TWW starting 31.07.22 - Company Needed

Hey all!

I'm on several other threads that I'm keeping up with but some of them are a tad long now, so I thought I'd start a new one for people to join.

Ovulation day for me today (30.07.22) so TWW starts officially tomorrow. AF due on the 12th. I have tests in the house, but my goal this month is to keep my mind busy and avoid symptom spotting! I don't plan on testing if I can help it. Want to avoid the disappointment if I can.

We are TTC #1 and we are in cycle 4 now. I had a chemical mid June when we weren't officially TTC but when it happened we realised now was the time to actively try. We wanted it so badly.

So that's a little about me and I would love some company in a slightly smaller thread.

Much love xoxox

@Nypie this is technically my 4th cycle - we tried very naively for the first two with no tracking and just guessing and last month was proper opk and bbt tracking, which helped my brain a lot. Doing the same again this month and very glad I did as I had a double peak for Ov this month and might not have seen it otherwise. How about you?

@LorrenK good luck! Most tests apparently work best with fmu but some people may still get a stronger line in the afternoon, from what I've seen on here. But it's still early for you!

Nypie · 03/08/2022 09:06

@Hannargh I find the tracking really helpful as well, have been doing it for almost a year (to prevent). But now Im past ovulation I think my chart is driving me crazy I just keep comparing on the internet. 1st cycles for us and already lost it.

Hannargh · 03/08/2022 09:13

@Nypie oh yeah I felt the madness setting in last month with our first round of tracking - looking for symptoms, comparing charts, just listening too closely to my body 😅
Anything you can do to keep busy will be good! I'm visiting family and some old school friends over the next week so will hopefully distract myself.

xttcbabyno1x · 03/08/2022 09:15

4dpo today 🎉 slowly getting through it! Roll on next week! I think I will test next Thursday / Friday @ 11/12dpo x

Nypie · 03/08/2022 09:30

@Hannargh you're definitely right! I thought I'd be so chilled this first cycle! I'm out for meals Thursday, Friday, viewing houses on Saturday and going to market on Sunday so hopefully all of that does the trick and this is my last obssesive day 😂

Irishgal1987 · 03/08/2022 11:03

Hi girls, just catching up. Omg @LorrenK all crossed here for you, let us know how you get on with further tests! 🤞🏻
I'm tempted to test this weekend, I'm 7 days away from AF according to Flo. I dont feel I have any real symptoms though so not feeling very confident.

TheCakeIsALie18 · 03/08/2022 12:09

This is 2nd official cycle for us. We started trying in April on our honeymoon and while I was tracking we were really pushing for it. I then fell pg with the chemical end of the may cycle without really trying. Passed that in June and since then we've been properly trying. So yeah, technically 4 cycles, but realistically 2 with planned sex etc.

I try to keep the maths and timings away from Hubby. I don't want him to feel stressed of like we are just going through the motions. To him my libido just goes up mid cycle 🤣 he doesn't understand what goes on in my body... I mean I didn't until I started tracking everything last year haha.

I definitely think it should be taught in school!!!! Xx

Nypie · 03/08/2022 14:40

@TheCakeIsALie18 it really should be along with monry mangement and mental health and wellbeing! I dont know why I was being taught a million different angles and not bein prepared for my actual future 🙄

LorrenK · 03/08/2022 14:50

so i’m no longer convinced 😕 did a cheapie this morning and got a bfn. Ordered some more FRER’s to arrive tomorrow. My temp dipped a little this morning too and I’m having cramps today. But i’m only 9DPO so time will tell.. but not feeling as confident today, I think last night was probably an indent. My husband saw the line too but wasn’t convinced either and I have read alot about FRERs having indent lines.

TheCakeIsALie18 · 03/08/2022 14:53

@Nypie yeah Sex Ed is rubbish in schools. Teach girls about their cycles propey, how to track, how to avoid pregnancy, what is healthy CM, what isn't...etc... rather than just the "you will start your period..." which most girls already had, and the boys get taught to put a condom on.... that's about it... useless!

@LorrenK aww no I'm sorry! Fingers crossed you'll get a BFP in a couple days. Try to find something to take your mind off it xxx

Nypie · 03/08/2022 18:38

@TheCakeIsALie18 I love how they scarred us shitless to practice safe sex and pump all this artificial crap in our bodies but couldnt even convice boys to wear condoms 😂😂

@LorrenK 9dpo is still early and the test may not be sensitive enough. Do what you need to do to prepare for bad news but I think you need to wait until thursday/friday for your levels to rise! Can you do a date night or see some friends?

TheCakeIsALie18 · 04/08/2022 09:00

How is everyone doing with their TWW? Still pretty chilled or are any of you starting to get the need to test? Xx

Hannargh · 04/08/2022 09:13

@TheCakeIsALie18 feeling OK at the moment! I took a leaf out of @xttcbabyno1x 's book and downloaded FF to have another app and spent a satisfying evening transferring my data to it. On FF I'm 4DPO and Premom it's 3DPO but both super early days ...

How are you doing?

TheCakeIsALie18 · 04/08/2022 09:20

@Hannargh I use 2 as well. Clue and Flo. Both say I'm 5dpo today. I'm super lucky because I get ovulation cramps so I know exactly when it's happening haha. But it's still nice to track. Gives me something to put my energy into haha.

Aye, I'm good. Still feeling pretty chilled out. Keep telling myself that if I feel anything it is a figment of my imagination at this point haha. Seems to be working 🤦🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️😅

I'm feeling like I should be able to hold out until AF due 13th 🤞🏻👌🏻 xx

6dpo here and worried that my temp hasnt risen properly and my chart is eractic...had a lot of cm today and my headache has reapeared going to wait till 9dpo to test. Still quite exciting to think someone on this thread is going to get pregnant sooon

TheCakeIsALie18 · 05/08/2022 08:53

@Nypie funny you say that. I'm 6dpo too and My temp hasn't risen as much as it usually does either. I'm about 2-3 tenths lower than I would usually be. No idea what that means though.

Yep very exciting ❤️❤️ xx

@TheCakeIsALie18 honestly dont know whats going on its just dancing above the base line! Ive been looking at erractic ff charts which are making me feel a bit better 😂 but not much symptoms today a 7dpo nipples are less sore slight back pain that I'm sure I'm imagining that

Anyone actually having symptoms 😂😂

TheCakeIsALie18 · 05/08/2022 13:29

@Nypie I'm having something weird that started yesterday morning...

Hay-fever type symptoms. Stuffy/runny/itchy nose, watery eyes, sneezing.... it's not a cold as I feel fine and I've taken antihistamines to no effect... several places I've look have said that a lot of people get that as a symptom before bfp.... I don't want to get my hopes up.... xxx

OP posts:
Nypie · 05/08/2022 14:18

@TheCakeIsALie18 its so hard to not get your hopes up! I've definitely heard about people feeling like they are coming down with something before get there bfp so many 🤞🤞🤞🤞hopefully this is the month!

I'm just lying down and noticed some twinges and pulling going on down there, please be a lovely strongly egg implanting!

TheCakeIsALie18 · 05/08/2022 14:36

@Nypie yeah I knew that congestion was common during pregnancy but I didn't know about hay-fever type symptoms being a common symptom of pg until I couldn't help myself and googled it lol.

I don't feel ill or anything it's just bloody annoying. Sneezing several times an hour and constantly rubbing my nose because it's itchy lol. I've got pulling down there today too but I'm not looking into anything because I don't want to convince myself wrongly lol.

Ooooh I've got everything crossed for you. Roughly 1 week left to wait! Xx

Nypie · 05/08/2022 15:01

@TheCakeIsALie18
ahhh dr google all I've been doing is typing 3dpo...4dpo...5dpo lost it. That does sound promising though!

Haha I feel like everytime I get excited I just think of my chart and it brings me back to life 😂😂.

Lets just say the eggs coulddd be implanting. Go eggs 🥚🥚. I know not long at all until we know for sure...I need to get a life!

TheCakeIsALie18 · 05/08/2022 15:04

@Nypie haha same. My search history is hilarious. I'm just happy I'm not actively symptom spotting this month. Last month was a nightmare haha. Every twinge and niggle I was like ooooh what could this be....

Other than this stupid itchy nose I'm still pretty chilled.

This is our life right now haha. We are all here to support each other during the madness lol xx

Hannargh · 05/08/2022 15:08

@TheCakeIsALie18 @Nypie it's so hard to tell! I've never been pregnant before so I'm watching out for anything, which could be everything and nothing. So just trying to ignore it reminding myself that anything I feel is still just too early (4 or 5 DPO depending on the app). Have either of you had any experience being pregnant before?

I also keep staring at my temp charts to try and interpret what's going on but there's not enough DPO data to work with yet. Doesn't stop me checking them though 🙄
