Hey all!

I'm on several other threads that I'm keeping up with but some of them are a tad long now, so I thought I'd start a new one for people to join.

Ovulation day for me today (30.07.22) so TWW starts officially tomorrow. AF due on the 12th. I have tests in the house, but my goal this month is to keep my mind busy and avoid symptom spotting! I don't plan on testing if I can help it. Want to avoid the disappointment if I can.

We are TTC #1 and we are in cycle 4 now. I had a chemical mid June when we weren't officially TTC but when it happened we realised now was the time to actively try. We wanted it so badly.

So that's a little about me and I would love some company in a slightly smaller thread.

Much love xoxox

@JoanHants heyyy! Congratulations! I have added the picture of my 11dpo and 12dpo tests.... I'm now nearly 14 weeks.

I didn't get a dye stealer until nearly 30dpo. Everyone is different. If you're getting your faint line at 12dpo it means you implanted at about 7/8 dpo which is bang on time, and roughly same time that I did!

I'm super happy for you. Try and stay positive. It's looking good for you xxx ❤️

@JoanHants

Also going to say that testing positive on 7/8 isn't actually that common. The average day to implant is between 7 and 10dpo and it takes on average 5 days for there to be enough hCG in urine to be detected. So you are bang on time ❤️❤️❤️ xxx

@TheCakeIsALie18 thank you so so much!! I am truly still in disbelief, my husband did not believe it either! Lots of happy tears tonight 😭 honestly its so surreal, after countless negative tests and many years it still hasn`t sinked in yet. I truly hope everything will go smoothly from now on 🙏💓

I hope your pregnacy is going well amd thank you so much for taking the time to respond and post your tests, you honestly have no idea what this means to me 💓

TheCakeIsALie18 · 18/10/2022 21:31

Sorry for the late reply @JoanHants but that's such wonderful news!!! Hope you're feeling OK? I know it's so early to be excited but just getting that positive is such a big step. Keep us updated about how you're getting on xx

I had my booking in appointment earlier this week, so things are feeling a lot more real now. Just waiting to hear the date of my first scan, which is what I'm desperately waiting for.

JoanHants · 21/10/2022 10:22

Hi girls!

Quick and sad update, I tested again the following day and the line was definitely progressing, but unfortunately in the evening I started to bleed heavily and it turns out it was chemical after all.

But you have no idea how mch hope this has given me! I was heartbroken, but I strongly believe it will happen again and I will have my rainbow baby ❤❤

@Hannargh so so happy for you! I hope your scan will go well 😊💓

TheCakeIsALie18 · 21/10/2022 16:35

I'm glad things are going well for you @Hannargh keep up posted about your scan! I have my gender reveal scan on the 5th ❤️

@JoanHants aww I'm so sorry to hear that. But yes, definitely stay positive because it means everything is working as it should! You could catch again as early as 2 weeks after passing a chemical! I've got everything crossed for you that next time will be yours! Xxx

Hey all! Appologies for being MIA this ttc lark is harrd. Also so sorry @JoanHants this is so cruel. I hope your sticky bean is on their way soon.

I have a bit of crazy today and I just can not make a new post or tell my partner right now so I'm putting it here. I think these test must hate me, anyway I thought I may have had a faint positive last month (1st pic) I was also incredible run down sore throat fever no covid anyway witch came decided to not put much effort into it this month but I wanted to check when I was ovulating to know when to expect her next visit. Its cd14 and I'm not getting my usual ovulation pains so I did both a lh & a hcg test and got this (2nd pic & 3rd). I know I'm not pregnant...possible dud test possible mmc from last cycle?

P.s @TheCakeIsALie18 love your announcement.

Thanks @Nypie ❤️ we are gamer needs so needed something fitting haha.

Hmm I'm not sure what to suggest there. I can see a a 2nd line in the 3rd pic on hCG. You said it was CD14 today? If it was a MMC or CP from last cycle the hCG would have dropped by now and should show nothing. Might be worth speaking to the doctor and asking for a blood test just to double check? Maybe check again in a couple of days, just to make sure.

I've also just done a bit of googling for you and LH and hCG are very similar hormones. It's quite possible, and common, for an ov test to show as positive when it's actually hCG it's picking up. So you could be pg... but obviously I don't want to get your hopes up so soon.

What CD do you usually O? You could have ov early this month? Xxx

@TheCakeIsALie18 haha I love that you've went for a shared interest.

This is really helpful and you're right after 14 days it shouldnt really be showing anything if it was a mmc. I'm gonna go with very cruel test though I'll test again in the morning. I have heard about the positive lh thing but thats very interesting about the hormones. The earliest I've ovulated is cd 12 so that doesnt seem likely but I'm also not getting my usual ovulation pain but am getting a lot of cm and its quite stretchy.

eleveneleven11 · 24/10/2022 08:37

hey all! hope everyone is ok. i stopped posting after my mc but have kept an eye on all the goings on over here. @JoanHants i am so sorry to hear about your disappointment- that's so torturous! are you feeling ok?

sooo pleased to see everything going well for you @TheCakeIsALie18 🥰 can't wait to hear about your gender scan!

i'm 10 dpo today in my post-mc cycle and took a cheapie test yesterday and this morning as i wanted to ease myself into the disappointment if we weren't pregnant this week however i could see something on both tests but not enough to be sure.

after i saw something on this mornings cheapie i risked it and did my last frer and it's come back positive. i can't believe it! i must have conceived about 2 weeks after my mc. i haven't told my husband yet as it still feels a bit early and we were both rushing off to work this morning. i just HAD to tell someone so headed straight here!

@Nypie well if it is a crap test and you've still got EWCM you're still in with a chance! Keep us posted over the next couple weeks ❤️ xxx

@eleveneleven11 omg I'm so sorry I didn't pick this up yesterday!!! I definitely see a line! They say thay you are extra fertile after a MC for up to 3months! We caught with only 1 cycle in between our MC. Eeek so excited for you! Have you told hubby yet? Have you tested again this morning? Xxx

OP posts:
eleveneleven11 · 25/10/2022 09:24

@TheCakeIsALie18 thank you! i wondered whether the whole more fertile after a MC thing was a bit of a myth but maybe not. the doctor did advise we use protection this cycle and let my body have a period but here we are - oops!

i have been testing on easy@home strips since Sunday and they are getting darker each day. today's was definitely a BFP. i still haven't told hubby - i'm going to do a digital in the morning and surprise him. he thinks i'm testing thursday as that's when AF is due :) xx

TheCakeIsALie18 · 25/10/2022 10:28

Awww @eleveneleven11 I'm so happy for you!!! I'm glad it's getting darker this time! Keep us updated with progress lines. I love watching them get darker haha. I took them until 30dpo haha several days after a dye stealer 🤣🤣 just wanted to make use of the box of tests..... xxx

@TheCakeIsALie18 thank you so much 🥹 means a lot! it's strange being back in this position again but i'm feeling good and not too anxious yet. surely this must be our time for it to actually happen 🤍
lol the feeling of seeing a positive is soooo addictive, i totally get it! xx

TheCakeIsALie18 · 25/10/2022 12:22

@eleveneleven11 fingers crossed this is your time!! I would highly recommend booking an early private scan to nip any anxiety in the bud before it starts. We had a great experience at our first one and because we were measuring over a week earlier than we expected they gave us half price off another scan a couple weeks later to check progress. In those 2 weeks I got crazy hungry and was eating all the time lol. Baby grew back up to where they should have been originally haha. They were amazing at putting our minds at ease. They showed us the heartbeat and talked us through the likelihood of the pregnancy being viable etc. Was really good. Our NHS 12 weeks was soo.... meh... lacking of any feeling... they were just going through the motions. Hence why we've booked our gender scan with the private company. They also gave us sooooo many freebie baby things. We've got all the bottles and dummies we could ever need thanks to them haha xxx

OP posts:
eleveneleven11 · 25/10/2022 13:15

when did you have your first private scan? because we miscarried previously, my local NHS early pregnancy assessment unit will do a scan for us at 8 weeks. but yes i've heard the same, that the private scans are much more of a lovely experience so i'm definitely up for booking a few of those also!

that's soooo cute that you got freebies! ❤️ who doesn't love a freebie. especially when there's 101 things to buy to prepare for parenthood 🤣 xx

Nypie · 25/10/2022 22:19

Aw congratulations
@eleveneleven11

@TheCakeIsALie18 thanks so much for the ear or the eyes! Yesterday the hcg line was lighter and today lighter still and lh was the darkest I've ever seen today and finally getting pains, cd17 is pretty late for me but thankful it seems to be happening. Crazy journey.

TheCakeIsALie18 · 25/10/2022 23:43

@eleveneleven11 so some places do transvaginal scans as early as 6 weeks. We booked our transabdominal scan for 8 weeks but measured in at 6+4 for the first one. But they were so lovely and explained all the possible outcomes of measuring early to us. Joe are your test lines looking??

@Nypie ooh I'm glad you're getting a strong opk now. I hope this is your month! Get on with TTC. Keeping my fingers crossed for youuuu!! Xxx

@Nypie thank you! hope everything is ok with you xx

@TheCakeIsALie18 i think you've convinced me to just opt for the private 8 week and skip the NHS one. maybe both lol but definitely the private one.

here are my tests today. took a few today as i surprised my husband with the digital. first pic is todays tests, the next is my 48 hr frer progression and the last is my daily strip test progression! xx

@eleveneleven11 eeeek such strong lines already. Soo happy for you!!!

Yeah, defo go for the private one. We have loved every one of ours. They're just so friendly. At our 12 week NHS one the sonographer was really rude like she didn't want to be there and we asked her what they do about gender scans. She just replied with we don't participate in gender scans. If we see it we will tell you if we don't, we won't. And that was it.... soooo rude xxx

Thank you 🥰🥰 @TheCakeIsALie18 @eleveneleven11 look at those beautiful lines!

Shleepymummy · 27/10/2022 08:47

Congratulations @eleveneleven11! Amazing news! Yes go for a private scan if that helps your anxiety but defo still go to NHS one offered at 8 weeks too! No harm in having 2 and the NHS one will provide more medical information (if needed) compared to a private one which will be sonographer lead. I’m sure everything will be right as rain. So pleased for you, that positive test is always so nice to see x

eleveneleven11 · 27/10/2022 13:49

@TheCakeIsALie18 @Nypie @Shleepymummy thanks ladies! what is it about looking at those 2 lines that's so addictive?! i carried yesterday's frer test around the house with me yesterday and just kept looking at it hahahaha

yes we've decided we're going to do both scans. good point @Shleepymummy that they will both be a bit different. how are you getting on with your pregnancy by the way?! xx
