Hi everyone ☺️

I am a bit eager with this thread, I've just started my dreaded period (feel a little glum to be honest!) and I have been ovulating quite late, so if by a miracle I am successful this month I would be due end of may/early June. I have been dipping in and out of these threads and found them fantastic support so I hope you don't mind me carrying on the trend!

I am going into cycle 4, I am 31 and were trying for our first πŸ‘ΆπŸ»I suffered a chemical pregnancy recently and I feel SO ready to become pregnant, I want this so badly, as I am sure you all do too!

I was trawling through some old threads and found these facts that I found useful , feel free to read if you like πŸ˜™

  1. 80% of couples having regular sex (2/3 times a week) with no issues will fall pregnant in a year.
  2. 90% of couples having regular sex with no issues will fall pregnant in two years.
3.Each cycle you have approx 20% chance of falling pregnant. 4.The egg only lives for 24 hours so very small window to fertilise it 5.Decent sperm can live up to 5 days inside you so good to have sex before you think you ovulate as well as after. 6.If using ovulation testing the test picks up on Lh surge which often happens after the egg has been released. 7.Most NHS CCG will not investigate fertility problems until you have been having regular unprotected sex for over a year and some places insists for two years. 8.If you track your Basel body temperature it can give you a good indication of when you ovulate to get to know your cycles.
  1. Some types of lube can damage sperm be careful what you are using. (We are using preseed but using it like normal lube, not inserting it prior!)

Wishing you all the luck in world for this cycle 🀞🀞🀞🀞🀞

Hi everyone. Please can I have some help?

This is our 3rd month TTC. We had a BFP on our first month but sadly it ended in a CP. I’m really hoping we get third time lucky this month. I’m using clearblue digital sticks and Premom app but I don’t really know when it means I ovulated? My clearblue showed a static face on Friday (my first test this month with the clearblue as we’ve been on holiday and I forgot to take it) but my Premom sticks were higher on weds and thurs and today and yest barely any line at all. When will I have ovulated? We DTD Thursday night, Friday night and Saturday so hoping we’ve done it enough (and days leading up. We’ve had sex every day and poor OH is knackered!! πŸ˜‚)

Any help is appreciated. Thank you x

@Babydust99 @Tophy124 does drinking water help it ? im not the best at that. πŸ˜…

NSx · 11/09/2022 20:17

@bubble55 it’s hard to say - I usually test a few times a day when the lines start picking up…
for example I’ll show you my OPK’s so you can see last months -
I can’t see if your lines progressed as you only did one test πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«

Babydust99 · 11/09/2022 20:24

@NSx I have no idea but worth a try lol

NSx · 11/09/2022 20:27

@Babydust99 this is true πŸ˜…πŸ˜„ πŸ’¦

bubble55 · 11/09/2022 21:00

@NSx am I meant to do more than one a day? I’m so new to this :(

Tophy124 · 11/09/2022 21:07

@BethSuz27 Oh no! That’s probably exactly why you’re feeling hyper focused as you’re literally surrounded by babies and pregnant ladies. I’m going to really try hard to wait for AF this month and save some money as I spent a lot on firstresponse last month. Good luck if you do test xx

NSx · 11/09/2022 21:46

@bubble55 yes when you see a rise, you would do a couple as LH rises as the day goes on so like me you might get your peak at 9pm.
I’ve just retested myself now and got 0.94 so I think my peak will be here by the morning…
I just got a static smiley too on my CB OPK just now 🀞✨

winningeasy · 11/09/2022 21:48

@bubble55 reckon you prob ovulated on Friday or yesterday. Did you feel any ovulation pain? When did you notice fertile mucus? Those are the best indicators. Seems like you defo caught the window!

Fingers crossed x

NSx · 11/09/2022 21:53

@bubble55 I would say you peaked Thursday and probably ovulated Friday- give or take. But that’s just a guess at your OPks

anotherpotoftea · 11/09/2022 21:59

Symptom spotting insanity continues. I have loads of little bumps around my nipples which I think are new as I’ve never noticed them before. Which has got my hopes up. Which is ridiculous.

Cheapie tests were negative. I think I’m technically still in the 2WW, but it’s highly unlikely we’ve conceived this cycle. We DTD at the wrong times (especially as there were some days when the stress got to us and we didn’t manage it).

FRERs arriving from Amazon on Tuesday. Could go to a shop sooner but trying to calm down.

I didn’t know I wanted this quite as much as I do until today.

Tophy124 · 11/09/2022 23:15

@anotherpotoftea I find the more that I test, the more that I want to keep testing. Up until my AF arrives. It’s like I get addicted to the adrenaline rush whilst waiting to look at the test

Sparklythings1 · 11/09/2022 23:43

@bubble55 yes as they both look high but not peak I’d say your peak lh was cd12 at night. Meaning you will ovulate between cd13 at night and cd14 sometime. I’m sure you’ll have caught it πŸ‘πŸΌ

Sparklythings1 · 11/09/2022 23:49

I think I’ve worked out my norm on opks is about 0.2, looking back at old data on premom I get a day of something above 0.5 then the following day it gets higher, above 1 then peaks either the end of that day or the following day.

i finished reading the babydust method today so to conceive a girl it says dtd only once and it should be 2.5-3 days before ovulation or 2 days before lh peak. You’re supposed to have tracked for 3 months and it sounds like trying for a boy would be easier as you can β€˜try’ twice, 24 hours after lh peak and another 24 hours after that. Whereas the girl strategy seems to require much more guesswork πŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ I’m not hanging about for 3 months to start so I’m just going to aim my one shot to be the day my lh is between 0.5-0.9, hopefully giving me 24 hours til peak and a further 24 hours til ovulation 🀞🏼 It’s a guessing game! Ruling this month out and just waiting for my period now, must have done 30 opks.. I’m over it πŸ˜‚

Glawen · 12/09/2022 00:37

Hi all, can I join please? Fragile and emotional after AF has arrived 😒 Crossing everything for this month/all on this thread πŸ™πŸΌβ€οΈ

Mummyme87 · 12/09/2022 07:10

@bubble55 yes you need to be doing 2-3 OPK a day once they start getting darker, I tend to test about 10am, 2pm, 6pm

@BethSuz27 i’m midwife aswell!!!

3dpo today. Trying not to think about it. I suspect once I get to 5dpo I’ll be going crazy again and symptom spotting all over the place

Mummyme87 · 12/09/2022 10:46

Also on the keeping baby items from previous children, I only kept sentimental bits or stuff I really really loved and could be used again. I did keep co-sleeper crib, cot, newborn car seat, changing table but that’s it. Pram went the journey after second born, got 6yeArs out of it in total and had seen better days. Cant wait to be able to get a new one! Already know what I want πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

LittleMissV989 · 12/09/2022 11:29

Hello everyone please could I join? I am very new to this. This will be my 2nd month ttc. Have you girls got any advice I don't want to get obsessed with tracking ( saying that I've just ordered a thermometer and opksπŸ™ˆ good luck to you all lets hope this is our month xx

StarsieZ · 12/09/2022 11:43

Hey, can I join? I'm 3 days late for AF but I've had negative results so I'm thinking I must have ovulated later than usual. Wish if I did AF would turn up so I can start again! Fingers crossed for a June baby 🀞🏻😊 xx

Tophy124 · 12/09/2022 12:25

@Mummyme87 I bet it’s so interesting for you ladies to be midwives!! Always been a job that fascinates me.

Nearly everything I kept is neutral and could be used by either gender. Based on what @Sparklythings1 has said, I’m convinced we will have another boy based on tracking and when we are trying etc but we won’t be finding out gender.

Id secretly love a little girl I think, but I have no idea how we could make the gender swaying methods work xx

Mummyme87 · 12/09/2022 12:29

@Tophy124 i would not so secretly love a girl after two boys, but 12 cycles in I’m not trying less to attempt to accommodate this!

yes very interesting, amazing and shit all at the same time! Midwifery is at an all time low at present, I’m sure @BethSuz27 will agree. We are in the midst of a protest over an internal pay dispute for overtime which is having major impact over what can be provided within the service. 12yrs of Tory leadership has broken the service (alongside the whole NHS)

ldshz · 12/09/2022 14:44

So this afternoon I have noticed a little blood, I’m 10dpo and I have very regular 31 day cycles and am not due on till Friday.

I know it’s likely just af arriving as I’m not lucky enough to get a bfp in month 1 but if this doesn’t get any heavier should I test in the morning or leave a few days?!

HopingForBaby2 · 12/09/2022 14:47

Hey everyone,

I'm hoping somebody can give me some advice please. This is our first month TTC, I'm currently CD14 and have been doing ovulation tests since CD10. It's not letting me upload a screenshot of my tests from the premom app for some reason, but my LH levels seemed to be rising - CD10 it was 0.14, CD11 it was 0.15, CD12 it was 0.25, CD13 AM it was 0.28 and then PM was 0.36. However I tested this morning and it's gone back down to 0.23, I tested again about an hour and half later and it's 0.22. I think my levels were too low to have had my peak overnight and then dropped back down to 0.23 today... any thoughts? Is it possible to have a false or mini LH surge before getting an actual surge?

Thanks! X

winningeasy · 12/09/2022 14:54

@HopingForBaby2 I think just keep testing 2-3 times a day, there's no way you have missed your peak, seems like it's rising and will prob peak over next couple of days. I find that the readings are lower if I've been drinking a lot of water that afternoon x

HopingForBaby2 · 12/09/2022 14:58

@winningeasy thank you for replying. I will definitely carry on testing. I have drank quite a bit of water this morning thinking about it, so hopefully that is what has caused it. Think I'm just worrying that something is going to go wrong as I've got myself all excited that we've actually started trying! Will give it a few hours and test again x
