Hey all!

I'm on several other threads that I'm keeping up with but some of them are a tad long now, so I thought I'd start a new one for people to join.

Ovulation day for me today (30.07.22) so TWW starts officially tomorrow. AF due on the 12th. I have tests in the house, but my goal this month is to keep my mind busy and avoid symptom spotting! I don't plan on testing if I can help it. Want to avoid the disappointment if I can.

We are TTC #1 and we are in cycle 4 now. I had a chemical mid June when we weren't officially TTC but when it happened we realised now was the time to actively try. We wanted it so badly.

So that's a little about me and I would love some company in a slightly smaller thread.

Much love xoxox

@eleveneleven11 I am saddened to hear that 😞😞. I hope you are doing OK and are getting the care you need. Lots of hugs..

Shleepymummy · 27/09/2022 19:04

@eleveneleven11 I’m so so sorry to hear this. I hope you’re ok and A&E were able to provide support. Make sure you take care of yourself this week, be off work if you need to be, stay in bed and rest. Doesn’t matter how many weeks, it’s a huge process the body goes through so take the time you need x

Nypie · 27/09/2022 22:56

So sorry @eleveneleven11 thinking of you.

xttcbabyno1x · 28/09/2022 07:08

@eleveneleven11 I am so sorry hun 🥺 xx

ttcfirstbaby90 · 28/09/2022 16:51

I'm curious has anyone on here checked there rhr?

4dpo now and I'm sure it's nothing to get hopes up for but my rhr has never been as high as it is today can't think of any reason why its so high. 🥴

Hannargh · 28/09/2022 17:30

Hey @ttcfirstbaby90 that's really interesting! I haven't been tracking my RHR but do wear a fitbit and noticed the month I got pregnant that it went up from my normal 62bpm and rode up to 69bpm when I got my official bfp and has stayed up around 68bpm for the last couple of weeks. It seems a good sign but I don't know what it means if it rises by so much!

ttcfirstbaby90 · 28/09/2022 17:33

@Hannargh I've just been reading up and I do think my rise is unusually high. I've been wearing an Apple Watch for around 2 years so have some good data and it's always around 66-68. I felt really lightheaded this morning too, it's possible I could be coming down with something but I feel okay at the moment. Will have to keep an eye on it and update yas. Strange.

Hannargh · 28/09/2022 17:50

@ttcfirstbaby90 it's like with bbt temping - sometimes you can't tell what's going on until you've got a few days clear of it and a positive test in hand. I never had a proper triphasic chart, just erratic up down for days. Still worked apparently!

TheCakeIsALie18 · 05/10/2022 14:34

Hey everyone I'm just checking in. Sorry I'm not about that much. There's been so much stuff going on! 11+4 today and have my 12 week scan next Tuesday.

How are all you pregnant ladies getting on?

I've just had a quick scroll back and @eleveneleven11 I'm so sorry to hear your news. What it a chemical or a normal early loss? You don't have to answer obviously! I'm thinking of you and sending lots of virtual hugs. Rest up. You and your body are strong and you'll come out the other side of this. ❤️❤️ lots of love xxx

Shleepymummy · 05/10/2022 21:59

@TheCakeIsALie18 hope the scan all goes ok! Is this your first scan? Can’t remember if you said you’d had an early one.
I have killer anxiety, got an early scanned booked for next Sunday but now feel I can’t wait another 10 days, just want to know what’s happening asap. 2 friends have just announced they are pregnant so I think this has triggered it.
Any one got any tips for managing those early days anxiety?!

TheCakeIsALie18 · 05/10/2022 22:33

@Shleepymummy I had a scan at 8 weeks where we measured a week and a half early at only 6+3. This triggered anxiety as we were told it could go either way... so we booked another scan for what would then have been about 8 weeks based off that scan... bean had a massive growth spurt and we then measured at 9+6. So I do understand the anxiety.

Whenever I had a bout of panic I tried to find something to take my mind off it but I would also look at this table..... which helped massively. Just watched the % dropping each day ❤️❤️ I hope this helps.

How far along are you now? Xxx

@TheCakeIsALie18 oh yes I remember you saying now about measuring small. That’s good that you booked another and could see it all back on track.
I will try and keep busy. I’ve been completely fine but this double friend pregnancy announcement today has thrown me.
Thanks for the table, that is actually really helpful! I have it in my head the pregnancy may have stopped but my body won’t expel it so I won’t know, so you’re almost wasting time waiting to be told something had gone a while ago. It’s odd. Need to keep busy as you say and manage my anxiety better.
I’m 6 weeks 4 days give or take as my cycle could range by 1-3 days.

TheCakeIsALie18 · 05/10/2022 23:12

@Shleepymummy getting past the 6 week mark is the first milestone. As that's when it's officially not a chemical and has progressed.

The thing I always tried to remind myself of was that cramping is normal (and at times mine were worse than period pains) around that time. I was cramping for a few hours every couple days between 6 and 7 weeks. As long as there isn't any blood or other bad symptoms then the likelihood is that everything is perfectly normal. I'm having a crampy evening tonight.

Are you having any symptoms yet? Xxx

OP posts:
Shleepymummy · 06/10/2022 07:48

@TheCakeIsALie18 yea this is true, I’m trying to stay realistic with it all. I’ve had sore boobs, on and off. No nausea really but with my first baby I was really sick by this point. Guess the comparison doesn’t help! I think cos I’ve had no symptoms really, I feel like it’s not real. Plus I’ve had some shooting pains so convinced myself somethings wrong but mind over matter! I’m guna just wait till early scan and stay calm!
Do you have a bump yet?! Probs still but early

TheCakeIsALie18 · 06/10/2022 23:26

@Shleepymummy yeah try and stay positive. I'm sure all is well. Not too long till your scan ❤️

No bump yet really. I've put on weight and I'm super bloated. It's starting to look like a bump. I reckon by 13 weeks it should be noticeable haha. Going to see my dad next weekend to tell him, would be nice to have a bump by then and not just feel fat and frumpy lol xxx

Hannargh · 07/10/2022 09:49

Hi ladies - hope everyone is doing ok?

I'm around 7 weeks now @TheCakeIsALie18 and a lot like @Shleepymummy I've got sore boobs and not much else, which I'm grateful for but also makes me a little worried that things aren't progressing. That said, I've read sickness can ramp up once the placenta is in place around 9-11 weeks, so I guess we will see! I get a bit bloated in the evenings and I have less appetite overall, which is no bad thing.

First midwife appointment on 18th Oct, and no plans for a scan until the 12 week one. I told my parents last weekend - I wanted them to know and be excited but they've also had pregnancy loss so felt they would be supportive and understanding. I don't think we are telling anyone else until potentially 12 weeks when there's something to show. DH's parents individually cornered him to ask when we were having children, so they can definitely wait a bit longer 😉

How is everybody else doing? Any news?

TheCakeIsALie18 · 07/10/2022 10:23

@Hannargh glad it's all going smoothly for you. If it makes you feel any better, sore boobs and tiredness are the only symptoms I've had this whole time too. Just because there's no sickness doesn't mean everything isn't going well ❤️❤️ I did get super hungry for a couple of weeks around 8 weeks when we had a massive growth spurt. I was hungry all day every day, was a nightmare haha.

Oh god I can't blame you making them wait a bit longer haha. Serves them right for assuming and cornering you lol 🤣 that scan will come around before you know it xxx

Glad to hear pregnancy are going well. 🥳

Im currently 12/13 dpo, peak OPK was 12 days but temperatures say 13. Not testing until Sunday when I'll be 14/15 dpo and 2 days before AF due. I can't face seeing a negative and I have no symptoms whatsoever other than very light cramping on and off since 5 dpo which could just be my mind/my digestive system hah. Feeling a bit deflated past couple of days though. I can't really talk to OH about it because he just thinks I'm being obsessive and that I need to chill out. "It'll happen when it happens" but what if it doesn't.
He also made a comment about not wanting to go through IVF if it came to it I know it's early days to be talking about that but I just felt a bit irritated by it.

ttcfirstbaby90 · 07/10/2022 11:43

My temps are on the same route as last month too. 😫

Hi all!

Good to hear from pregnant ladies that things are progressing positively. Sorry to hear about anxiety issues @Shleepymummy . I am not in your situation but I know I would have been the same. Hope you get some relief.

Sorry to hear @ttcfirstbaby90 about potential AF arrival (still fingers crossed).

As for me this month it was an off month. I am just 1 or 2 DPO but we didn't try at all this cycle. I realized a few weeks back that the timing of this month's fertile window was pretty bad with lots of work related travel and deadlines for me and heavier workload for DH. so we sort of decided to call this NTNP month which has turned into an NT month now that my window has come and gone. I was secretly hoping this would be one of those pcos months i have from time to time where my period/ ovulation is delayed by a week or so especially with the amount of work anxiety/ stress i had past few weeks but alas it wasn't! So sitting out this TWW..

TheCakeIsALie18 · 11/10/2022 13:13

Hey everyone! 12 week scan done today. All looking good. Due date now at 20th April ❤️ and I've made a little photo ready to post to Facebook once we've told my dad this weekend lol.

Thought you ladies might be interested in helping guess gender with the nub theory haha... let me know what you think xxx

@TheCakeIsALie18 such a cute announcement! And hope your Dad is super excited too.

I have no clue how nub theory works - not even sure what I'm looking at for it! Although lots of ladies on the pregnancy groups seem very convinced they can predict!

TheCakeIsALie18 · 11/10/2022 13:47

@Hannargh we haven't told him yet. Going to visit him this weekend, can't wait!

Haha yeah my previous scans show the nub much clearer than today's ones do. Several people are guessing girl so I've got my fingers crossed 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 xxx

Hey everyone! Just wanted to drop a line as I disappeared last month, we actually went on holiday the day I was due my period, and AF arrived on the dot, so I was not pregnant.

Fast forward to today, ttc this month as usual, but the unusual thing was that this month I had absolutely no symptoms - usually I have some cramping in the tww, but this month nothing except sore boobs which is usual for me. Then on day 10 in the evening I started spotting. I have never, ever spotted before and thought oh great AF is here again. But the spotting was pinkish discharge, watery and very very light. It continued yesterday (cd11), no cramps or discomfort, my bbt is still elevated. I ordered some pregnancy tests and they arrived today, I tested this morning and there was a faint line 😳 so of course Im starting to panic and Im in disbelief, I have never, EVER tested positive before. The only different thing we did last month was the HyCoSy as you remember I told you about. The spotting is now pretty mcuh stopped.

I tested again this afternoon and it was clear positive, the line is darker. But now I`m panicking, is it normal to be so light at 12dpo, most women test positive on day 8-9, is everything ok? I so hope this is our miracle 😭 please girls give me strength this has not been easy journey and I need all the positivity and reassurance in the world right now!!! ❤
