Hi everyone ☺️

I am a bit eager with this thread, I've just started my dreaded period (feel a little glum to be honest!) and I have been ovulating quite late, so if by a miracle I am successful this month I would be due end of may/early June. I have been dipping in and out of these threads and found them fantastic support so I hope you don't mind me carrying on the trend!

I am going into cycle 4, I am 31 and were trying for our first πŸ‘ΆπŸ»I suffered a chemical pregnancy recently and I feel SO ready to become pregnant, I want this so badly, as I am sure you all do too!

I was trawling through some old threads and found these facts that I found useful , feel free to read if you like πŸ˜™

  1. 80% of couples having regular sex (2/3 times a week) with no issues will fall pregnant in a year.
  2. 90% of couples having regular sex with no issues will fall pregnant in two years.
3.Each cycle you have approx 20% chance of falling pregnant. 4.The egg only lives for 24 hours so very small window to fertilise it 5.Decent sperm can live up to 5 days inside you so good to have sex before you think you ovulate as well as after. 6.If using ovulation testing the test picks up on Lh surge which often happens after the egg has been released. 7.Most NHS CCG will not investigate fertility problems until you have been having regular unprotected sex for over a year and some places insists for two years. 8.If you track your Basel body temperature it can give you a good indication of when you ovulate to get to know your cycles.
  1. Some types of lube can damage sperm be careful what you are using. (We are using preseed but using it like normal lube, not inserting it prior!)

Wishing you all the luck in world for this cycle 🀞🀞🀞🀞🀞

Jumping over from the May thread πŸ’ž
On CD3 today.
I started spotting this time from 7DPO, which was really frustrating. So I've started taking vitamin B6 this cycle to see if that'll help balance out my hormones. Does anyone else take it?

Hoping this is a lucky thread for everyone ✨

ExcitedandNervousC1 · 11/09/2022 10:47

Hi Ladies! Back again, CD8 for me but starting to test as I went on holidays recently and apparently flying can mess with ovulation. This is my second cycle properly trying so would love our first BFP.

@Sparklythings1 going to try do the same and not buy tests this month! On my holidays I genuinely thought of nothing but testing and it was a BFN so hoping to avoid that this month

Sparklythings1 · 11/09/2022 11:50

@ExcitedandNervousC1 there’s nothing worse! I found that I did one every day from the point of there being any possibility of it being positive and it was like I just ruined my day every time by getting the bad news. My cycles won’t be in any kind of routine by then though so it’s not like I’ll know if I’ve missed my period but if I at least hold out til day 28 I might only waste one test πŸ™ˆ I’m sure some of these tests were like Β£10 each!

anotherpotoftea · 11/09/2022 11:52

@Sparklythings1 sorry you’re dealing with all this uncertainty. I am also struggling with not knowing what’s going on - if my cycle returned to normal post-pill I’d be due AF today.

No AF, my boobs are sore, I’ve had some weird cramping over the last few days, cheapie tests all negative, am going mad wondering if it’s just my cycle not being back to normal or if we could’ve got lucky. Have ordered some FRERs. Am aware I’m being a bit mad but you never know.

anotherpotoftea · 11/09/2022 11:56

PS at 41 and just off the pill having hardly managed to DTD much this cycle I KNOW I am being mad. This shred of hope is driving me crazy.

K6890 · 11/09/2022 12:10

Hi,

Hope you don't mind me joining. I'm new to Mumsnet and I find all your messages really helpful to read.

After a miscarriage and chemical pregnancy earlier this year, my husband and I are ready to start trying again.

A friend has suggested trying Ferti.Lily - has anybody tried this?

Bluejeanbaby91 · 11/09/2022 12:26

@K6890 I've been using a conception cup for my past 2 cycles and I think I'm getting a faint positive at 10po today.

Really tricky to get the hang of, and I do leave mine in overnight or all day depending on when we DTD

I will say though πŸ˜‚ getting them out is a MESSY NIGHTMARE, but I do think it's worked for me!

K6890 · 11/09/2022 12:49

@Bluejeanbaby91 I've ordered one online today so should hopefully receive it tomorrow so we can start ttc

NSx · 11/09/2022 13:43

@K6890 I’ve just started using fertilily - this is my second cycle using it 🀞✨

@babydust99 here’s the June thread πŸ’•

Babydust99 · 11/09/2022 13:49

Thanks @NSx I should be joining in about a week πŸ™‚

Tophy124 · 11/09/2022 14:03

@BethSuz27 Not trying to get your hopes up, but this sounds really promising!! Sounds like implantation bleeding.

@Foreverhopeful92 Evaporation lines are the worst!! I refuse to use cheap tests any more as I’ve been burned by fake lines before.

Sparklythings1 · 11/09/2022 14:05

@anotherpotoftea oh it does sound possible πŸ‘πŸΌ Fingers crossed for you when they arrive! It’s just so bloody hard to know what’s going on, I’m almost wishing I stopped the pill earlier but at the time I was thinking one cycle then boom, ready to start but it does seem to be a bit more complicated than that so far πŸ™ˆ

Tophy124 · 11/09/2022 14:05

I think I will get the fertility and try starflower oil and NAC next month once I get my AF

Tophy124 · 11/09/2022 14:07

Woah…48% improved chances of pregnancy? Seems like a very bold claim!! Wow!

@Babydust99 hopefully not 🀞🀞🀞

Babydust99 · 11/09/2022 14:11

@NSx thinking positively but don't feel any different so don't want to get my hopes up too soon. Only my 3rd cycle so I'm okay with it not happening this time. Next month would make a lovely Christmas announcement tho πŸ₯°

NSx · 11/09/2022 14:13

@Babydust99 i think I’m about to ovulate maybe Monday or Tuesday β€” this is cycle 3 for me too 🀞🀞🀞
U honestly just don’t know, will u test?

Babydust99 · 11/09/2022 14:15

@NSx yes I've some ic's left still. They gave me a false bfp last month at 11dpo but going to use them up anyway. I'm wondering if I actually had a chemical last cycle but don't think there's any way of knowing for sure. I'm 8/9dpo today, not entirely sure as I missed my peak this cycle

NSx · 11/09/2022 14:17

@Tophy124 i used it last cycle didn’t get pregnant so last cycle I must have had no chance 😩 if that boosts it by 48% πŸ˜‚

NSx · 11/09/2022 14:22

@Babydust99 which IC do you use? I use the one step ones and have never even had a smudge of a line πŸ˜©πŸ˜‚ …
I have 3 frer’s br I won’t use them unless I get any glimmer of hope πŸ˜‚πŸ€ž
I should be going into my TWW on Wednesday maybe or late Tuesday as I just did a strip OPK earlier and got quite a decent second line Premom says 0.74 - flashing smiley today for the 3rd day on my clear blue OPK so should hopefully get a peak/static smiley tomorrow 🀞 this is so stressful πŸ™„

anotherpotoftea · 11/09/2022 14:44

Thanks - I could kick myself for not coming off the pill a couple of years ago to let my cycle come back. But until fairly recently I was on medication that’s super harmful in pregnancy (as in causes birth defects) and wasn’t expecting that to change.

I think I’m just false symptom spotting because I want it so much tbh.

I really hope things make more sense for you asap πŸ’–

BethSuz27 · 11/09/2022 15:05

@Tophy124 yeah that’s what I was thinking coupled with the pain in my left side at 7po! I’ve been trying to tell myself I’m not because I don’t want to get my hopes up but then things keep popping up… I have no idea

BethSuz27 · 11/09/2022 15:08

@winningeasy im not really sure! I usually have a cycle on the shorter side so am predicted AF on CD24 and I’m currently on CD19, I ovulated on CD10, so 9dpo today… I just can’t convince myself that maybe I am

Sparklythings1 · 11/09/2022 15:19

@anotherpotoftea ahh I see, not much you could have done then. It will be what it will be, it’s just frustrating having to wait for everything πŸ™ˆ I remember the waiting from last time, you’re either waiting for your period to end or waiting for your fertile window, then the two week wait then waiting to test then the whole thing again. I’m trying so hard not to get sucked into it all this time but I’m already watching the YouTube videos and spending all my time googling stuff πŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ

fingers crossed you get a nice little surprise then!

Firsttimetrying2022 · 11/09/2022 15:45

Hi,

It's only my second cycle trying for our first so I'm not quite sure what to look out for in terms of symptoms. I'm 4dpo and woke up feeling like a cold was coming and had two naps already today, which is very unusual for me (I don't normally nap when I'm ill, even when I had covid earlier this year). Has anyone experienced anything similar? I know 4dpo is very early so I'm probably just reading too much into it...
