Hi everyone ☺️

I am a bit eager with this thread, I've just started my dreaded period (feel a little glum to be honest!) and I have been ovulating quite late, so if by a miracle I am successful this month I would be due end of may/early June. I have been dipping in and out of these threads and found them fantastic support so I hope you don't mind me carrying on the trend!

I am going into cycle 4, I am 31 and were trying for our first πŸ‘ΆπŸ»I suffered a chemical pregnancy recently and I feel SO ready to become pregnant, I want this so badly, as I am sure you all do too!

I was trawling through some old threads and found these facts that I found useful , feel free to read if you like πŸ˜™

  1. 80% of couples having regular sex (2/3 times a week) with no issues will fall pregnant in a year.
  2. 90% of couples having regular sex with no issues will fall pregnant in two years.
3.Each cycle you have approx 20% chance of falling pregnant. 4.The egg only lives for 24 hours so very small window to fertilise it 5.Decent sperm can live up to 5 days inside you so good to have sex before you think you ovulate as well as after. 6.If using ovulation testing the test picks up on Lh surge which often happens after the egg has been released. 7.Most NHS CCG will not investigate fertility problems until you have been having regular unprotected sex for over a year and some places insists for two years. 8.If you track your Basel body temperature it can give you a good indication of when you ovulate to get to know your cycles.
  1. Some types of lube can damage sperm be careful what you are using. (We are using preseed but using it like normal lube, not inserting it prior!)

Wishing you all the luck in world for this cycle 🀞🀞🀞🀞🀞

Can I join please?

It took me a year to conceive our DD. I am 40 now and really want a second child.

I have slighter higher TSH, am trying to treat it naturally instead of going on Levothyroxine (as I don't need it medically and body can get reliant on it). I conceived the first month I took it so in a bit of a dilemma πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

Been doing lots of detoxing and trying to get healthy again, lots of supplements. And I think something worked this month as I saw a lot of EWCM (never saw this at all when I was ttc before so fairly exciting) and we DTD that day. I got a positive LH that day too, then no EWCM the next day. So hoping it's the right timing even though I believe ovulation comes a day or two after LH peak?

We only DTD once this month tho, so would be a bit of a miracle. I am 2dpo

Baby dust to all and congrats on BFPs
X

Hello to everyone who has joined!

@MrsF111 congratulations and good luck ❀️

NSx · 10/09/2022 13:57

@Mummyme87 oh ok good luck ✨🀞 I’m not in my TWW yet -
I’m hoping to ovulate cd14 - I’m currently cd12 and got my second flashing smiley today ! we only agreed DTD when we got the first flashing smiley yesterday so DTD cd6, cd10 & cd11 or O-2, O-3, O-7 - if I don’t ovulate cd14 then who knows πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
I’ve got my day 21 bloods for cd21 so if I’m late by a day I will have to change that 😩
how are u feeling ???

@MrsF111 congratulations βœ¨πŸŽ‰ hoping for a sticky bean for you 🀞

Hi all

Sorry to impose on your thread, but just need a bit of support!

This is my first cycle trying and I ovulated on CD10 (Positive OPK CD9) so I am currently 8dpo…

I did a test this morning and I think I see the very faintest line on it but I’m also telling myself it’s line eyes!

These are my symptoms (I’m trying so hard not to symptom spot!)

Metallic like taste in my mouth that comes and goes
I seem to have a slightly strong sense of smell
really bad headaches at least once a day
I’m so tired I have to have a nap in the day
Hip pain, it’s kind of like a dragging sensation in my hip
yesterday I had a tingling dull ache in the left side of my lower stomach
for the past few days I’ve been craving everything but also not wanting to eat anything
I’ve also had strange nausea where the nauseous feeling sits at the top of my stomach or in my throat and lingers
I haven’t had constantly painful breasts but I get the occasional sharp tingle in them

i think I’m symptom spotting but I’m just so eager for a baby! I’m thinking I maybe implanted yesterday and that’s what the dull ache in the left side of my low stomach was?
has anyone else had similar and had a BFP?

thankyou so much!

reading these always has me so excited! So happy for the girls with BFP this month!

Beth xx

winningeasy · 10/09/2022 14:12

@BethSuz27 with my DD, I remember my tummy was rumbling so much, and I had like similar to ovulation pains all through the the 2WW, the weird taste defo, I had no boob pain, also I felt different - like the world felt a bit trippy / surreal.

I think it's different for everyone. Fingers crossed for you x

Tophy124 · 10/09/2022 14:58

@MrsF111 Congratulations! Wonderful news!

@Sparklythings1 Ive also been looking more into it since you raised it, and am fascinated by it! We are only having 2 children so this would be our last baby and I can’t decide if I’d like 2 boys or a boy and girl (I think secretly I’d like a girl, tho I would be of course happy to have another boy). But we definitely DTD close to ovulation so I’d be expecting a boy if we got lucky this month! We won’t be finding out gender when we do conceive (tho my husband didn’t want to last time and I cracked at the 20 week scan as I had to know haha)

Tophy124 · 10/09/2022 15:00

@BethSuz27 I had the metallic taste! My work colleagues knew I was pregnant before I tested as I was complaining the water tasted off and metallic they were like ermmmm! I also had lots of cramping but period never showed up.

Do you want us to cast eyes on the test?

HopingForBaby2 · 10/09/2022 16:00

Congratulations @MrsF111 βœ¨πŸ’— and fingers crossed for you @BethSuz27 x

Sparklythings1 · 10/09/2022 16:20

@Tophy124 I know what you mean, I say we’d like 3 but it went really well last time so if anything was such a positive experience this time I maybe wouldn’t want to do it again. I would really love him to have a brother but also selfishly would like to get to experience both boy and girl so I know what you mean

Sparklythings1 · 10/09/2022 16:23

@BethSuz27 I had a weird pressure feeling from 9dpo that came and went, I can only really describe it as like pressure on my cervix πŸ€” I then was in the shower and noticed my boobs felt really full. I got my bfp at 12dpo so that was a few days before and I knew I must be because I’d never felt that before

BethSuz27 · 10/09/2022 16:46

@Tophy124 thankyou! I’m just so confused because I feel like the symptoms come and go so much! The test was so so so faint, I took a picture but I know it’s not there, I’ll post next time I take one!

Tophy124 · 10/09/2022 18:09

@BethSuz27 I also had funny boob feelings and kind of β€˜knew’ I was pregnant too.

not got any feelings this month so gonna try and focus on October!!

@Sparklythings1 I had an awful labor, traumatic labor and a very unwell newborn, so for a very very long time DH didn’t even want to try for another. I was unsure too, but in the last few months we have both decided we would love to have one more. We know we have a 25% chance of our next baby also being a poorly newborn and having a rare genetic issue and we have done genetic counseling to really think it all through. We reached the conclusion that we would like to try and see what happens. I don’t think we will pursue IVF if we don’t conceive naturally (but would have done IVF for baby 1), so trying to be a bit more chill than I was when TTC baby 1 xx

Sparklythings1 · 10/09/2022 18:23

@Tophy124 oh no, sorry to hear that. Hopefully there are no issues this time and you conceive naturally 🀞🏼 A 75% chance of baby being completely fine sounds like quite favourable odds, will keep my fingers crossed

BethSuz27 · 10/09/2022 18:42

@Tophy124 I feel like I sometimes feel like I am and sometimes I don’t, like I haven’t had particularly much today, a few moments of feeling a bit funny, a sore back and random aches very very occasionally in my breasts, as well as part of my gum being swollen (don’t think that’s anything to do with it!)

im going to try and wait out AF which is 17th

Tophy124 · 10/09/2022 18:45

@Sparklythings1 Thank you! That’s what we think too. And my son lives a happy, just slightly more challenging life. Similar to a child with diabetes where medication and careful meals are required. He is so worth it tho!

@BethSuz27 if you can wait it out you will have my admiration!! As I always end up testing over and over again (and no shame if that happens), but when I got my BFP for my son I waited for AF and tested 2 days after it was due and had a very clear line xx

BethSuz27 · 10/09/2022 19:22

@Tophy124 ive now convinced myself this month isn’t my month! I feel so sluggish and off but I don’t know I feel like I’m making the rest of it up!

Sparklythings1 · 10/09/2022 19:46

I think I’m just not buying tests this time then I can’t give in early πŸ™ˆ if it gets to day 28 next cycle and I’ve not got my period I’ll order them next day on Amazon πŸ˜‚ last time I can’t even imagine how much I wasted on tests, the really expensive all singing-all dancing ones too!

Sparklythings1 · 10/09/2022 20:22

CD19 and still ridiculously low readings on opks. I had a reading that looked like it was getting higher although surprisingly only read 0.37 on cd15 at 8am. I then didn’t test until I got in from work at 4.30pm and it was back to 0.2 so I’m wondering if I could possibly have missed the peak in those 8 hours?

Ive read a few things saying it can take 2-4 weeks after the pill for ovulation to occur so it could technically be as late as day 28 if it is to happen. I think I’m just assuming it will because it did the last time in the first month πŸ€”

BethSuz27 · 11/09/2022 02:51

Been at work tonight and feel nothing but not sure if it’s because I’m too busy, now I’ve slowed down and feel a bit sick and have a headache but also could be because of work

BethSuz27 · 11/09/2022 07:49

Update, I slowed down and felt super super sick, couldn’t eat the cereal I’d prepped for my night shift, I’ve got lower back pain and I’ve got brownish discharge that’s only on my underwear, not on wiping…
has anyone had similar? I’m now 9dpo

winningeasy · 11/09/2022 08:37

@BethSuz27 yes I had a bit of brownish discharge around that time too!

Foreverhopeful92 · 11/09/2022 08:44

Hi all

Jumping over from the May thread! CD1 today.

For the first time ever really thought last month was the one but got burnt with an evap on a couple of cheapies and looking at the test late (own fault!) so I’ve decided I’m not testing until 12 dpo absolute earliest this cycle. But let’s see how long that lasts!

Baby dust and luck to everyone πŸ€ xx

BethSuz27 · 11/09/2022 08:54

@winningeasy was it on wiping as well as underwear? Mine is just on underwear so I’m confused a bit …

winningeasy · 11/09/2022 09:05

@BethSuz27 think I just saw like a single spot on my underwear - a tiny amount.

How long is you luteal phase normally? X
