Hi everyone ☺️

I am a bit eager with this thread, I've just started my dreaded period (feel a little glum to be honest!) and I have been ovulating quite late, so if by a miracle I am successful this month I would be due end of may/early June. I have been dipping in and out of these threads and found them fantastic support so I hope you don't mind me carrying on the trend!

I am going into cycle 4, I am 31 and were trying for our first πŸ‘ΆπŸ»I suffered a chemical pregnancy recently and I feel SO ready to become pregnant, I want this so badly, as I am sure you all do too!

I was trawling through some old threads and found these facts that I found useful , feel free to read if you like πŸ˜™

  1. 80% of couples having regular sex (2/3 times a week) with no issues will fall pregnant in a year.
  2. 90% of couples having regular sex with no issues will fall pregnant in two years.
3.Each cycle you have approx 20% chance of falling pregnant. 4.The egg only lives for 24 hours so very small window to fertilise it 5.Decent sperm can live up to 5 days inside you so good to have sex before you think you ovulate as well as after. 6.If using ovulation testing the test picks up on Lh surge which often happens after the egg has been released. 7.Most NHS CCG will not investigate fertility problems until you have been having regular unprotected sex for over a year and some places insists for two years. 8.If you track your Basel body temperature it can give you a good indication of when you ovulate to get to know your cycles.
  1. Some types of lube can damage sperm be careful what you are using. (We are using preseed but using it like normal lube, not inserting it prior!)

Wishing you all the luck in world for this cycle 🀞🀞🀞🀞🀞

Just sorted through and donated another 2 huge bags of baby clothing and items to neighbours expecting baby boys. In total I’ve donated around 70% of my sons clothing now, so I’m hoping I’m tempting fate, and half trying to make our move next week a bit easier!

Babydust99 · 11/09/2022 16:18

@NSx it was one step that I used. I got a faint but pink line at 11dpo then a shadow at about 14dpo so I don't know if it was a chemical or a rubbish test. How long do you dip them for? It says 3 seconds on the packs and 15 seconds on the leaflet. I went with 15 as I did one for 3 and it didn't even register that I'd used it. I've had shadows on the easy@home ones before too but no pink lines on them. I thought you could only get colour if it was definitely hcg it was picking up

NSx · 11/09/2022 16:25

@Babydust99 i dip them for 15 seconds too tbh -
ive only had lines on frers - 2 times I had them very faint couldn’t tell if they were coloured or not but turned out to be false positives so maybe indents 🫣

Babydust99 · 11/09/2022 16:30

@NSx I did a frer after the second test at 14dpo but it was negative. Tests are such a minefield. I had at least 5 times more ewcm this month so I'm hoping that's a good sign. Haven't felt great all weekend either but could be something else causing it. It's so hard to know

NSx · 11/09/2022 16:33

@Babydust99 i genuinely don’t even know if I get ewcm it all looks the same to me πŸ˜©πŸ˜‚ I need to pay more attention - the thing is I use preseed anyways so I don’t think it matters much?

Babydust99 · 11/09/2022 16:35

@nsx no I don't think it matters so much of your using pressed. I've been on supplements for 2.5 months now and I'm wondering of they are helping with the ewcm as I usually only get it when I wipe once or twice on one day but this time it was 5 days and my underwear was soaking for a day or two. I found it strange but apparently it's a good sign

SpringTulips22 · 11/09/2022 16:42

Hi all,

Wondering if any of you have had the following (and sorry, TMI!). I am 9DPO today and have quite a lot of thick yellow CM. It is not usually yellow. No smell or unpleasant physical symptoms like itching or anything.

I thought I felt mild cramps since 6/7DPO. Not sure if I was just imagining them, but wouldn't be out of the ordinary for me to have cramping so far ahead of AF.

NSx · 11/09/2022 16:55

@Babydust99 what supplements are u using? I tried starflower oil for 2 months but tbh didn’t really notice a diff but then again I don’t really know what I’m looking for πŸ˜‚ I got pregnant on my own in feb - so I figured sometimes it’s best to let your body just do what it normally does and stop messing about πŸ˜‚πŸ˜… who knows

Babydust99 · 11/09/2022 17:06

@NSx seven seas trying for a baby. I honestly don't even need to look for ewcm, if it's there you'll know lol. Not everyone gets it tho. I never used to. Sorry to hear about your loss in February x

NSx · 11/09/2022 17:20

@Babydust99 i take Pregnacare conception - tbh I get CM but I can’t differentiate between them all πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ I get some wet stuff sometimes that makes me feel like I’ve peed myself - sorry too much info πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Babydust99 · 11/09/2022 17:25

@NSx is super stretchy especially when you wipe. Tmi but its like when a child sneezes and it's hanging off their face πŸ˜‚πŸ€’

Tophy124 · 11/09/2022 17:54

H@Babydust99 haha that is a great description! I haven’t had any EWCM for ages, not too sure why and so I’ve been using preseed to try and compensate

Babydust99 · 11/09/2022 18:00

@Tophy124 most pleasant way I could think of 🀣

NSx · 11/09/2022 18:00

@Babydust99 πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

NSx · 11/09/2022 18:01

@Babydust99 i think I’ve had that but only small bits when I wipe, it looks like snail slime ?? πŸ˜‚

Sparklythings1 · 11/09/2022 18:17

@Firsttimetrying2022 In the book I read today it said 6dpo was the first day you’d actually be pregnant and it would take 3 days for the hcg levels to be high enough to tell so 9dpo but in saying that I felt a cramp feeling which felt like it was in my cervix at 5dpo so I do think it’s possible, unless I’d actually ovulated earlier

Sparklythings1 · 11/09/2022 18:21

@Tophy124 πŸ˜‚ hopefully you don’t kick yourself later. I’ve kept nearly everything but a lot of the tiny stuff is very neutral so could be for either. I don’t know what I’m keeping it all for, even if we did have another boy, it would be some job to sort through it all. I’ve read the book β€˜the secret’ and it says you should do things like that so your thoughts and what you’re putting out to the universe is matching your actions

Babydust99 · 11/09/2022 18:40

@NSx yes that's it πŸ˜‚ some people just have more than others which makes it more obvious

NSx · 11/09/2022 18:43

@Babydust99 its a relief to know I’ve had it and just never known I just must not get as much that comes right out- I think because people say it’s stretchy and put it between their fingers I assumed I didn’t have it because I don’t have that much πŸ˜‚πŸ˜… but I’ve wiped many times and it’s like snail slime πŸ˜‚πŸ˜… but again only on wiping - again sorry TMI πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«πŸ˜…

BethSuz27 · 11/09/2022 19:07

How does everyone stop themselves symptom spotting? I feel like I pick up on every little thing my body does and because I’ve noticed it it makes it worse … if that makes sense?

Tophy124 · 11/09/2022 19:14

@Sparklythings1 So I still have 3 huge boxes of baby items. Lots of bottles, toys etc that never got used. We kept all big items even tho we are about to move. Funny you mention thoughts matching actions etc as after I did the donations I thought β€˜I send this out to them with good energy for their babies and hope it brings me some good baby energy back’ and I found myself making an Amazon wishlist of what we would need for baby 2 🀣

Tophy124 · 11/09/2022 19:18

@BethSuz27 Its really tough and I promise it’s not just you. Ive been reorganizing my house and I clean when I’m anxious or read. I’m currently watching a lot of TV and trying to stay busy. Definitely be mindful of what you’re being exposed to as well! What I mean is, watching call the midwife or being on instagram where the algorithm will keep showing you baby reels or pregnancy announcements (mine does anyway) means your brain will be focused on that. I’m actively seeking out books and shows with no babies and no pregnancies!!

Bad sisters on Apple TV is really good! (Group of sisters who set out to kill their BIL, but it’s a dark comedy so not too dark). I’m rewatching the chilling adventures of Sabrina 🀣 Have been watching the rings of power too. Luckily friends warned me that House of the Dragon has a horrendous (truly truly awful) birth scene so I could skip that scene!

Tophy124 · 11/09/2022 19:19

@NSx Dont think I get much either, but I’m also terrible for drinking anything and probably permanently dehydrated 🀣 Trying to be more conscious of it now!

Babydust99 · 11/09/2022 19:26

@NSx glad I could help πŸ˜‚ I have to say I don't put it between my fingers and play with it 🀣 just know from wiping.

@Tophy124 I'm terrible for drinking anything too, trying hard to drink more

BethSuz27 · 11/09/2022 19:42

@Tophy124 im a midwife as well so work doesn’t even take me away from it! I’ve got a busy few days ahead so hopefully that’ll help… debating taking a test Tuesday when I’m 11dpo but think it’ll just make me sad
