TWW starting 31.07.22 - Company Needed

Hey all!

I'm on several other threads that I'm keeping up with but some of them are a tad long now, so I thought I'd start a new one for people to join.

Ovulation day for me today (30.07.22) so TWW starts officially tomorrow. AF due on the 12th. I have tests in the house, but my goal this month is to keep my mind busy and avoid symptom spotting! I don't plan on testing if I can help it. Want to avoid the disappointment if I can.

We are TTC #1 and we are in cycle 4 now. I had a chemical mid June when we weren't officially TTC but when it happened we realised now was the time to actively try. We wanted it so badly.

So that's a little about me and I would love some company in a slightly smaller thread.

@TheCakeIsALie18 No worries! you have the best excuse in the world🤰🏻🤰🏻..haha..and thank you for sharing the pics. There is such conflicting info out there on when women first test positive especially on cheaper tests. Do you actually see a line on the easy at home at 12 dpo? camera doesn't pick it up i think. And definitely no judging from me..i started testing from 6dpo last cycle pretty much everyday 😆

I took this test yesterday or the day before and checked back and it's showing as positive.

can that happen? My period is due Sunday. I didn't have any FRERs left so used a cheapie but not showing much

please help I'm driving myself mad

@Diamondbabe I can see a very faint line! congrats!

@pugsB yeah, you can see the line on the cheapie at 12dpo. A close up picture and it does just about show on the camera lol.

@Diamondbabe I also see a faint line. Take another test in a couple days though, just to be sure that it isn't an evap line. Xxx

Also... we went in expecting to measure at 8+6 and got in there and measured at 9+5 so baby has had a growth spurt from last time. This puts us back on track based on last period. And that's what we were worried about after measuring over a week early last time.

You can see baby's hand and I wish I could show the videos on here. Super strong heartbeat and baby was waving 🥺🥰 went from measuring 5.5mm at 6+1 to measuring nearly 3cm today ❤️ xxx

im due my period Sunday, should it be a lot stronger by now? This was after a day or so over checked back it's shown this. I'm so Confused I've had two miscarriages im finding it difficult x thanks for your kindness x

@Diamondbabe Sorry to hear about your previous MCs 😞. I have never gotten a bfp myself and am certainly no pregnancy expert so maybe my opinion doesn't count much. Maybe others with experience getting bfps can chime in. What will be will be---worrying won't change anything. Praying that you get good news soon and the child meant for you comes into your life soon 🙏🏼🙏🏼..I hope you are able to reassure yourself..I know its easier said than done. Lots of hugs..

@Diamondbabe so I was due my period at 13dpo but I had faint lines until about 16dpo and they gradually started getting darker. At first they would take about 5 minutes to appear but by 20dpo they were appearing in about 1 minute or less. Test again in a couple of days because your hormone levels may be too low at the moment and they double (roughly) every 48-72 hours. But the line colour could take a few more days than that to start becoming noticeable. If you really need to know go and ask for bloods at the GP xxx

I hope everyone is okay. I've been on the road for 4 nights now. It is not agreeing with my skin or hair. I think it must be the water down here haha. I'm used to soft water in Yorkshire. Anyhow been a little busy.

I'm pleased to announce I've hit my peak today so ovulation day tomorrow. When the van is a rocking don't come knocking. 😂

I am a class clown if you hadn't already noticed. 🤣

This has concluded my LP is about 17 days which according to Google is the latter end of normal so I'm feel positive. Come on cycle number 3 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

@TheCakeIsALie18 congratulations on healthy bub! so pleased that everything is going well for you, your scan pictures made my heart happy 🥰

i think i am around 5 weeks today. i did a test this morning and i would have liked the line to have been darker? never been pregnant before though so i'm not sure if it should be at this point. i used a cheap boots own test and this was the line after around 8 minutes (5 mins wait time advised). it didn't come up straight away either.

im out of the country at the moment until monday so can't use one of my better tests! any thoughts/experience of testing at 5 weeks? x

So at 5 weeks, I don't want to worry you, but my lines were pretty dark. With my chemical the test wasn't getting darker and I passed it at 5+4. If you're concerned at all then go and see a gp for bloods. I've got my fingers crossed for you though xxxx

@eleveneleven11 have you been testing regularly or was this just a one off to check in on things? Any idea how sensitive the Boots test is?
As @TheCakeIsALie18 says, I'd expect it to be darker too, but I've only been using a set of 10miu cheapies so don't know what the line would look like on a less sensitive test.

@TheCakeIsALie18 @Hannargh i've tested once since getting my BFP and that was on a cheap strip test 3 days after. i'm just checking now and again rather than regularly. i wish i hadn't bothered to on holiday though as i've potentially put a dampener on it!
when i get home i'll do a digital and see what it says and if it's not looking good i'll phone the doctors. xx

hey everyone, a sad update from me.

yesterday morning at 10am i started bleeding and have pretty much been bleeding ever since - both old blood fresh blood and clots. i've done a test and there's nothing on it anymore, a total negative.

i'm back in the UK now and have a scan booked at the hospital for friday afternoon but heading to A&E shortly to see if they can speed things along as i'm feeling woozy.
