Hi everyone ☺️

I am a bit eager with this thread, I've just started my dreaded period (feel a little glum to be honest!) and I have been ovulating quite late, so if by a miracle I am successful this month I would be due end of may/early June. I have been dipping in and out of these threads and found them fantastic support so I hope you don't mind me carrying on the trend!

I am going into cycle 4, I am 31 and were trying for our first πŸ‘ΆπŸ»I suffered a chemical pregnancy recently and I feel SO ready to become pregnant, I want this so badly, as I am sure you all do too!

I was trawling through some old threads and found these facts that I found useful , feel free to read if you like πŸ˜™

  1. 80% of couples having regular sex (2/3 times a week) with no issues will fall pregnant in a year.
  2. 90% of couples having regular sex with no issues will fall pregnant in two years.
3.Each cycle you have approx 20% chance of falling pregnant. 4.The egg only lives for 24 hours so very small window to fertilise it 5.Decent sperm can live up to 5 days inside you so good to have sex before you think you ovulate as well as after. 6.If using ovulation testing the test picks up on Lh surge which often happens after the egg has been released. 7.Most NHS CCG will not investigate fertility problems until you have been having regular unprotected sex for over a year and some places insists for two years. 8.If you track your Basel body temperature it can give you a good indication of when you ovulate to get to know your cycles.
  1. Some types of lube can damage sperm be careful what you are using. (We are using preseed but using it like normal lube, not inserting it prior!)

Wishing you all the luck in world for this cycle 🀞🀞🀞🀞🀞

@Londonlady22 yes retest tonight if I wish to get an exact time of peak if not tomorrow morning, hopefully it will have dropped a bit so u will get the peak reading .. mine takes a wee bit to go down though

bubble55 · 19/09/2022 18:41

@NSx i really hope so πŸ™πŸΌ It’s my third, we got pregnant the first cycle but had a chemical so I’m too scared to get my hopes up and promised my OH I won’t test until AF is due on Sunday πŸ™ˆ

NSx · 19/09/2022 18:41

@BethSuz27 if I was you I would test now 16dpo should defo give you a line if you’re preg & tbh your symptoms sound promising - is AF normally late for you?

NSx · 19/09/2022 18:42

@bubble55 i would maybe wait a couple days and get a frer to be certain but it looks good to me! Congrats again βœ¨πŸŽ‰

Babydust99 · 19/09/2022 18:43

@NSx 🀞🀞 what stage of your cycle are you at now? Which cycle is it for you?

BethSuz27 · 19/09/2022 19:16

@NSx I’m going to wait and do fmw tomorrow as I’ve not been holding and I want an accurate test!
AF is usually on time, my cycles are usually 20-24 days so 27 is a long one for me

ive had some crampiness and aches today but not like my usual AF symptoms so 🀞🏻

NSx · 19/09/2022 19:26

@Babydust99 im on cycle 3 and I’m 6dpo - nothing really to report so not hopeful. πŸ˜‚ I know it’s still early days tho.

@BethSuz27 good luck I’m sure it will be good news ✨🀞baby dust

Sparklythings1 · 19/09/2022 19:36

@bubble55 oh congratulations, that looks promising! This is turning out to be a very lucky thread

bubble55 · 19/09/2022 19:46

Mummyme87 · 19/09/2022 19:59

Congratulations @bubble55 thats a lovely line for 9dpo.

Babydust99 · 19/09/2022 21:06

@NSx aww 🀞🀞 I'm just starting cycle 4 now

Londonlady22 · 19/09/2022 21:32

Does anybody else find that when uou are TTC you spend so much time wishing your life away… I feel like i’m constantly just wishing time away!! Wanting time to go faster so I can get my BFP… 😩 you spend your cycle waiting for period to end, then waiting for fertile window, then waiting for ovulation, then waiting for BBT temp rise then the TWW… and then if you get BFN your just waiting for AF and the cycle starts all over again!! I never expected it to be this consuming, sometimes I wish I started earlier 😩 I really don’t want to be wishing time away but I can’t help it…wish I was made aware how hard it can be, all my friends seemed to get pregnant on their first try so I naively assumed I would to. Sorry about the rant, just noone else to vent to!

Shannondd3108 · 19/09/2022 21:42

@bubble55 my looked like that if not even lighter 2 days ago (also at 9dpo) then today got these (11dpo)

bubble55 · 19/09/2022 22:17

@Shannondd3108 aww congrats I really hope mine turns to a strong line like yours! I have a box of FRER and a clearblue digital ready but I’m going to try my best to wait until Saturday πŸ™ˆ

Sparklythings1 · 19/09/2022 22:36

@Londonlady22 totally! What cycle number are you on now? I conceived third time lucky last time and if anyone asks how long it took now I say how quick it was but even to get two months of BFN was soul destroying at the time. I got my period the second month and sat crying eating a bowl of pasta in the kitchen as my husband came in like what is wrong with you? πŸ€” It’s all you think about! I’ve loosely explained opks to him but thought it takes any excitement out of it if I spell out every single thing so I’m then trying to keep it all to myself. He’s going through his day blissfully unaware that I’m on this rollercoaster of wait-cry-wait some more πŸ˜‚

I think the moment AF arrives is the lowest of the whole cycle, you know you have at least a week where nothing will be happening and you’re literally just going to have to wait to get back to square one to have another go! I honestly don’t know how people manage to keep it going over months and years, especially if you don’t mention it to anyone in real life.

NSx · 19/09/2022 22:50

@Babydust99 i don’t think it’s going to happen for me anytime soon, I’ve convinced myself of that, I am a over thinker & have literally diagnosed myself with all sorts of issues πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ with no real evidence to back it up other than not being pregnant yet πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ this ttc takes over your mind and soul 😩 what was life before this, so carefreee πŸ˜…πŸ₯Ή

Londonlady22 · 19/09/2022 22:53

@Sparklythings1 i’m only cycle 3, I imagine there are people reading this rolling their eyes at me, but its the whole uncertainty of it. I never expected it to be on my brain nearly all day everyday!!! I feel silly because I got excited earlier today when I got my positive OPK but then I talked myself down and said to myself β€˜why are you excited, it doesn’t really mean anything’ … then I started feeling really negative thoughts about it never happening and that getting a BFP just feels like a fantasy that will never be real for me πŸ₯Ί Is that a normal thought to have? I dont know!! My husband is also blissfully unaware of my thoughts and feelings lol

Babydust99 · 19/09/2022 23:01

@NSx do you have any children already? I have endo so know it could be a long road but have been pregnant before so that gives me hope 🀞

Babydust99 · 19/09/2022 23:02

@Londonlady22 your not alone. Its a hard road

NSx · 19/09/2022 23:18

@Babydust99 i was 17.5 weeks when I Lost my girl at the end of May, so no living children, trying again for my first.
Happened on my second cycle in feb - but don’t think it will happen that fast this time, if at all, you think the worst don’t you.
Off to do my day 21 bloods tomorrow just Incase atleast I will know if my hormone levels/ovulation are ok?
im sorry you have endo but that doesn’t necessarily mean it will take ages🀞 but I know it’s hard to be hopeful πŸ₯Ή

NSx · 19/09/2022 23:20

@Londonlady22 all your thoughts are completely normal, I feel the same as you - it’s the not knowing for me. Not knowing if it will ever even happen … not that it will take 3/5/7 months etc … but have hope, I believe it will happen when you least expect it 🀞✨

Londonlady22 · 19/09/2022 23:26

@NSx yeah the not knowing is so hard! My brain goes from positive to negative thoughts the whole time, I think to myself β€˜this is my month’ then I just get hit with β€˜no its not, your not that lucky’ and the 20% chance stat sticks in my head.. I stupidly told my friends i’m trying and a couple of them have text me to try and get me to tell them if i’m pregnant yet and I feel like a failure because they all fell so quickly

Babydust99 · 20/09/2022 00:18

@NSx that must have been so hard for you. A close family member lost twins because they were born premature so I can kind of understand how it must have been for you. I've had day 21 bloods done before and they were good. 🀞 yours will be too. I'm sure it will happen for both of us but yes it's the not knowing when that's a killer

Lion14 · 20/09/2022 00:25

After a BFN this morning, I finally got my BFP tonight at 11dpo. Can’t actually believe it! Even though I don’t post a lot, you ladies have helped me so much on this journey, more than you will ever know πŸ₯°

SpringTulips22 · 20/09/2022 05:28

Hi ladies,

I'm 16dpo and 4 days late and have just had a positive test x 2 (verrrrry faint lines) with FMU.

However wanted to share my symptoms in case it can help someone. Due to some of them I was sooo sure that AF was coming and had ruled myself out.

It seems my earliest symptoms were:
-a cold sore

  • hormonal spots (haven't had PMS spots in about 2 years)
-cramps and bloating and slight nausea just like my period was about to start. This was really upsetting but after some research I've realised it is quite normal. Had no idea!
  • no grumpy mood :) (usually I do have this during PMS)
-Implantation bleeding at 11DPO - 1 spot of bright red blood and some pinky fluid. This was quite shocking as I thought it was AF arriving early but colour/texture/form were totally different to usual. Then for following few days had occasional pink-tinged CM.
  • swollen glands in right groin. No idea if this could be related but I'm throwing it in here!
-feel like my boobs might be getting sore today but could be my mind playing tricks.

It is TTC cycle 2 for me, first time.

Wishing everyone good luck, and thinking of those who are struggling with it all. ❀
