June. I have been dipping in and out of these threads and found them fantastic support so I hope you don't mind me carrying on the trend!

I am going into cycle 4, I am 31 and were trying for our first πŸ‘ΆπŸ»I suffered a chemical pregnancy recently and I feel SO ready to become pregnant, I want this so badly, as I am sure you all do too!

I was trawling through some old threads and found these facts that I found useful , feel free to read if you like πŸ˜™

  1. 80% of couples having regular sex (2/3 times a week) with no issues will fall pregnant in a year.
  2. 90% of couples having regular sex with no issues will fall pregnant in two years.
3.Each cycle you have approx 20% chance of falling pregnant. 4.The egg only lives for 24 hours so very small window to fertilise it 5.Decent sperm can live up to 5 days inside you so good to have sex before you think you ovulate as well as after. 6.If using ovulation testing the test picks up on Lh surge which often happens after the egg has been released. 7.Most NHS CCG will not investigate fertility problems until you have been having regular unprotected sex for over a year and some places insists for two years. 8.If you track your Basel body temperature it can give you a good indication of when you ovulate to get to know your cycles.
  1. Some types of lube can damage sperm be careful what you are using. (We are using preseed but using it like normal lube, not inserting it prior!)

Wishing you all the luck in world for this cycle 🀞🀞🀞🀞🀞

Congratulations @SpringTulips22 and @Lion14

11dpo and looks like a BFN. If I look really hard there could be a shadow Of a possible line but I’m not looking into thag

bubble55 · 20/09/2022 07:22

10 dpo. I could cry I’m so happy. (You can tell I have no self control cos I said I wouldn’t test!) after my chemical everyone told me how it would happen within the fortnight and you’re so fertile after a CP etc etc. when it didn’t happen I was so down and thought it wouldn’t happen. My symptoms this time round have been much stronger (my boobs are killing) so everything crossed this is a sticky xx

Congrats to all the BFPs!!! Hoping this thread can be equally as lucky as the May one was!

i’m 5 DPO, trying not to symptom spotting but also writing them down like the genius who mentioned it on here a few pages back! (Can’t click back now or I’ll lose my message! πŸ˜‚)
that way I can compare with next month if AF comes.

AF due next Wednesday, I went away on holiday and forgot my bbt thermometer, so I have no idea if I confirmed ovulation after my LH peak, and missed the first 4 days after ovulation.
My temp this morning was a bit lower than 5 DPO last month but have nothing to compare it with so will just keep temping and see!

HopingForBaby2 · 20/09/2022 08:49

Wow so many positives! Congratulations everybody.

I'm 6dpo today, really crampy today and just generally feeling rubbish!

BethSuz27 · 20/09/2022 08:57

17dpo I think now…

had this this morning, does anyone have good line eyes??
I think I can see the faintest line, and it did appear within the first 3 minutes, planning to take another in 2 days but what do you think?

afinethingindeed · 20/09/2022 09:02

Congrats to all the BFPs!
Is it really bad that I feel so much happier for you all than when I hear a pregnancy announcement IRL? It feels a bit messed up now I say that :/ I guess it feels like we're all in it together though.

Anyway, I'm officially on my TWW now. I didn't catch my peak on the OPKs because I was out a lot. I find it hard to do unless I'm at home! How does everyone else manage this? Anyway, I'm pretty sure I ovulated on Sunday as I had what I think was ovulation pain. It fits with the app prediction and my OPKs before and after Saturday seem to fit with that timing too. I'm pretty sure we DTD enough to be covered so hopefully something stuck 🀞
AF due 2nd October. I'll probably start testing from 30th September because I know I won't be able to hold out much longer than that!

Sparklythings1 · 20/09/2022 10:11

@Lion14 congratulations πŸŽ‰

Sparklythings1 · 20/09/2022 10:13

@Londonlady22 nah I think that’s completely normal.. three months sounds like nothing but 90 days of something going round and round your head, desperate for it to happen is a long time! I get excited with a positive opk too, same with when I did the clearblue ones last time. You’d think I’d won the lottery when I got the static or flashing smiley at the end, whatever one is the best one πŸ€” but as you say it means nothing unless you actually manage to get pregnant! Fingers crossed it will be third time lucky, it will just completely surprise you when it happens

HopingForBaby2 · 20/09/2022 10:14

@BethSuz27 the picture is a little blurry for me, so I can't be sure but fingers crossed for you! 🀞🏼

K6890 · 20/09/2022 10:23

@afinethingindeed I'm due AF 2nd October too. I'm feeling horrendous today, headache and so tired. Think my body is playing tricks on me

Lion14 · 20/09/2022 10:48

Thank you so much everyone, it’s definitely still sinking in! @afinethingindeed I completely get that, we are all in the same boat and are each other’s biggest cheerleaders. I love reading about everyone’s news, it gives you hope when you need it!

bubble55 · 20/09/2022 11:25

Congrats to all the other BFP’s :) sprinkling lots of baby dust to everyone waiting.

Anyone around 10dpo? I have aching period type pains and such sore boobs! hoping this means it’s a sticky - didn’t have any of this with my chemical.

Londonlady22 · 20/09/2022 12:51

@bubble55 @Lion14 @SpringTulips22 congrats to you all!

Love that the June BFPs are rolling in!! Maybe this will be another lucky thread like May’s.

@Sparklythings1 I’m glad you say it’s normal. Worried I was going crazy!! Oh I really hope this is a lucky month for us all 🀞🀞

NSx · 20/09/2022 12:56

Ladies who got their BFP’s congratulations again to you all βœ¨πŸŽ‰
I’m trying to think of a strategy for my next cycle πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ …
can you all comment how many times/when you DTD so I can figure out if less is more & try a new angle πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

thank you 😊❀️

Sparklythings1 · 20/09/2022 13:07

@NSx the amount ive stuff I’ve read about it that says you have the same odds (20-33%) roughly depending on whether you do it once or 100 times. I don’t really get how that can be the case since timing is surely the most crucial thing so more is surely better? πŸ€” Since looking into the whole gender sway thing though loads of women get a bfp from one shot 3 or more days before ovulation! Last time when I had my little boy we literally couldn’t have done it more if we’d tried and got a bfn that month too but the next month was positive πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ We’ve only had one attempt this time, im purposely not putting myself through all that again but I would be amazed if it’s worked this time!

Cm078 · 20/09/2022 13:12

@bubble55 me! I have had mild cramping, lower back pain and more CM than normal.
Trying not to think too much about it though. Sore boobs is promising! I never got that first time around! They are teeny though... πŸ˜‚
🀞 for you.

bubble55 · 20/09/2022 13:16

@Cm078 mine too πŸ˜‚ OH commented they already look bigger πŸ€” he can try all he likes but that’s it now, he did his job and I’m done for 9 months πŸ˜‚

@NSx we literally had sex every day for 9 days and sometimes even twice a day. Got to the stage I even said I can’t be bothered just do what you want (sorry TMI πŸ˜‚) but I was so scared to miss our window I really wanted to make sure I’d done it enough and fingers crossed it’s all worked out x

Lion14 · 20/09/2022 13:18

@NSx In terms of when we DTD around ovulation, we did CD11,13,14,15(o day) and then 17. I also took B6 and Vit C from CD1 as my luteal phase had been very short since coming off the pill, and I took starflower oil up until ovulation. I’m not sure if they helped or if it was coincidence, but it was my first month of B6 πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

NSx · 20/09/2022 13:27

@Sparklythings1 yea I get what u mean, I just don’t know what to make of it all tbh πŸ˜©πŸ˜…
@bubble55 @Lion14 so going by this, both of you DTD a lot during fertile window.
ive heard good things about adding Vit b6 - what strength did you take and do you take it up until ovulation or continue all month?

thanks for getting back to me, lots of food for thought πŸ’

Wrenegade · 20/09/2022 14:55

Congratulations everyone on your positives! πŸŽ‰

This is my first cycle trying and I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed by all of the methods. I have been tracking my cycle for two years as natural prevention so I know I’m predicted to ovulate on the 30th, other than that I’m feeling a little lost!! Feels encouraging to see lots of people with positives. Thinking it might be a long slog with my endo.

@NSx just wondering what methods you have tried?

TTCn2 · 20/09/2022 15:00

Congrats to everyone on your BFPs!
I'm 9dpo and relative to most months i'm experiencing hardly any symptoms, which I'm trying not to take as a positive sign 😬 (as this has happened before) but also keeping fingers crossed.
Grrr it's all so painful and confusing.
I'm determined not to test unless af is late as I've been here so many times and it's so disappointing when the line doesn't show up.....as you'll all know.
Fingers crossed to you all xx

Londonlady22 · 20/09/2022 15:34

I always feel very behind everyone else on these threads, still not in my TWW but I finally for my peak reading so i’m pretty happy as I missed it last month and our timing was off, we only BD once in fertile window so I’m hoping we have improved our chances this month. Hoping to join you all in TWW tomorrow or Thursday, I see alot of ladies using clear blue testing with the smiley faces, whats the difference with those? Are they more time specific? Already planning next month πŸ˜‚

NSx · 20/09/2022 15:51

@Wrenegade well this is my 3rd month trying but so far I’ve done SMEP twice and this month I DTD 7 days staight during my fΓ©riele window - im 7 dpo - so not sure if it has worked yet but find it unlikely as I have no luck πŸ˜…πŸ₯²
how u getting on?

NSx · 20/09/2022 15:51

@Wrenegade * fertile

Tophy124 · 20/09/2022 16:12

I think I’m officially out as due AF any day now. Got super confused as did a first response yesterday and had a line show up but way after the 3 minutes. Did a clear blue last night and was negative but this morning has 2 lines. Did more pink tests today and both look negative. Will post pics! :(
