TWW starting 31.07.22 - Company Needed

Hey all!

I'm on several other threads that I'm keeping up with but some of them are a tad long now, so I thought I'd start a new one for people to join.

Ovulation day for me today (30.07.22) so TWW starts officially tomorrow. AF due on the 12th. I have tests in the house, but my goal this month is to keep my mind busy and avoid symptom spotting! I don't plan on testing if I can help it. Want to avoid the disappointment if I can.

We are TTC #1 and we are in cycle 4 now. I had a chemical mid June when we weren't officially TTC but when it happened we realised now was the time to actively try. We wanted it so badly.

So that's a little about me and I would love some company in a slightly smaller thread.

@Hannargh ahhh congratulations! Wow you found out super early. How many dpo were you when you got your positive? Xxx

@TheCakeIsALie18 haha I've really only just found out. Saw a hint of a line at 10DPO but couldn't deny it any more this morning (15DPO). I'm 4 days late for AF. So we will see where this goes!

@Hannargh aww well that's lovely. I found out at 11dpo with the faintest of faint lines that the camera didn't even pick up haha xxx

Just rejoining this thread I was on last cycle to say got the two lines today! X

@Nypie thanks for the well wishes! off to buy a load more tests today so i can relive that positive result buzz for a few weeks until we can have an early scan! x

@TheCakeIsALie18 hey, great to hear from you! pleased to report that i have joined the pregnancy train as of yesterday at a very early 4 weeks :) at 13/14 dpo i think. so glad to hear everything is going well for you! that 12 week mark has come round nice and quickly. have you told many people? x

@Hannargh as lovely as it would be to wait until his birthday i feel like that would be near enough impossible!! such a special early present for him though :) x

i had my 30th birthday night out last night and wow it was a struggle! couldn't relax at all and ended up having to do 2 shots because i literally couldn't avoid them. but otherwise i don't think anyone realised i wasn't drinking. i was the first one to go home after just 3 hours out so naturally got a lot of grief 🤣

@Greymalkin12 ah that's lovely news to come back to, congratulations! How many DPO are you?

@eleveneleven11 sounds like you managed it as best you could - but hope you had fun anyway!

Me and DH watched the great sperm race documentary yesterday and went woaaa! Also did an at home sperm check which thankfully came back positive. Plan on BD-ing more this cycle during fertile window. Only could do it once in those 5-6 days last cycle. He has to go to work super early in the morning so if we don't make it to bed early its not gonna happen..haha..Now I feel like we should have made the most of work-from-home luxury we had last few years..sigh 😒

@pugsB yeah i'm doing really well thank you! yes this will be my first 😊 and got lucky on the fourth cycle trying and tracking. i've not heard of that documentary - what is it?! i'm guessing it's about conception haha.
i noticed those at home sperm tests today in boots when stocking up on pregnancy tests. so cool that you can get stuff like that in the shops! it's so nice to be able to have that peace of mind that your OH's swimmers are all in working order lol 😅
enjoy the BD-ing! we did it 3 times this cycle including the day i got my peak on opks and the day after.
get those early nights scheduled in 🤣 x

May i know which dpo you got your first respective positives @xttcbabyno1x @TheCakeIsALie18 @Greymalkin12 . I have a rough sense of this for the recent positives but would like to know about yours to build the statistics in my head..haha

@eleveneleven11 that documentary is about what the sperms have to endure from ejaculation to finally meeting the egg. it actually made us do the test. Ya, alteast we know the numbers are OK. will get more serious testing if nothing happens in another 6 months or so. Thanks for sharing. 4 cycles is super fast! Yes, both of us are committed to more BD-ing even if we have to skip making dinner..😂

@eleveneleven11 when do you think you'll go for the scan! Aw that sounds stressful but little bean is not hooked up to your blood stream yet so no guilt for you!

@pugsB this month I was really stressed with other things, took a few ovulation sticks, wasn't ahem as busy with my other half as the previous cycle, didn't update my app properly and then was driving back from work one day and calculated that I was already around 14dpo so tested. The cycle before I had got a bit obsessed and was so convinced I was pregnant and has tested from around 7dpo. I haven't had much recent luck with pregnancies (although I have a child so lucky in that respect). I seem to be able to get pregnant but not to keep them - so really hope this goes better x

@pugsB no problem at all lovely! I was 8dpo when I got my very faint positive on an FRER , it was visible and could pick it up on camera, it was just faint! You can implant anywhere from 5-12 dpo xxx

@Greymalkin12 its funny how things workout sometimes no..when we are expecting the least! sorry to hear about your recent struggles. hope this one goes as smooth as possible!

Hi everyone - just wondered how everyone was getting on today?

I'm feeling exceptionally unpregnant but my tests are getting darker (I will stop checking soon, honest. I'm blaming the box of cheapies that I have lying around).

How is everyone else?

@Hannargh hey! thanks for checking in :) it's such a weird time isn't it - being pregnant but feeling pretty normal. I've been feeling good. yesterday i had some mild abdominal pain - felt like a heavy pressure in my tummy, like i had rocks in there. it passed after an hour and a half and a dog walk. im also still waking up in the night/early morning and struggling to get back to sleep which was something i mentioned on here back on maybe 5/6 dpo.
i took a cheap test this morning and got a nice line. :)

really glad to hear your tests are getting darker! I've decided to test maybe once or twice a week but limit myself. have you been testing daily? x

hello hello! All fine here thanks @Hannargh. I did a test on Sunday, nothing since then. I have one test left so trying to save that for a weeks time, maybe?! I’m not a serial tester as I just see it as peeing on money 😂 but I totally get the buzz it gives you seeing that positive! I have ordered a digital one to do in a week or so.
How are you doing?

@Hannargh not sure how to describe it, very tired, feel rather brain dead. But emotionally all over the place, daughter was late for school this morning which resulted in tears everywhere from me, which is not a normal reaction!

I've had some light occasional cramps, but am feeling fairly energetic. Although I've noticed that my words keep swapping for the opposite word when I speak, which may be a problem at some point 🤪

I've got a box of 30 cheapie tests so have just been using one a day to see what's going on (especially with no obvious outward signs) but I will stop by 20dpo I promise! I can stop any time! I may take a digital a few weeks later just to show family (and for my own peace of mind) as I'm not planning any early scans or anything.

(To reassure myself and my bank, the tests were about £4 for a box of 30, and are the most expensive ones I've bought so far 🙃)

@pugsB sorry lovely only now seen your message. I got my first super faint line at 10dpo but camera didn't pick it up lol. Here is my collection of tests..... don't judge me I became a serial tester after the MC lol xxx
